This LED retrofit product is UL Classified for use with New Westminster Series, manufactured by Lumec only. DO NOT install into any other manufacturer’s luminaire. To maintain existing Luminaires’ UL listing, the LED retrofit kit must be UL Classified for use with the manufacturer and model of existing luminaire. Consult CREE Customer support to see if other luminaires are classified to be used with this LED Retrofit kit. Do not make or alter any holes in a wiring enclosure or electrical components during the kit installation. Ensure that the existing luminaire is installed according to original manufacturer’s specification. S'assurer que les luminaires sont installés selon les spécifications du fabricant. 10. Only the holes indicated in the photographs or drawings may be made or altered as a result of the kit installation. Do not leave any other holes open in a wiring enclosure or electrical component. Once the Retrofit kit is installed, the luminaire can no longer accept HID lamps and shall not be converted back to an HID luminaire. (1) Nut LED Module Assembly Mounting Bracket Assembly CI370X06R0 RETROFIT FIXTURE INSTALLATION NOTE: Consult your local authority regarding disposal or recycling of removed ballast, capacitor and lamp. FIGURE 4 1. Disconnect power to fixture. 2. Verify the existing luminaire model. See Figure 1. FIGURE 1 7. Remove the existing socket by removing the screws on the inside of the ballast enclosure and dispose of properly. See Figure 5. FIGURE 5 3. Rotate the plastic globe and separate the globe from the housing by carefully lifting it straight up over the lamp and glass refractor. See Figure 2. FIGURE 2 8. 4. Loosen the screws in the key-hole slots that secure the ballast enclosure and the glass refractor to the housing and lift it up to separate it from the ballast assembly. See Figure 3. Remove the ballast assembly by loosening the screws in the key-hole slots that secure the ballast enclosure to the housing and lift it up to separate it from the housing and dispose of properly. See Figure 6. FIGURE 6 FIGURE 3 9. 5. 6. Remove the lamp and dispose of properly. Separate the glass refractor from the ballast enclosure by removing the 3 screws and set aside. See Figure 4. Page 2 of 5 Insert the LED Driver Assembly by lowering it in to the housing and rotate until the existing screws fit into the notches on the LED Driver Assembly Plate. Retighten the screws. See FIGURE 7. CI370X06R0 FIGURE 7 FIGURE 10 10. The Mounting Bracket Assembly must be mounted to the existing refractor. See Figure 8. 14. To secure the refractor to the LED Assembly, stand the LED assembly with the wires pointing up and lower the refractor over the post. Line up the holes in the mounting feet with the screw holes in each corner of the triangular extrusion and secure with the provided screws. See Figure 11. FIGURE 8 FIGURE 11 11. Begin by turning the refractor upside down and hold the flat ring on the inside of the refractor. Then place the ring with mounting feet on the outside of the glass and hold them in place sandwiching the glass between the rings. See Figure 9. FIGURE 9 15. Secure the supplied rotation stop and nylon washer to the nipple on the bottom of the LED Assembly post as shown in Figure 12. FIGURE 12 12. Line up the screw holes on the two rings and secure with the supplied screws. 13. Carefully remove the red plastic protective wrap form the LEDs by peeling it back by the label and avoid touching the LEDs. See Figure 10. Page 3 of 5 CI370X06R0 16. To prepare the LED Driver Assembly enclosure, line up the provided aluminum plate with the appropriate mounting holes. See Figure 12. FIGURE 15 FIGURE 12 17. Secure to the top of the housing with the provided screws. See Figure 13. FIGURE 13 20. See the Electrical Connections sections to wire the luminaire. 21. Connect the wire harness from the LED Module Assembly and the LED Driver Assembly. 22. Once electrical connections are made, lower the existing driver enclosure over the installed LED Driver Assembly. Using the key-hole slots secure the assembly and tighten the existing screws. See Figure 16. FIGURE 16 18. Place the LED Driver Assembly over the nipple of the LED Module Assembly as shown in Figure 14. FIGURE 14 23. Attach the provided rubber ring over the edge of the glass refractor. 24. Carefully replace the globe over the Retrofit Assembly and re-tighten the bolts that were loosened in Step 3. 25. Reconnect power to the fixture. 19. Secure using the supplied flat washer, beveled washer and nut as shown in Figure 15. Page 4 of 5 CI370X06R0 ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS FIELD ADJUSTABLE DIMMING NOTE: Ground connection should include previous luminaire ground as well as ground from retrofit panel. Verify that the supply voltage is within the fixture’s voltage rating. NOTE: This luminaire is provided with field adjustable dimming. Luminaires leave the factory adjusted to the maximum setting which is Position 9 as shown in Figure 10. 1. For 120-277V applications make the following Electrical Connections to the terminal block located on the side of the Retrofit LED Driver Assembly: a. Connect the black lead to the voltage supply lead b. Connect the white lead to the neutral supply lead c. Connect the green or green/yellow ground lead to the supply ground lead 2. If Dimming is an option, make the following additional connections using Class 1 wire: a. Connect the violet dimming positive lead to the supply dimming positive lead. b.
