MEASUREMENTS
Each square measures approximately
12 x 12cm/4 3/4 x 4 3/4in.
Baby Blanket of 40 squares will measure
approximately 60 x 96cm/23 1/4 x 37 3/4in.
Throw of 60 squares will measure
approximately 72 x 120cm/28 1/4 x 47 1/4in.
MATERIALS
8 (12) 50g balls of Debbie Bliss Mia in Ecru 02 (M)
and 1 (2) 50g balls in Ruby 09 (C).
Pair of 4mm (US 6) knitting needles.
TENSION
22 sts and 28 rows to 10cm/4in square over st st
using 4mm (US 6) needles.
TIPS: Intarsia is used when working larger areas of
usually isolated colour, such as this reindeer motif.
If the yarn were stranded or woven in on the wrong
side, it could show through to the front or pull in the
colourwork. Use a separate strand or small ball of yarn
for each colour area and twist colours together where
they meet to prevent a gap forming.

With 4mm (US 6) needles and M, cast on 25 sts.
K 4 rows.
Place chart
1st row (right side) K3, k across 19 sts of
1st row of chart, k3.
2nd row K3, p across 19 sts of 2nd row of chart,
k3.
These 2 rows set the position of the chart with
3 sts in garter st at each side.
Working correct chart rows, cont in st st with
garter st edges until all 25 chart rows are
complete.
K 4 rows.
Cast off.

1 paire d’aig n° 4.
CONSEILS: pour ce motif, il vaut mieux utiliser la
technique du jacquard Intarsia, c’est-à-dire avec un
peloton par zone de couleur, car il y a de grandes zones
isolées de la même couleur. Si vous faites suivre ou tisser
le fil non tricoté sur l’envers, il pourrait être visible sur
l’endroit par transparence et cela pourrait resserrer le
tricot. Utilisez donc une longueur de fil ou un peloton
différent par zone de couleur, et pensez à croiser les fils
aux changements de couleurs pour éviter qu’un trou
ne se forme entre chaque zone.

Commencer la grille
Rg 1 (sur l’endroit) 3 m end, tric les 19 m du rg
1 de la grille, 3 m end.
Rg 2 3 m end, tric les 19 m du rg 2 de la grille,
3 m end.
Ces 2 rgs placent la grille, avec 3 m en point
mousse de chaque côté des rgs.
Cont en formant l’étoile en suivant la grille, et
en gardant les bordures au point mousse de
chaque côté, jusqu’à avoir terminé les 25 rgs
de la grille.
Tric 4 rgs en m end.
