Le grand bal de Noel
This concert, winner of the Opus Award for the Concert of the year — Young
Public 2004–2005, tells the story of a young singer who happens to lose her
voice and her memory the morning of an important concert... how unlucky can
you get? But where could her singing talent have gone? Using spontaneity,
innocence and humour, Annabelle Canto and her pianist Henry set out on a quest
for this magical voice. Along their musical route, they discover astonishing and
majestic opera characters.

Papageno and the Magic Flute

Presented by two singer/actors, a cellist and a pianist in a child friendly format,
the Shoestring Magic Flute is based on Mozart’s opera The Magic Flute. In our
version we meet Allegra on her way back from school. She finds herself lost in
a dark forest where she meets a feathered bird catcher named Papageno. It
seems he is lost in the forest too. They agree to help each other find their way
out of the forest and back home. Through the power of music and the magic of
make-believe, Papageno and Allegra embark on an adventure of sharing and
self-discovery. The performance at 15:00 is bilingual.

From their distant home on an ice floe, three penguin musicians have waddled
all the way to the North Pole for the great Christmas party. But what a
disappointment: they’re refused admission! To get in, they have to perform
an original Christmas song. For Amatin, Ademain and Atemplein, making up
a Christmas song on the spot is quite a challenge. Will the three chums find
inspiration? Will they be ready in time for the dazzling celebration? Help them out
and come along to the party! After all, Christmas is about more than just a song.

This powerful history of percussion starts in
Africa, the land of rhythm, where instruments
resonate and music resounds. This animated
concert takes listeners on a magical journey
through percussion history, with stops along
the way in the Middle East, Europe and the
Americas. From African and Brazilian music to
the hip hop of today, these instruments transcend
all culture and time. Discover exotic and
colourful percussion instruments like the kalungu,
djembe, derbouka, tambourine, cymbals and
apito, in this rhythmic concert experience!

d’une jeune cantatrice qui, le matin d’un
important récital, oh! comble de malheur,
perd la voix et la mémoire. Mais où a-t-elle
donc rangé son talent de chanteuse? Avec
spontanéité, innocence et humour, Annabelle Canto
et son pianiste Henri partent à la recherche de cette
voix magique. Ils découvrent en chemin des
personnages d’opéra étonnants et majestueux.

Papageno et la Flute enchantee
En provenance de leur banquise lointaine, marchant pieds de côté, trois
pingouins musiciens viennent aux festivités du Pôle Nord. Flûte! Les portes du
grand bal de Noël se referment devant eux. Pour participer à la fête, ils doivent
présenter une chanson de Noël originale. Pour Amatin, Ademain et Atemplein,
composer une chanson de Noël en quelques minutes, c’est tout un défi! Nos trois
compagnons trouveront-ils l’inspiration? Seront-ils prêts à temps pour cette soirée
inoubliable? Participez à la création et soyez de la fête! Parce que Noël, c’est
plus qu’une chanson.

La compagnie de concerts jeunesse Shoestring Opera présente une version
« transformée » de l’opéra La Flûte enchantée de Mozart, avec le concours de
deux chanteurs et comédiens, d’une violoncelliste et d’une pianiste. La jeune
Allegra se perd en revenant de l’école dans une sombre forêt où elle fait la
connaissance de Papageno, un homme qui capture des oiseaux. Il semble égaré
lui aussi. Les deux nouveaux compagnons décident de s’aider mutuellement à
retrouver le chemin de la maison. Grâce au pouvoir de la musique et à la magie
de l’irréel, Papageno et Allegra partent à l’aventure sur la voie du partage et de
la découverte de soi. La représentation de 15 h est bilingue.

Rythmo-Synchro

Une histoire percutante que celle des percussions! Tout commence en Afrique, terre
du rythme, où les instruments résonnent et les musiques se répondent. Ce concert
propose un fabuleux voyage à travers l’histoire des percussions, avec escales au
Moyen-Orient, en Europe et en Amérique. De la musique africaine à la musique
brésilienne et au hip hop d’aujourd’hui, ces instruments marquent la grande
traversée des cultures et du temps. Vous entendrez des percussions exotiques et
colorées comme le kalungu, le djembé, la derbouka, le tambourin, les cymbales et
l’apito. Un concert super rythmo avec des percussionnistes hyper synchros!
