QUICK INSTALLATION GUIDE
DO NOT CONNECT THE LINK PHONE BRIDGE TO YOUR
COMPUTER UNTIL INSTRUCTED TO DO SO BY THE LINK
PHONE BRIDGE INSTALLATION WIZARD
The following instructions will guide you to through the process of
installing the Skype VoIP Gateway. The installation procedure is
to:
• Install Skype™ (step 1 below)
• Start the Link Phone Bridge SW installation
• Plug in the Link Phone Bridge WHEN INSTRUCTED TO DO SO
• Verify the installation is OK
• Connect a telephone handset to the Skype VoIP Gateway
• Connect the Link Phone Bridge to the wall jack. Note that this is
optional and only required for the forwarding features.
• Use your Link Phone Bridgeto make and receive Skype™ calls
The detailed instructions follow:
If Skype™ is not already installed on your computer, visit
http://www.skype.com and follow the instructions there to install
Skype™. Verify that Skype™ is working before installing the
Skype VoIP Gateway.
We strongly recommend you to update the latest Skype due
to the one could provide better performance and resolve
some problems than the older one.
Windows XP
Step 1:
Please insert the ADSL Router CD into your CD-ROM drive.
The CD should auto-start, displaying the following window. If it
does not start, click on Start – Run and type in CD: \autorun.exe
(where CD is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive.) Click " USB
Driver ".
Step 2:
Click " Yes ".
Step 3:
Check the " I have read and agree to the terms and conditions
as stated above " checkbox and then click " Yes ".
Step 4:
Please Plug In your Personal VoIP Adaptor and then click " OK ".
Step 5:
Connect the USB cable to the USB port.
The other end of the USB cable must be connected to a USB port
on your computer, or to an AC Powered USB hub.
The Link Phone Bridge MUST not be connected to a bus
powered USB hub.
Step 6:
Check the option " Install the software automatically
[Recommended] " and then click " Next ".
Step 7:
Please wait while the wizard installs the software…
Step 8:
The wizard has finished installing the software and then click "
Finish ".
Step 9:
Check the option " Install the software automatically
[Recommended] " and then click " Next ".
Step 10:
Click " Continue Anyway ".
Step 11:
Please wait while the wizard installs the software…
Step 12:
Check the option " Allow this program to use Skype " and then
click " OK ".
Step 13:
The wizard has finished installing the software and then click " Finish
".
Step 14:
When the installation completes you should see the following
message appear near your system tray and a new telephone icon
(circled in red below) in your system tray.
The telephone icon indicates that the Link Phone Bridge software is
installed and running and that you can start making calls via Skype™
and the Skype VoIP Gateway.
Step 15:
Connect a standard telephone handset to the Link Phone Bridge
phone jack using a telephone cable
Step 16:
Connect a telephone cable between the Link Phone Bridge line jack
and a wall jack.
Windows 2000
Step 1: Please insert the ADSL Router CD into your CD-ROM drive.

Step 6: Click " Next ".
Step 7: Check the option " Search for a suitable driver for my
device [recommended] " and then click " Next ".
Step 8: Check the option " CD-ROM drivers " and then click " Next
".
Step 9: Click " Next ".
Step 10: Click " Finish ".
Step 11: Click " Next ".
Step 12: Check the option " Search for a suitable driver for my
device [recommended] " and then click " Next ".
Step 13: Check the option " CD-ROM drivers " and then click " Next
".
Step 14: Click " Next ".
Step 15: Click " Yes".
Step 16: Check the option " Allow this program to use Skype "
and then click " OK ".
Step 17: The wizard has finished installing the software and then
click " Finish ".
Step 18: You must restart your computer before the new settings will
take effect and then click " Finish ".
Step 19: Connect a standard telephone handset to the Link Phone
Bridge phone jack using a telephone cable
Step 20: Connect a telephone cable between the Link Phone Bridge
line jack and a wall jack.

Explanation of the Rules
Press these keys to get a VoIP dial-tone. You can now
dial a SkypeOut™ call or a Skype™ speed dial call
from your telephone handset. Example: Press ## to
get a VoIP dial-tone to press ## again to turn back to
regular dial-tone.
Press this key following the phone number (or speed
dial number) when making a VoIP call.
Example: Press ## to get a VoIP dial-tone + speed dial
number for example 77 + * to make a VoIP call.
Press these keys during a call to switch between a
VoIP and regular call. For example to switch from a
regular telephone call to an incoming Skype™ call or
to switch from a Skype™ call to an incoming regular
phone call.
Press these keys during a call to conference a VoIP
and regular call.
In order to forward incoming regular calls to a VoIP
call, such as through SkypeOut™ or to a Skype
account, enter speed dial number (e.g. 77) associated
with the Skype User without the * key (as shown
above).or enter the SkypeOut™ number (e.g.
0016175551212), please refer to the manual in detail.
In order to forward incoming Skype™ calls to a
telephone number such as your mobile phone, please
refer to the manual in detail. To press ## on the phone
to end the call.
When you call into your telephone line you will hear a
beep. Enter the pin code followed by the * button and
then enter the Skype speed dial (e.g. 77) or the
SkypeOut telephone number (e.g. 00 + country code +
telephone number) followed by the * button. Please
refer to the manual in detail
Example 1 for Skype speed dial: 1234567 + BEEP +
PingNumber * 77 *
Example 2 for SkypeOut telephone number: 1234567
+ BEEP + PingNumber*00 + country code + telephone
number *
When you Skype into the Skype VoIP Gateway, you
will hear a beep. Enter the pin code followed by the *
button and then enter the telephone number you want
to dial on the PSTN line followed by the * key. Please
refer to the manual in detail
Example: Skype into the Skype VoIP Gateway +
BEEP + PingNumber * telephone number *
Repeat current message -> press 1 key
Delete current message, move to next -> press 2 key
Keep current message, move to next -> press 3 key
Delete all messages -> press 9 key

QUE LE PROGRAMME D’INSTALLATION NE VOUS LE
DEMANDE PAS.
Les instructions ci-dessous vont vous guider tout au long du
processus d’installation. En résumé, l’installation se déroule ainsi :
• Installer la dernière version de Skype.
• Commencer l’installation du Link Phone Bridge
• Connecter le Link Phone Bridge au PC quand vous y êtes convié
• Vérifier que l’installation s’est bien passée
• Connecter un téléphone sur le port PHONE du Link Phone
Bridge
• Connecter le port LINE du Link Phone Bridge à votre ligne
téléphonique. Notez que ceci est optionnel, mais nécessaire pour
les fonctions de transfert et de prise de ligne à distance.
• Utilisez votre Link Phone Bridge pour émettre et recevoir des
apppels Skype.
Pour plus de détails, suivez les instructions d’installation cidessous.
Si vous n’avez pas encore installé Skype, rendez-vous sur le site
http://www.skype.com et suivez les instructions. Vérifiez que
Skype est en fonctionnement avant d’installer votre Link Phone
Bridge.
Il est vivement recommandé de mettre à jour votre version de
Skype car la dernière version apporte de meilleures
performances et résout certains problèmes connus sur les
anciennes.
Windows XP
1: Insérez le CD d’installation dans votre lecteur CD-ROM.
L’installation doit débuter automati-quement. Si ce n’est pas le
cas, cliquez sur Démarrer – Exécuter et tapez CD:\autorun.exe
(remplacez CD par la lettre de votre lecteur CD-ROM).Cliquez sur
« USB Driver » ".
2: Cliquez sur " Yes ".
3: Acceptez les conditions and cochant la case " I have read and
agree to the terms and conditions as stated above " et cliquez
ensuite sur " Yes ".
4: Branchez le câble USB sur le Link Phone Bridge et cliquez sur
" OK ".
5: Branchez le câble USB du Link Phone Bridge sur un port USB
de l’ordinateur. Vous pouvez également branchez le Link Phone
Bridge sur un hub USB alimenté séparément.
Le Link Phone Bridge ne doit pas être connecté à un hub USB
auto-alimenté.
6: Cochez la case " Installer le logiciel automatiquement
[recommandé] " pour installer automatiquement votre Link Phone
Bridge puis cliquez sur " Suivant ".
7: Patientez quelques instants…
8: L’installation du logiciel se termine, cliquez sur " Terminer ".
9: Cochez la case " Installer le logiciel automatiquement
[recommandé] " pour installer automatiquement votre Link Phone
Bridge puis cliquez sur " Suivant ".
10: Cliquez sur " Continuer ".
11: Patientez quelques instants…
12: Cochez la case “Autoriser ce programme à utiliser Skype”
puis cliquez sur “OK”.
13: L’installation se termine, cliquez sur “Terminer”.
14: Lorsque l’installation est terminée, vous devez voir apparaître un
message vous indiquant que votre matériel est bien installé. Une
icône représentant un téléphone vert doit aussi être présente dans la
barre système (généralement en bas à droite) de Windows. Celle-ci
vous indique que vous pouvez communiquer sur Skype avec votre
Link Phone Bridge.
15: Branchez un téléphone standard sur le port PHONE du Link
Phone Bridge à l’aide d’un câble téléphonique.
16: Connectez le port LINE de votre Link Phone Bridge à la prise
téléphonique murale à l’aide d’un câble téléphonique.

8: Cochez la case " Lecteurs CD-ROM " puis cliquez sur " Suivant

9: Cliquez sur " Suivant ".
10: Cliquez sur " Terminer ".
11: Cliquez sur " Suivant ".
12: Cochez la case "Rechercher les pilotes appropriés pour mon
matériel [recommandé]" puis cliquez sur " Suivant ".
13: Cochez la case " Lecteur CD-ROM " puis cliquez sur " Suivant

17: L’installation se termine, cliquez sur “ Terminer ”.
18: Vous devez redémarrer votre ordinateur pour que vos nouveaux
paramètres soient pris en compte. Cliquez ensuite sur " Terminer ".
19: Branchez un téléphone standard sur le port PHONE du Link
Phone Bridge à l’aide d’un câble téléphonique.
20: Connectez le port LINE de votre Link Phone Bridge à la prise
téléphonique murale à l’aide d’un câble téléphonique.

Explication des règles
Presser ces touches pour entendre la tonalité de la
ligne VoIP. Vous pouvez à présent numéroter un
numéro de téléphone quelconque (sous réserve

que votre compte SkypeOut soit crédité) ou le
numéro abrégé d’un de vos contacts. Exemple:
Presser ## pour entendre la tonalité VoIP et presser
## de nouveau pour entendre la tonalité de la ligne
fixe.
Presser cette touche à la fin du numéro de
téléphone (ou numéro abrégé). Concerne la ligne
VoIP uniquement. Exemple: Presser ## pour avoir
la tonalité VoIP + le numéro abrégé, par example
77, + * pour passer un appel VoIP
Presser ces touches en cours d’appel pour basculer
entre la ligne VoIP et la ligne fixe.
Presser ces touches pour effectuer une
conversation à 3 entre vos correspondent VoIP et
ligne fixe.
Pour transférer vos appels entrant de la ligne fixe

vers la ligne VoIP Skype , il est nécessaire de
paramétrer le logiciel installé avec le Link Phone
Bridge. Pour plus de détails, référez-vous au
manuel du CD ou sur www.linkcom.net
Pour les transferts des appels entrants de la ligne
VoIP vers la ligne fixe, référez vous au manuel
d’utilisation sur le CD ou sur www.linkcom.net. Pour
stopper l’appel en cours, pressez ## sur le
téléphone.
Lorsque vous appelez sur votre ligne fixe, le Link
Phone Bridge répond et émet un bip. Entrer votre
code PIN suivi de la touche * et ensuite taper le
numéro abrégé de votre correspondent ou un
numéro de téléphone quelconque (sous réserve

d’avoir crédité votre compte SkypeOut . Valider le
numéro en appuyant sur la touche *. Référez-vous
au manuel pour plus de détails.
Exemple 1 pour un numéro abrégé 77 : 1234567 +
BEEP + PIN * 77 *

Lorsque vous appelez votre compte Skype, le Link
Phone Bridge répond et émet un bip. Entrer le code
PIN suivi de *. Taper ensuite le numéro de
telephone suivi de la touché *. Référez-vous au
manuel pour plus de détails.
Exemple: Appeler le compte Skype + BEEP + PIN *
