The Digital Unit was the digital publishing service at Ecole Normale Supérieure
Lettres et Sciences humaines of Lyon. It gave a concrete reality to the concept of
digital humanities by equipping and accompanying research teams throughout the
development of their work. The Digital Unit pursued a goal of “appropriation” of
digital technologies by research teams in humanities and social sciences.
