Master Police Officer/School Resource Officer Robert L. Conard Introduction Officer Robert L. Conard is currently assigned to the Juvenile Unit, Lee’s Summit Police Department. He is an twelve -year veteran of the department and has served in the patrol, traffic and juvenile divisions. Since joining the Juvenile Investigation Unit, he has been assigned to Lee’s Summit West High School and Summit Ridge Academy as the School Resource Officer. While assigned to this position, duties have included law related education, law related counseling, general investigations and law enforcement tasks, including drug recognition expert certification. Officer Conard is an active member of the community Partnership to Prevent Underage Drinking, Lee’s Summit CARES and the metro area Safe Schools Task Force. He had attended Teen Council meetings, Youth Safety Board, a committee of LS CARES, and founded and facilitated the Student Safety Council while at Lee’s Summit West High School. Officer Conard also coaches boys and girls soccer for Lee’s Summit West High School. In January of 2002, Officer Conard was chosen to join the Lee’s Summit Police Department Honor Guard. The duties of this assignment include public appearances, department functions and law enforcement memorial services. Officer Conard was awarded the National Practitioner status from the National Association of School Resource Officers in August of 2007. Officer Conard is a graduate of Central Missouri State University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement and Photography. He has a good working base of knowledge of computers and operating systems. He also possesses an in-depth knowledge of the theory and principles of photography. Officer Conard also coaches boys and girls soccer for Lee’s Summit West High School.
