Thursday 22 September
12 Noon All golfers and Rory McIlroy lookalikes gather
at Malone Golf Club, often called ‘the Augusta of Ireland’,
to compete for Dai Waterson Trophy. All non-golfers
have the option of a GAYP Belfast City Sightseeing Tour.
6.30 pm Everyone welcome at Malone GC’s Clubhouse
for Drinks and Dinner. This magnificent Tudor style
building dates back to 1835.
Saturday 24th September
9.30am Departing from Radisson Blu Belfast, a full day
guided tour taking in Ballycastle and Fair Head, before
travelling along the Causeway Coast road to Ballintoy
Harbour, renowned as one of Northern Ireland film
locations for HBO ‘Game of Thrones’. After a coffee
break , we head onto the Giant’s Causeway visitor
centre, winner of the ‘Major Tourist Attraction’ in Skål’s
2014 Sustainable Tourism Awards. Learn more of the
history and heritage of this UNESCO World Heritage
site and take a hike (or hop on a bus) to the famous
Giant’s Causeway.
Friday 23 September
All daytime events take place in Radisson Blu Hotel
9.00 am Skal UK National Executive Meeting.
11.00 am Skal UK National Committee Meeting.
1.00 pm Lunch.
2.00 pm Business to Business Meeting, followed by Q&A.
4.00 pm Tea & Coffee. Wine Reception.
Opportunity to visit exhibition stands of local Food &
Drink providers who are celebrating Northern Ireland
Year of Food & Drink 2016.
7.00 pm Crumlin Road Gaol also
known as HMP Belfast, ‘The Crum’
is the only Victorian era prison
remaining in Northern Ireland
and has been out of service since
1996. Tonight’s visit includes Tour,
Drinks Reception and Buffet
Dinner.
10.30 pm Hotel Transfer. Option
to stop off at the Hudson Bar in
Belfast City Centre for drinks and
entertainment (Costs not
included).
1.30pm Lunch.
2.00pm Travel onto the oldest Whiskey distillery in the
world at Old Bushmills, where you’ll be treated to a
tour and tasting.
5.30pm Arrive back at Radisson Blu Belfast in good
time for much coiffing and beautifying (and that’s just
the men folk).
7.00pm National President’s Drinks Reception at the
Radisson Blu Hotel followed by Gala Dinner in the
Titanium Suite and a traditional Northern Ireland
Ceilidh.
