La Société Anonyme Les Usines de Callenelle, connue sous
le nom de SALUC, est leader mondial dans la fabrication
de boules de billard en résine phénolique commercialisées
sous la marque Aramith®, une référence au sein de tous
les championnats internationaux. Forte de son savoirfaire et de la maîtrise de la sphère et de ses secrets de
fabrication, SALUC pourrait se contenter de sa position
dominante sur le marché mondial. Toutefois, ses dirigeants
ne cessent d’explorer de nouveaux créneaux pour faire face
à la concurrence qui tente en vain de jouer sur le même
terrain. Sa persévérance à se lancer dans la création de
nouveaux produits à destination du grand public comme
des professionnels lui vaut aujourd’hui de figurer dans le top
trois des fabricants de billes industrielles. Si l’entreprise a
également étendu sa gamme de produits à des accessoires
de jeu, un élément central manquait néanmoins à son
catalogue : la nouvelle Fusiontable qui vient combler les
attentes du marché. Il s’agit d’une table de salle à manger
haut de gamme, d’allure épurée, qui se transforme en une
minute chrono en une véritable surface de jeu. Si le design
de ce mobilier, déclinable en plusieurs modèles, a été
développé en interne par le bureau technique d’ingénieurs,
SALUC offre également l’opportunité au designer de bijoux
Hubert Verstraeten de contribuer à l’évolution de sa gamme
de petites billes vers un concept novateur. Séduit par les
qualités intrinsèques et la brillance durable de la résine, le
designer belge a mis au point une ligne innovante de bijoux
et d’accessoires, qu’il décline à force de couper, tailler,
forer, percer, fraiser… de petites sphères de SALUC. Ainsi,
le créateur signe depuis peu la collection insolite Aramith
to Wear, composée de boutons de manchette, de colliers,
de boucles d’oreille, de bagues, de montres ou encore de
modèles sertis de pierres précieuses. Son originalité est
telle que SALUC y voit un grand potentiel commercial et une
diffusion exclusive auprès des aficionados du billard.
The Anonymous Company Les Usines de Callenelle (The
Factories of Callenelle), known under the name of SALUC,
is the world leading manufacturer of billiard balls made from
phenolic resin and marketed under the brand name Aramith®,
a reference within all the international championships.
Drawing from their know-how, their mastery of the sphere
and their manufacturing secrets, SALUC could be content
with its dominant position on the world markets. However,
their managers are constantly exploring new possible niches
to face up to the competition who are trying in vain to play on
the same level playing field. Their perseverance in embarking
on the creation of new products aimed at the general public
and professionals have today earned them the right to figure
among the top three manufacturers of industrial marbles.
The company has also extended its range of products
to accessories for games, a central element which was
nevertheless lacking in its catalogue : the new Fusiontable
that has answered the expectations of the market. It’s an
upmarket dining table, with a refined look, which transforms
in one minute flat into a real playing surface. If the design
of this piece of furniture, available in a variety of models,
was developed internally by technical engineers, SALUC
also offers an opportunity for the jewellery designer Hubert
Verstraeten to contribute to the evolution of their innovative
concept and their range of small billiard balls. Seduced by the
intrinsic qualities and the long lasting brilliance of the resin,
the Belgian designer finalised an innovative line of jewellery
accessories that he interpreted in different models cut, shaped,
drilled, pierced, milled… using small spheres belonging to
SALUC. Recently the Belgian creator signed his first unusual
collection Aramith to Wear, composed of cufflinks, necklaces,
earrings, rings, watches and other models inserted with
precious stones. His originality is such that SALUC sees a
great commercial potential and an exclusive distribution to
the billiard aficionados.
