Betsy Spencer has been a Litigation Law Clerk at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP since
1986 and is a member of the Commercial Litigation Group. With her diverse
experience, Betsy has worked on insurance tort law cases, health law cases,
construction cases, broker negligence cases and employment cases.

Betsy assists lawyers in the Commercial Litigation Group with preparing files for
examinations for discovery, including Affidavits of Documents and Tables of
Concordance, including large e-discovery organization of documents, drafting lists of
undertakings, advisements and refusals and liaising with discovery witnesses and
opposing counsel to answer undertakings, reviewing and organizing answers, preparing
files for mediation, pre-trial and trial including preparation, review and organization of
documents and scheduling of witnesses, preparing materials for motions, including
affidavits and Costs Outline, preparing materials for appeal hearings including Appeal
Books and Compendia, commencing subrogated claims actions in Small Claims Court,
and liaising with clients, counsel and courts.
