Transport: aux participants qui voyagent 125 km et plus pour leur emploi, JCTDLO paiera les
frais d’un voyage aller-retour de la résidence de l’étudiant au lieu de travail;
Mobilité de la main-d’oeuvre: JCTDLO offre un dédommagement partiel (1,35$/ heure
travaillée) pour les frais encourus par un participant qui doit défrayer des coûts de logis lorsque
celui-ci doit se déplacer 125 km et plus pour l’emploi.

Description de l'offre (tâches et responsabilités):
Sous supervision de la directrice artistique, la personne devra travailler dans le domaine de l'art visuel,
notamment au festival The Works Art & Design Festival.
La personne devra:
– Planifier et monter une exposition d'art (incluant l'éclairage, le son, la structure, la présentation,
etc.)
– Faire l'inventaire du matériel (pré et post production)
– Coordonner les différentes activités (notamment la sécurité des lieux)
– S'occuper du design, des nouveaux médias
– Faire des visites guidées en français et en anglais
– Toutes autres tâches connexes.

Etre motivée et désireuse de vivre une expérience d'emploi d'été en anglais dans une grande
ville canadienne. La langue de travail est l'anglais (le participant doit être capable de
communiquer efficacement) et le français est exigé.

Wage: 11.00/hour
+ Transportation: For participants who travel 125 km or more for their job, YCWBOL will pay the
costs of one round trip between the student’s residence and workplace.
+ Labour mobility: YCWBOL provides partial compensation ($1.35/hour worked) for housing costs
incurred by participants who must travel 125 km or more to the job location.

Job description:
Production and Technology Assistant
Reporting directly to the Executive Artistic Director and to the Production and Technology Supervisor,
this employee will coordinate the technical requirements of the festival, including:
-Assist in the install, construction, and dismantle of exhibits and outdoor festival site community
programs ensuring all technical requirements are met as set by the artist(s)
-Assist in pre and post production inventory
-Assist volunteers in receiving adequate training and follow safe work procedures
-Assist the Production and Technology Coordinators in ensuring all equipment requirements for special
events and exhibit openings are met
-Assist in the preparation of all artwork for exhibits
-assist in the construction of display equipment with the Production and Technology Coordinator and
Supervisor
-Assist with the daily operation of exhibits and programs during festival
The Successful Candidate will have Post Secondary Education in one of the following areas: Fine arts,
Design/Industrial Design, New Media Studies, Theatre Production, Cultural Management, Film, and
Television studies.
Basic Technical skills will be a definite asset
Leadership experience
Strong computer technological skills recommended (Win 98, LAN environment)
Fluent English, able to communicate effectively
Able to meet deadlines
Commitment to the project
Outgoing, able to learn quickly, attention to detail
