The Trophy Board will also make an effort
to secure official emblems from each of the
Nations and Kingdoms which the honored
athletes represented when chosen for honors.
T HE T ROPHY C OMMITTEES
The Trophy Board will designate advisory
Committees in each of the Continents —
Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America — to recommend
athletes in their respective Continents, for
honors. Their recommendations will be considered annually by the Trophy Board, the
members of which will make final selections.
THE HELMS WORLD TROPHY
Which serves to honor the foremost amateur athletes
of the World annually, with selections dating back
to 1896.

A l’occasion de son quatre-vingtième anniversaire, M. J.-Sigfrid Edström, président du
C. I. O., a fait don au Musée olympique de
Lausanne d’un buste de bronze à son effigie.
Cette magnifique œuvre d’art a été exécutée à
Paris et figurera désormais au Musée où elle
a trouvé sa place d’honneur. Nous réitérons
aujourd’hui les vifs remerciements du C. I. O.
à M. Edström pour son don si précieux et si
apprécié.
A Gift from the President of the I. O. C.
to the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.
To commemorate his eightieth birthday,
Mr. Sigfrid Edström, president of the I. O. C.,
has presented the Olympic Museum in Lausanne with a bronze bust of himself. This
magnificent work of art has been executed in
Paris and will henceworth occupy a place of
honour in the museum. On behalf of the
I. O. C. we wish to convey again our most
hearty thanks to Mr. Edström for his most
precious and greatly appreciated gift.
