PSG have been winning games in 2016 as coach Laurent Blanc rotates his squad, though have not scaled the heights they reached in the previous calendar year. Blanc's challenge is to ensure his players are in optimal condition when the Champions League round of 16 clash with Chelsea comes around next month. The former France boss saw his side require a last gasp Zlatan Ibrahimovic penalty in midweek to beat Toulouse at the Parc des Princes and make it through to the last 16 of the Coupe de France. PSG face the same opponents in the semi-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue next week as they aim to repeat their historic domestic quadruple of last season. Europe is already uppermost in the minds of the supporters as PSG meet Chelsea for the third season running in the continent's premier club competition. Blanc too is thinking about the two-legged clash with Guus Hiddink's Blues and would like PSG's fixture pile-up to be reduced to enhance the club's prospects of once again reaching the quarter-finals. Blanc said: "We've put in the request. The match against Marseille will of course be played on a Sunday (Feb 7) and so we'd like either the midweek game in the Coupe de France or a league game to be moved." PSG are due to face Lille on February 13 in the league, three days before hosting Chelsea in the first leg of the Champions League tie. Before the Premier League club come to the French capital, Blanc hopes to have his future resolved. Negotiations are approaching a conclusion as to a contract extension and Blanc said: "We're talking and we should reach an agreement." Promoted Angers have taken brilliantly to life in the top division and that has earned coach Stéphane Moulin a second contract extension. Last week the coach signed up through to 2019, which is the club's centenary year. In midweek Angers exited the Coupe de France, beaten by remodelled Bordeaux, and that came hot on the heels of the setback of conceding two penalties in losing in the league to Nice. After the Nice game a frustrated Moulin said: "The referee blew for it so that means there was a foul. But we need to decide once and for all whether there is always a penalty when the ball touches the hand as it cannot be blow for one time in two. I've seen the pictures again. It's good for Nice but I hope that if the same thing happens next week in Paris that the whistle will go again. I'm not certain of that." When the clubs met in Week 16 Angers managed to hold PSG to a goalless draw, becoming the first - and so far only - club to manage a clean sheet against the champions in the league this season. The only club with a better defensive record than Angers is PSG, but there is no comparison when it comes to recent form. PSG have won their last 10 matches in all competitions, whereas Angers have a mere three victories from their last 11 league outings. 01/21/2016 Ligue de Football Professionnel - 2015/2016 - Ligue1.com 2 Week 22 Paris Saint-Germain - Angers SCO Paris Saint-Germain - Angers SCO - HISTORY: PSG have hosted Angers seven times in the top division, winning three, drawing three and losing just once, 1-0 in 1972 in the clubs' first meeting at the Parc des Princes. - The last time the clubs met in Paris in February 1994, PSG ran out 3-0 winners. - THIS SEASON: In Week 16 the clubs drew 0-0 as Angers became the first club all season to keep a clean sheet against the champions. - PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN: - GENERAL: Paris Saint-Germain came into Week 22 on top of the table with 57 points from 21 games.
