CANIC 2014 is the premier unclassified, nonpartisan intelligence professional development
event of the year for government and military
personnel, as well as academics, industry
representatives and other guests with an interest in
understanding and enhancing Canadian intelligence
practices.
renseignement canadiens.
After more than a decade of war in Afghanistan, has
the Canadian Intelligence Enterprise learned
anything useful? Many Canadian intelligence
organizations supported Canada’s mission, at home,
in Afghanistan and elsewhere, but the international
security environment continues to percolate and
change. Which, if any, of the intelligence lessons
learned remain relevant going forward? Is Canadian
intelligence education keeping up with the need to
prepare our future intelligence leaders?
appris quelque chose d'utile?
CANIC 2014 supports CMIA pillars of enhancing
esprit de corps within the intelligence function,
contributing to the professional development of
intelligence practitioners and promoting informed,
mature and disciplined public discussion of
Canadian intelligence issues. University students
engaged in security and intelligence studies, who
represent the next generation of Canadian
intelligence practitioners, will find the symposium
valuable. Companies and corporations supporting
the Canadian Intelligence Enterprise will gain a
wider view of Canadian intelligence activity.
