They will be also introduced to the making of clay animation movies. Jewelry Making: Ms Joelle Petrakian (French/ English) #2 This course will teach students the fundamentals of jewelry making; from learning about the tools, different stones/elements and their uses to the making of bracelets, necklaces, earrings and rings. You will be amazed to see your ideas and emotions reflected in a short video film of your own making! Through knowledge of techniques and concepts discussed in class, you will be the producers, the actors and the cameramen. You will also learn to critically analyze the T.V. programs. You will start the course by introducing your film and end the course by producing a film and watch the difference! Well-being and Interpersonal Skills The Art of Food: Miss Kawthar Farshoukh ( English& French) #7 Having a healthy diet is sometimes easier said than done. It is tempting to turn to less healthy snack choices because they might be easier to get or prepare. In this course nutrition and diet tips will be given. Introduction to Behavioral neuro science: Miss Maya Chebaro (English) #9 The goal of this course is to provide a general overview of topic areas in behavioral neuroscience such as understanding the bases of consciousness, perception, learning, memory, sleep and emotion as well as sexual and addictive behavior. These topics will be addressed using a case-study approach whereby a clinical case of a certain medical disorder is presented and then analyzed to understand the brain’s role in this disorder. Debate and conversation skills: Ms Abir Graizy (English) #10 This course will teach students how to speak in public and how to voice their opinions on a wide variety of topics. They will learn how to control stage-fright and become better listeners. The secrets of good communication will be revealed to them. They will become more self-confident, expressive, eloquent, and persuasive. The general knowledge they will gain from this course will serve them throughout their life. The interaction with other students their age will help them in respecting people’s opinions and communicating non-aggressively. An overview of domestic pets, exotic animals, farm animals, cross breeds and unusual animals will be examined, alongside the guide on how to handle any animal that we encounter. Mad Science: Mrs Samar Noueihed ( English& French) #14 This elective course will develop students' manipulative lab skills through interesting activities. All the activities will be covered in the lab. Come and enjoy the session with microscopes, dissecting specimens, beakers … Italian: Ms Ibtissam Nakad (English / French) #15 You have surely enjoyed Italian food and definitely appreciated Italian art so why not learn Italian Language!
