Bienvenue sur le Circuit Paul Armagnac de Nogaro.
Ce circuit, conçu comme une arène, devrait nous offrir du spectacle à ne plus savoir où
donner de la tête… Pour cette épreuve, toute la caravane V de V sera présente !
Les Funyo, comme à chaque meeting, mettront le feu aux poudres en premier ; avec
certainement de grandes bagarres pour la victoire, et une ambiance toujours survoltée
grâce à notre Speaker : Joël Laplacette.
Même facture pour les Monoplaces, avec une bataille à quatre pour le titre final, plus
la présence dans les dix premiers de jolis talents qui s’exprimeront sous vos yeux !
Les plateaux Endurance sont, encore une fois, au nombre de trois et les courses de 2
Heures, seul ou en équipage, animeront encore une bagarre féroce en VHC. Si la piste
est sèche, les Proto devraient prendre le meilleur sur les GT… Si elle est mouillée ce
sera une autre affaire.
Le Proto se porte bien, avec un niveau de performance et de compétition sans cesse
relevé. Cette saison encore le Championnat se joue dans un match en triangle, entre
plusieurs équipages, et plusieurs écuries. Peut-être verrons-nous également l’arrivée de
la Tatuus PY012 de l’usine Italienne prête à concurrencer Norma et Ligier sur 3
heures… ?
Le GT / Tourisme enfin, avec qui nous avons tous pris un pied d’enfer il y a trois
semaines au Castellet avec plus de quarante voitures sur la grille de départ et une
course disputée jusqu’au bout à toutes les strates de la compétition. Nous avons encore
en mémoire la victoire de la Porsche Imsa sur la Ferrari Visiom dans les dernières
minutes de course la saison dernière et cette saison le duel sera encore au Rendezvous...

Les 2 heures V de V de Nogaro
« Ancienne vie »
Les anciennes viennent depuis des lustres s’illustrer sur le petit circuit resserré et
rapide de Paul Armagnac. Un bonheur alors de les voir encore venir ce week-end avec
en prime, une bagarre engagée pour le podium des deux catégories. Le GT et les Sport
Prototypes. C’est Bernard Moreau et Miguel Langin avec leur Porsche n°1 triple
Championne en titre, qui sont dans le confortable fauteuil de leader avec près de 40
points d’avance sur Serge Kriknoff. Le tenant du titre des 2 heures de course de Nogaro
a de sérieux arguments pour s’imposer ici.
Mais c’est bien les Proto qui devraient avoir l’avantage. On se rappelle de la belle Alpine
M63B de Gérard Besson l’an dernier, très gracieuse sur l’asphalte du Gers, mais surtout des
Elva Mk8 qui avaient signé un doublé ici lors des 4 heures… Mais voilà ! La course est réduite
à deux heures cette année, cela va-t-il suffire ?
C’est possible, car les Proto sont plus à leurs aises dans les virages rapides de Paul
Armagnac, que dans les grandes lignes droites de Paul Ricard, contrairement au grosses
Porsche qui se la jouent en Groupe 3 et 4.
Le Groupe 4 devrait surtout opposer trois voitures, celle des Champions en titre, Moreau et
Langin, celle de Kriknoff n°66, gagnante des « 2 heures de course dans la course » la saison
dernière. Alain Pages sera là avec sa 930, mais il s’attachera surtout à passer le damier.
Contrairement à Achard n°911, actuel troisième du Challenge, et Brigand n°91, classé
deuxième à la dernière sortie.
Evidemment nous attendons les locaux, Rueda et Lusseaud au volant de la n°33 actuels
cinquièmes et qui auront certainement à cœur de bien figurer chez eux !
Ils s’engageront en Groupe 3 avec en face d’eux, à vaincre, Jean-Claude Barthe sur la
Porsche n°10 du LD Racing.
Revenons aux Sport Prototypes, dont on avait prédit l’hégémonie des Elva Mk8. Mais rien
n’est moins sûr, car Franck Metzger n°8, et Elie Dubelly seront favoris avec leur Cesca Grac.
Vainqueurs au Scratch sur le circuit Bugatti du Mans ils pourraient récidiver ici, si le moteur
est réparé à temps, et s’il ne repart pas en fumée comme au Castellet. Mais nous pouvons
compter, pour nos beaux yeux, nos belles oreilles, sur le très bon travail de l’écurie Blue Fox
Racing.
Les Elva n°3 de Yann Le Calvez, et n°4 de Guanzini et Alloend-Bessand seront donc
favorites ? A la vue des performances de l’an passé, peut-être, à moins que la Ford GT40
n°37 de Vincenot et Bachelier ne vienne souffler tout le monde. Deux heures, c’est ce
qu’elle avait tenu en 2011, espérons qu’elle fasse aussi bien…

Boulevard qui s’ouvre devant eux...

« Spectacle assuré »
La première partie de saison était accrochée et la seconde commence de manière
splendide avec un spectacle de tous les instants sur le circuit du Paul Ricard il y a trois
semaines.
Leader, avec près de 10 points d’avance, l’équipage Pagny-Perrier-Bouvet de la Ferrari
458 GT2 n°2 du team Visiom voit Patrice Milesi se rapprocher dangereusement dans ses
rétroviseurs. La bataille fera encore rage entre ces deux équipes. Mais ils ne seront pas
seuls. Les autres catégories sont également très disputées !
A commencer par le GTV3 où la Porsche n°56, de Stepec-Prignaud, Championne en titre, a
repris le commandement avec sept points d’avance sur la n°67 de Jean-Louis et Jérémy
Alloin, n°67, qui rêveront meilleur départ que l’an dernier où ils étaient partis à la faute
trop tôt, tout comme beaucoup d’autres. Perrodo-Crubile, n°25, sont en troisième position à
huit points des leaders. La n°58 de Giauque, Armengol et Blugeon aurait pu signer sa
première victoire cette saison après une course maîtrisée jusqu’à un abandon lors du dernier
relais de la voiture au Castellet ; alors que Frédéric Ancel sur la n°007 signait son premier
podium de la saison au Paul Ricard, après avoir fini toutes ses courses dans les points, il est
quatrième et peut encore rêver à un podium en fin de saison, grâce à l’aide de son
coéquipier Gilles Blasco cinquième, sur la même voiture.

Colançon et Arrobio, chez Nourry Compétition, font une entrée en trombe dans ce
Classement depuis deux courses puisqu’ils comptent vingt-cinq points avec leur Porsche
n°73. Ce n’est pas trop tard pour rêver au podium également, car Magny-Cours et Estoril
sont des courses à fort coefficient.
Les organismes seront mis à rude épreuve ce week-end en cas de fortes chaleurs. Il faudra
tenir le coup. Nogaro ne laisse pas beaucoup de répit au pilote, et c’est là le plus
compliqué...
En GTV2, la Porsche n°65 de Martinet et Tremblay n’est plus si solidement accrochée à sa
position de leader. Effectivement ils ne comptent plus qu’un point d’avance sur Alain et
Jean-François Demorge n°36, deuxièmes ; et si Polette et Lelièvre continuent de s’imposer
avec autant de brio, comme au Paul Ricard, ils pourraient s’emparer très prochainement du
fauteuil de leader.
En GTV4, l’équipage Kanaroglou-Campos rafle presque tout, au volant de sa Ginetta n°12
depuis le début de saison et compte déjà trente-trois points d’avance sur Eric Vincenot et sa
Ferrari F430 Challenge n°64. Arezina et Burel, qui avaient débuté la saison avec la casquette
de favoris doivent reprendre du poil de la bête et s’imposer rapidement s’ils veulent
conserver leur titre. Ils sont troisièmes à trois points de Vincenot, mais poursuivis de près
par l’efficace Ginetta G50 n°9 de Martinez et Montserrat, victorieuse à Motorland.
En Silhouette S1, c’est Charriol et Carugati au volant de leur SF V8 Yacouba n°96, avec un
gentil point d’avance sur Chaix et Pourquie n°94. La GC-Automobile n°21 de Calmon et
Barenghi, a trouvé son rythme et arrive en forme après un début de saison en recherche de
fiabilité.

Les 3 heures V de V de Nogaro
« Encore un Rendez-Vous »
Chaque course est une vraie guerre entre les quatre voitures encore en lice pour le
titre. La voiture n°1, triple championne en titre, a encore une vingtaine de points
d’avance sur la n°26 de Dhouailly et Accary qui n’ont plus le droit à l’erreur, et qui
doivent continuer à réaliser des courses comme celle du Castellet, s’ils veulent
prétendre s’emparer de la couronne. Bruno Bazaud n°96 qui court après cette dernière
depuis l’an dernier peut compter sur un équipier modèle en la personne de Philippe
Thirion. Jean-Lou Rihon et Nick Padmore, sur la n°34, sont plus loin, mais après un
podium mérité lors de la dernière épreuve, ils pourraient rêver d’une fin de saison en
trombe…
Le Scratch est accroché donc, mais la bataille pour le podium dans les catégories encore
plus. Pour l’instant les positions sont les mêmes, mais les écarts moins importants. Ainsi,
alors que Rihon et Padmore n°34 ont près de quinze points de retard sur les deuxièmes au
Scratch, ils n’en comptent plus que neuf sur les deuxièmes en Elite. Tout est encore
possible.
Fargier et Vaglio-Giors, n°2, ont fait une très belle course au Paul Ricard et pourraient
récidiver, sachant que Fargier a gagné ici l’an passé.
Dans un classement largement dominé par les Norma M20 FC, la Ligier n°11 de Damien
Delafosse et Lionel Robert, fait figure d’outsider, et pourrait récidiver après leur belle
victoire Dijonnaise.
Mais c’est bien TFT, l’écurie résidente à Paul Armagnac qui part favorite. Le circuit est
connu par les pilotes, par les techniciens, les ingénieurs, et les réglages seront certainement
affûtés. Espérons pour eux qu’ils ne connaîtront pas les mêmes soucis électriques que l’an
dernier après les qualifications sous la pluie. La 96 de Bazaud vise forcément la victoire,
tout comme la n°34.
Les Open, seront également attachées à finir dans les points, avec un classement dominé par
Philippe Papin, n°20, qui compte cinq victoires en cinq courses, et son coéquipier, absent en
Aragon, Jean-René De Fournoux, deuxième avec quinze points de moins. Stéphane Adler et
David Abramczyk sur la n°75 du SKR, sont en frêle possession de la troisième place avec
seulement un point de retard sur la n°4 de Palmyr, pilotée par Rosati et Croullet.
Enfin dans les équipages qui pourraient briller sans jouer le Challenge, nous espérons
retrouver la n°25 du CD Sport pilotée par Bole-Besançon et Lecuyer. Un podium ne serait pas
malvenu pour cet équipage un peu malchanceux cette saison. Même idée pour Jean-Claude

« Plein la vue ? »
A deux week-ends de la fin de saison, le Challenge semble devoir se jouer entre deux
hommes, à moins qu’un troisième se réveille et viennent les déranger… Qui sait ?
Les deux boxeurs sont pour l’instant Nicolas Cannard, Vice-Champion en titre du Challenge,
encore jamais couronné, et Éric Grare un motard très combatif sur la piste, mais non moins
cordial. Car en Funyo, la bonne humeur et la franche camaraderie sont les principales
qualités des protagonistes.
Nicolas Cannard n°2 donc, peine à creuser l’écart sur Eric Grare n°28, qui compte seulement
quatre points de retard. Il leur reste six courses très chaudes à se bagarrer. Mais s’ils partent
à la faute ensemble, François Hériau, n°37, Champion en 2010, pourrait bien en profiter. Il
n’a certes pas encore gagné de course cette saison, mais il a su se rendre assez constant
pour voir venir ses poursuivants, mais surtout pour faire un sprint final qui pourrait s’avérer
fatal pour les deux leaders. Il n’a que 30 points de retard sur eux. Une victoire en valant
quarante…
Mais l’intérêt du Funyo est ailleurs. Ces petites voitures construites par Yves Orhant n°35,
très modestement, sont avant tout un instrument très rigolo. Les participants s’en donnent à
cœur joie pour un spectacle époustouflant pendant trois courses de vingt minutes chaque
week-end.

Aujourd’hui Dominique Brulon est le leader incontesté ou presque du Challenge F4. Gérald
Poussin est à 53 points de ce leader et pourrait revenir sur lui. Il faudra également se méfier
d’Eric Tessier.

« Un combat de tous les instants »
Blanchot n°30 n’a que 22 points d’avance sur Borga n°12, et ce dernier ne lui a repris
que 2 points au Castellet après deux duels magnifiques.
Hugo Blanchot peut être content, pour l’instant il réalise une saison exemplaire. Il résiste
aux assauts répétés de son principal adversaire, Antonin Borga. Les deux hommes sont assez
proches en performances pures comme en conduite, et en agressivité sur la piste. Pour
l’instant donc, Blanchot n’a pas perdu trop de points, contrairement à son adversaire qui en
a perdu beaucoup trop, 22 pour être exact. Mais trois victoires pourraient ramener les
pendules à l’heure…
Tout est possible dans les dernières semaines de cette fin de Challenge. Idem pour la
troisième place qui se joue entre trois protagonistes.
Julien Goupy n°33, dont c’est la première saison en Formule Renault apprend, circuit après
circuit, à se servir de sa monoplace du mieux du monde, puisqu’il vient de reprendre la
troisième place du Challenge à Alexandre Mantovani n°31, qui perd pied et qui, s’il continue
comme ça, pourrait même céder sa quatrième place au très talentueux et rapide
Gentleman : Didier Colombat n°26 pilote chez Palmyr.
Jean-Michel Ogier, Palmyr également, sixième avec vingt-cinq points d’avance sur Piroird,
devrait pouvoir conserver sa position jusqu’à la fin de saison, contrairement à ce dernier qui

Welcome to the Circuit Paul Armagnac at Nogaro.
This track – originally designed as a bullring – should provide us with a head-spinning
spectacle… Every member of the V de V circus will be here for this one!
As at every meeting, the Funyos will provide the first fireworks; as well as the usual
high-voltage commentary from Joël Laplacette.
The single-seaters will put on a similar display, with a four-way battle for the title,
spiced up by a top-ten packed with hot young talent keen to put on a show!
There will once again be three Endurance grids in 2-hour races, solo or in teams,
fighting tooth and nail in VHC. If the track remains dry, the Protos should get the
better of the GTs… If the race is wet, it will be a different story.
The Proto series is proving a success, with a consistently high level of performance and
competition. This season again, the Championship involves a three-cornered fight,
between several crews and teams. Maybe we will now see the Italian factory-entered
Tatuus PY012 competing with Norma and Ligier over 3 hours…?
Finally, the GT / Touring event, which gave us all such a thrill three weeks ago at Le
Castellet with over forty cars on the starting grid and a race fought to the wire in
every class. The Imsa Porsche’s victory over the Visiom Ferrari in the final minutes of
last season’s race is still fresh in the memory and this season the duel resumes...

“Back in the day”
Classic cars have been coming for ages to this tight, fast Paul Armagnac circuit in
search of glory. How delightful to see them back once again this weekend, with a
fiercely-contested scrap for the podium a bonus in both GT and Sport Prototype
classes. Three-time and current champions, Bernard Moreau and Miguel Langin in
Porsche n°1 occupy the leaders’ chair with a comfortable cushion of nearly 40 points
over Serge Kriknoff. The 2-hour Nogaro race title-holders will have their work cut out
to win here.
But the Protos ought to hold the advantage. If we think back to last year, the awesome
Alpine M63B of Gérard Besson was so graceful around the Gers tarmac, as were the Elva
Mk8s that took a 1-2 in the 4-hour race… But here’s the thing! With the race now limited to
2 hours, will it be enough?
It might be, as the Protos are better-suited to the quick Paul Armagnac corners than the long
straights of Paul Ricard, unlike the big Porsches fighting it out in Group 3 and 4.
Group 4 should be about three cars in particular: that of reigning champions Moreau and
Langin, Kriknoff’s n°66, winner of last year’s 2-hour race-within-a-race, and Alain Pages will
be thereabouts in his 930, though his priority will be getting to the finish. Achard n°911,
currently third in the Challenge and Brigand n°91, second last time out, will both be hoping
for more.
The locals will be here of course, with Rueda and Lusseaud behind the wheel of n°33 currently lying fifth and hoping for a strong showing on home ground!
They will be competing in Group 3 up against Jean-Claude Barthe in the LD Racing Porsche
n°10.
Back to the Sport Prototypes, where we predicted domination by the Elva Mk8. But nothing
is cast in stone, as Franck Metzger and Elie Dubelly will start as favourites in their Cesca
Grac n°8. Overall winners around the circuit Bugatti at Le Mans, they could strike again here
if their engine can be repaired in time and it doesn’t go up in smoke again as it did in Le
Castellet. But luckily for our eyes and ears, we can put our faith in the good work of Blue
Fox Racing.
So, will Elvas n°3 and n°4 driven by Yann Le Calvez and Guanzini and Alloend-Bessand
respectively be well fancied? Possibly, given their performances last year, unless Vincenot
and Bachelier’s Ford GT40 n°37 blows everyone else away. It lasted two hours in 2011; let’s
hope it can manage the same this year…
And what about the weather?

“Action guaranteed”
The first part of the season was tight and the second half got underway in superb
fashion with an action-packed show at the circuit Paul Ricard three weeks ago.
The leading Pagny-Perrier-Bouvet crew of Ferrari 458 GT2 n°2 from Visiom, with a 10point advantage, can see Patrice Milesi dangerously close in its mirrors. The fight is far
from over between these two. But they won’t be the only ones; the other classes will
also be hotly contested!
Beginning with GTV3, where Porsche n°56, driven by reigning champions Stepec-Prignaud,
has wrested back control with a seven-point lead over n°67 of Jean-Louis and Jérémy Alloin,
who will be dreaming of a better getaway than last year where they – among many others –
false-started. Perrodo and Crubile, driving n°25, are in third position, eight points behind
the leaders. Giauque, Armengol and Blugeon’s n°58 could have notched up their first win
this season after controlling the race until retirement in the final stint at Le Castellet;
meanwhile Frédéric Ancel in n°007 scored his first podium of the season at Paul Ricard.
After finishing all his races in the points, he’s in fourth and can reasonably hope for another
podium before the end of the season, thanks to the help of fifth-placed team-mate Gilles
Blasco in the same car.
Colançon and Arrobio, with Nourry Compétition, have made a spectacular entry to the
standings in the last two races, scoring twenty-five points with their Porsche n°73. It’s not
too late for them to dream of the podium either, since both Magny-Cours and Estoril are high
coefficient races.

Bodies will be severely tested if it’s hot this weekend. You have to be up to the job; Nogaro
doesn’t give drivers much respite, and that’s the hardest part to manage...
In GTV2, Martinet and Tremblay’s Porsche n°65 has had its grip on the lead loosened. In fact
they have just a single point advantage over Alain and Jean-François Demorge n°36, in
second; and if Polette and Lelièvre continue their ebullient winning streak, as at Paul
Ricard, they could very soon be occupying the leaders’ chair.
In GTV4, the Kanaroglou-Campos duo at the wheel of the n°12 Ginetta has blown away
almost everyone since the start of the season and has already opened up a 33-point lead
over Eric Vincenot and his Ferrari F430 Challenge n°64. Arezina and Burel, who began the
season with the favourites’ tag, will have to get back to winning ways quickly if they are to
retain their title. They are currently third, three points behind Vincenot, but closely
followed by the fast and reliable Ginetta G50 n°9 of Martinez and Montserrat, which won at
Motorland.
In Silhouette S1, it is Charriol and Carugati at the wheel of their SF V8 Yacouba n°96 who
lead, with just one little point between them and Chaix and Pourquie in car n°94. GCAutomobile n°21 driven by Calmon and Barenghi has found some pace and form after a start
to the season where reliability was in short supply.

“We meet again”
Every race is now a war for the four cars still in with a shout for the title. Car n°1,
three-time (and reigning) champion, still has a lead of around 20 points over car n°26
of Dhouailly and Accary, who can’t afford a single mistake, and must continue to
produce races like they did at Le Castellet, if they are to be worthy of seizing the

crown. Bruno Bazaud n°96, who has sought this prize since last season, can rely on a
model team-mate in the shape of Philippe Thirion. Jean-Lou Rihon and Nick Padmore, in
n°34, are further back, but after a well-deserved podium in the first event, they will
be hoping for a scorching end to their season…
So, it’s tight at the top of the overall standings, but the battle for the podium in the
individual classes is even more so. For the moment, the positions are the same, but the gaps
even narrower. Thus, while Rihon and Padmore n°34 are nearly fifteen points behind the
second crew overall, they are just nine points behind in the Elite class. It’s still all to play
for.
Fargier and Vaglio-Giors, n°2, had a very good race at Paul Ricard and could produce the
same again, especially as Fargier won here last year.
In a class mainly dominated by Norma M20 FCs, the n°11 Ligier of Damien Delafosse and
Lionel Robert looks like an outside bet that could come good again, as it did in the classy
win at Dijon.
But the pre-race favourite is the Paul-Armagnac-based TFT. The drivers, technicians and
engineers all know the track and the set-up of the car will be fine-tuned. Let’s hope they
don’t suffer the same electrical gremlins as last year, following a rain-soaked qualifying
session. Car 96 driven by Bazaud will naturally be aiming for victory, as will n°34.
The Open drivers will also be attempting to finish in the points, with the standings
dominated by Philippe Papin, n°20, who has claimed five wins in five races, and his teammate - who missed the Aragon meeting - Jean-René De Fournoux, lying second, fifteen
points behind. Stéphane Adler and David Abramczyk in n°75 for SKR, have a tentative grasp
on third place with n°4 from Palmyr, driven by Rosati and Croullet, just one point behind.
Finally, among the crews that could shine, without mounting a bid for the Challenge, we are
hoping to see n°25 from CD Sport driven by Bole-Besançon and Lecuyer again. A podium
wouldn’t be unmerited for this crew that has been a little unlucky this season. Jean-Claude
Poirier and Marc-Antoine Dannielou will have the same idea at the wheel of n°19 from
Extrême Limite, in a crew featuring one Gentleman and one young hot-shot.

“Dazzling?”
Two weekends from the end of the season, the Challenge seems set to be contested by
two men, unless a third wakes up and crashes their party… Who can say?
The two currently facing each other in the ring are Nicolas Cannard, reigning Challenge
runner-up, but never (so far) champion, and Eric Grare, a motorcyclist with as combative a
style on the track as he is friendly off it. In Funyo, good humour and unhesitating
camaraderie are two of the competitors’ main qualities.
So, Nicolas Cannard n°2, is finding it tough to shake off Eric Grare n°28, who is a mere 4
points behind. Six keenly-contested races remain to be fought over. But if the two favourites
both go off, 2010 Champion François Hériau, n°37, could be there to take advantage. He
may not have won yet this season, but he has been consistent enough to see off his pursuers,
and possibly to enable him to pull off a final sprint good enough to thwart the two leaders.
There are 40 points for a win and he is just 30 behind…
But the real point of the Funyos lies elsewhere. These unpretentious little machines, built by
Yves Orhant n°35, are above all a device for having fun. The competitors have a whale of a
time and provide a breathtaking show for three 20-minute races each weekend.
Dominique Brulon is the current (almost) undisputed leader in the F4 Challenge. Gérald
Poussin is 53 points behind and could catch him. It’s also worth keeping an eye on Eric
Tessier.

“Relentless battle”
Blanchot n°30 leads by just 22 points from Borga n°12, who could only take 2 points
off him at Le Castellet, following two fantastic duels.
Hugo Blanchot can be happy, having so far produced an exemplary season. He has resisted
the repeated assaults of principal rival, Antonin Borga. In terms of pure performance, driving
and on-track aggression the two men are equally-matched. So far, Blanchot hasn’t dropped a
lot of points, unlike his opponent, who has thrown away too many - 22 to be exact. But
three wins could redress the balance…
Anything is possible in the final weeks of this Challenge. The same applies to third place,
which will be contested by three drivers.
Julien Goupy n°33 in what is his first season in Formula Renault is learning circuit-by-circuit
how to drive his world-class single-seater, and now he has taken third place in the Challenge
from Alexandre Mantovani n°31. Mantovani has lost ground and if he continues in the same
vein, could lose fourth to the highly-talented and fast Gentleman, Didier Colombat n°26,
driving for Palmyr.
Jean-Michel Ogier, also from Palmyr and currently sixth, 25 points ahead of Piroird, should
be able to defend his position until the end of the season, unlike the latter, who has seen
Faggionato – Ogier’s team-mate - and Colombat, profit from his mistakes to catch up to
within two points. A decidedly interesting championship!
