Dear Ski Friends,
The 50th International Ski Congress will take place in Cancun (MEX) at the Hotel Fiesta
Americana Grand Coral Beach Resort & Spa from 5th June to 11th June 2016.
We have pleasure in sending you some information about the hotel, travel arrangements
and the Congress programme, etc. as well as details for registration.

Congress participants will be accommodated in the Hotel Fiesta Americana Grand Coral

months before the Congress and distributed to all National Ski Associations and the
Committee Chairmen concerned.

Registration
Registration for the FIS Congress 2016 will be through the FIS Online Registration Tool
that will be open from 28th August 2015 to 31st January 2016. Please be informed that
the rooms will be allocated on a “first come – first served“ basis.

Congress Arrangement and Prices
The Congress arrangement comprises six night’s accommodation at the Hotel Fiesta
Americana Grand Coral Beach Resort & Spa including breakfast and taxes, airport transfer,
coffee breaks, welcome evening, excursion with lunch, cocktail for the announcement of the
elected Organisers of FIS World Championships and gala dinner.

Flights and transfers
FIS Travel Service offers a non-stop flight from Frankfurt to Cancun and return in
economy class for CHF 1’250 including taxes. Furthermore they are able to arrange flights
from a wide variety of destinations at competitive prices. Please contact Caroline Ris

Lunch Excursion
The traditional FIS Congress Excursion will take place on Thursday, 9th June 2016. Details
are currently being prepared and will be communicated at a later stage. In any case, there will
be an excellent lunch and plenty of refreshments on a nearby island accessible via regular
boat service.
Pre/Post Congress Tours
Mexico is a popular tourist destination. FIS Travel Service can assist with organising
excursions before and/or after the Congress. Details for three or five day tours will be
communicated at a later stage and are dependent on the number of participants. Please

Half- and full day tours in the surroundings of Cancun as well as other tours may be
booked at the dedicated Travel Office on site.

C’est avec plaisir que nous vous envoyons quelques informations sur l’hôtel,
l’organisation de voyage et le programme de Congrès, etc., ainsi que les détails pour
l’inscription.

L’inscription pour le Congrès de la FIS sera effectuée par le système d’inscription « online», qui sera mis en service à partir du 28 août 2015 jusqu’à 31 janvier 2016. Nous
vous informons que les chambres seront attribuées selon le principe premier à demander,

L’arrangement du Congrès comprend l'hébergement de six nuits à l’Hotel Fiesta Americana
Grand Coral Beach Resort & Spa y compris petit déjeuner et taxes, les transferts à partir
de/jusqu’à l’aéroport, les pauses de café, une soirée de bienvenue, l’excursion avec repas, le
cocktail pour l’annonce des organisateurs élus pour les Championnats du Monde FIS et le
Dîner Gala.

L’Excursion
L'excursion traditionnelle du Congrès de la FIS aura lieu le jeudi, 9 juin 2016. Les détails de
cette excursion sont actuellement en préparation et seront communiqués ultérieurement.
Dans tous les cas il y aura un déjeuner excellent avec plein de rafraîchissements sur une île
voisine accessible en bateau avec service régulier.
Les excursions avant et après le Congrès
Le Mexique est une des destinations très fréquentée. FIS Travel Services peut vous
assister avec vos besoin de voyage et d’excursion avant et/ou après le congrès. Détails
