cadets, juniors and seniors (men and women) will be organized by the Croatian
Wrestling Federation in Fažana, CROATIA, from June 3rd to June 5th 2016.
The Croatian Wrestling Federation has the honor to invite your Team to
participate.

Bi Village is located in Fazana, charming town with
Roman and Venetian influences, situated in front
of the Brijuni Islands and its national park, just 7
km from the tourist center of Pula.
Pula is small town at south peninsula Istra,
the most touristic region in the Croatia.
Despite the known history, developed
olive and wine growing, the city is also
an industrial center of this part of Croatia.
Amphiteateatar in Pula is among
the six largest surviving Roman arena
in the World and trademark of Pula.
Amphitheater is still used today as the
most beautiful stage for world-famous
artists and other cultural and sport events.
Pula and Fažana surrounded by natural beauty,
sea and tourist attractions, what stands out
Brijuni National Park, just across from the
beach wrestling arena.
REGULATIONS
OF THE 2016 BEACH WRESTLING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
FOR CADETS, JUNIORS AND SENIORS (MEN AND WOMEN)
FAŽANA, CROATIA, 03 – 05 JUNE 2016
I. GENERAL
1. The United World Wrestling (UWW) has entrusted the Croatian Wrestling Federation
with the Organization of the 2016 Beach Wrestling World Championships for Cadets,
Juniors and Seniors (Men and Women).
2. The competition will be held according to the UWW International Beach Wrestling
Regulations and all other Regulations of UWW.
3. 2016 Beach Wrestling World Championships will be prepared by the Organizing
Committee set up within the Croatian Wrestling Federation.
4. The Croatian Wrestling Federation is responsible for sending the entry forms which are
needed for obtaining visas at the latest two months before the Championship to all
the National Federations. Federations who are required to get visas to be able to enter
Republic of Croatia and take part in the Championship must contact nearest Croatian
embassy or consulate. Croatian Wrestling Federation will prepare the Visa Support
letter to the Federations upon received request.

III. PARTICIPATION
1. Participation at the 2016 Beach Wrestling World Championships is open to all national
wrestling federations affiliated with UWW, provided that they have fulfilled their
financial and information obligations toward UWW according to the UWW Statutes
and Regulations and towards the Organizing Committee as per these Regulations for
the duration of the Championship.
2. All competitors must be of age limits within their age group. The age and nationality
will be checked with the passport at the weight-in. The age category of participants is
determined according to UWW International Beach Wrestling Regulations and
described in Article IV.2.
3. All wrestlers must be in possession of a valid license purchased beforehand from
UWW. Exceptionally, wrestlers who do not have a valid UWW licence will be able to
purchase it from UWW technical delegate upon arrival.
4. The structure of the official delegation laid down by UWW is as follows for each
wrestling styles:

5. Referees are included among the official persons. The number of official persons will
be established after the preliminary entries creating the base of payment of
accreditation fees.
6. Entries on the official entry forms, which can be found at the official Web page of the
Championship (www.beachwrestling2016.com) are to be sent by e-mail as follows
both to the UWW and to the Organizing Committee:
- Preliminary entries: till April 3rd, 2016
- Final entries: till May 4rd, 2016
- In case of last minute changes in Final entries lists (different names of the
competitiors due to injuries, etc.), the correct Final entries are to be given to the
Organizer upon arrival and during accreditation and registration, or given latest
twelve (12) hours before weigh-in to the competition secretariat provided that
preliminary and final entries were duly submitted. Failing to do so will result that
wrestlers who are not on the final entry forms will not be authorized to take part
in the Championship.
7. The above conditions must be respected by National Federations wishing to attend the
Championship in order for accommodation to be booked according to our Regulations.
8. All international referees can officiate at the Championship. Referees must present
their valid license for the year 2016.
IV. TECHNICAL CONDITIONS
1. The competition will be held according to the UWW International Beach Wrestling
Regulations.
2. The competition will be conducted in the following weight and age categories:
Cadets (16-17 years old*)
Men: 60, 70, +70 kg
Women: 50, +50 kg
Juniors (18-20 years old**)
Men: 60, 70, 80, +80 kg
Women: 50, 60, +60 kg
Seniors (20 and older***)
Men: 70, 80, 90, +90 kg
Women: 60, 70, +70 kg
*Cadets (from 15 with medical and parental certificate)
**Juniors (from 17 with medical and parental certificate)
***Seniors (from 18 with medical certificate)
3. The organizing committee is responsible for the first aid during the competition. The
annual UWW stamp covers medical assistance to the wrestler in the event of an
accident. If the person insured wishes to have a medical examination or receive
treatment which is not linked to an accident which happened during the
Championships, either he or his National Federation must bear the cost of this
examination or treatment. These costs cannot be reimbursed by the insurance
company.
4. The sampling procedure and the doping control will be conducted according to IOC,
WADA and UWW Regulations. The samples will be analyzed by the IOC accredited
laboratory.
V. MEDALS AND TROPHIES
1. The organizing committee will give individual prizes for each weight category as
follows:
- gold medal, certificate
- silver medal, certificate
- bronze medals, certificates
2. Each participant shall receive diploma.
3. The first three teams in each age group will receive a cup.
VI. OFFICIAL CEREMONIES
1. Each participating team must be present at the opening ceremony of the
Championship according to the organizing committee's instructions.
2. The national flags of the countries whose wrestlers and teams obtained 1st - 3rd place
will be hoisted once the medals have been awarded.
3. The national anthem will be played for each individual and team champion.
4. Teams are requested to bring their national flag (100 x 150 cm) and anthem on CD
which are to be handed over to organizers at accreditation. Should these items be
available for the Organizing Committee in advance it is the team leader's duty to check
them.
VII. TRANSPORTATION
1. Free transportation will be available from Pula Airport and Pula Main Railway Station
to the accommodation sites and from the accommodation sites to the competition
place.
2. Upon specific requests from the interested teams, the organizer will organize a pickup and drop-of from and to the Zagreb, Rijeka or Trieste airport for an additional fee.

1. Accommodation for all competitors is provided in two/four bed apartmens with full
sanitation provisions.
2. Meals corresponding to a calorific value of the UWW Rules will be served to those
accredited in the hotels where they are staying.
3. The organizing committee assumes no responsibility for people who are not on the list
of entries by name or for people entered over and above the number allowed for in
the Regulations unless this is agreed beforehand.
IX. FINANCIAL CONDITIONS
1. Heads of delegations and individual participants shall pay the participation and
accreditation costs to the Organizing Committee and UWW Delegate upon arrival
before accreditation.

3. The team leaders will settle their team's participation costs in one payment. No
accreditation will take place without the participation and accreditation costs being
paid. In order to speed up the accreitation porcess, it is strongly recommended that
the accreditation costs are paid via direct bank transfer, to the Organizer's bank

4. All participants and accompanying persons are required to pay the Organizing
Committee CHF 100/day/person (or 100EUR/day/person or 110USD/day/person) for
accommodation, meals and local transportation. The applicable period is the official
duration of the Championships plus 2 (two) days before and 1 (one) day after it.
5. The minimum length of accreditation is 3 (three) nights.
6. Delegations with more members than allowed in article III.4. of these Regulations as
well as delegations which stay longer then the period allowed must pay the costs
100CHF/day/person (or 100EUR/day/person or 110USD/day/person).
7. The numbers included in the final accreditation list constitute the base for the payment
of accreditation fee.
8. Each team which has been entered for the championship, but which does not turn up,
or turns up with fewer wrestlers or accompanying members than originally enounced
will have to pay the organizing committee the hotel costs for all individuals previously
entered. The requirement is followed by issuing settled invoices.
9. Delegation leaders will be responsible for any damage incurred by members of their
delegation during their stay.
X. MISCELLANEOUS
1. Countries in need of visa to enter Republic of Croatia must contact the embassy or
consulate of Croatia in their country of residence, or the nearest Croatian Diplomatic
Mission designated for their country. If asked by the embassy concerned, the Croatian
Wrestling Federation will send individual invitations to the participants.
2. In case of an eventual visa obligation early arrangements are recommended.
