• Since the company was founded, the Culture of Sleep has always been at the heart of Flou’s design philosophy; its products have
always interpreted and frequently anticipated the trends of contemporary style – from the launch of the very first textile bed, ‘Nathalie’
designed by Vico Magistretti in 1978.
At the 2012 International Furniture Salon in Milan, we will present the findings of our design research and the
company’s extraordinary commitment: 9 new beds, 11 new models of furniture accessories, a new textile collection,
additional products developed for the Children’s bedroom division and new variations in the Guardaroba wardrobe range.
The new products are our answer to the changes and the transformations underway in the market during this current economic crisis.
They have affected how homes are furnished and have modified the approach to purchase. Our driving force was the fact that in recent
years, it has been the new products that have enjoyed greater success with the public.
The latest additions to the Flou 2012 collections form a complete, highly-versatile and customizable range that has been designed to
satisfy every taste and every sector – from the entry level homes to the more sophisticated abodes. The products also fully respect the
pathway of ‘sustainable growth’ that Flou began in 2005 with the Environmental Certification.
However, one constant is the quality of the production that has been a key feature of the company’s operations; the articles are strictly
“made and manufactured” in Italy, and epitomize a complete expression of harmony between the innovative product, top quality
materials and artisan skills and experience.
• Desde siempre la “cultura del dormir” es el núcleo del proyecto Flou, con productos que - a partir de la primera cama textil, Nathalie
de Vico Magistretti (1978) - han interpretado y que a menudo han anticipado los trayectos del gusto contemporáneo.
En el Salón del Mueble 2012 presentamos los resultados de una investigación y de un esfuerzo extraordinarios: 9 Camas
nuevas, 11 Complementos de Mobiliario nuevos, nueva Colección Textil, ampliación del segmento Habitación para Chicos
y nuevas variantes en la gama de los Armarios.
Es nuestra respuesta a los cambios y las transformaciones causados por la crisis económica actual y que ha repercutido tanto en el
modo de amueblar como en el planteamiento de las compras, junto con la constatación que en los últimos años han sido precisamente
los nuevos modelos los que más éxito han cosechado.
Las novedades Flou 2012 constituyen una oferta versátil, completa, personalizable, capaz de satisfacer todas las áreas de gusto y todos
los segmentos - desde el “entry level” hasta el más sofisticado - y caben plenamente en el trayecto de “crecimiento sostenible”
emprendido por Flou en 2005 con la Certificación Ambiental.
Sigue sin cambiar la calidad que desde siempre distingue nuestros productos, rigurosamente “made and manufactured” en Italia,
expresión perfecta de armonía de proyecto innovador, materiales de primera calidad y habilidad artesana.
• Seit jeher steht die “Schlafkultur” im Zentrum aller Flou Projekte, mit Produkten, die – seit dem ersten und von Vico Magistretti (1978)
entworfenen Polsterbett Nathalie – aktuelle Geschmackstrends interpretiert und oft vorweggenommen haben.
Auf der Möbelmesse ‘Salone del Mobile 2012’ werden wir Forschungsergebnisse und die Resultate eines
ausserordentlichen Engagements präsentieren: 9 neue Betten, 11 neue Einrichtungsgegenstände, eine neue
Stoffkollektion, eine Erweiterung des Jugendzimmersegments und neue Varianten im Schranksortiment.
Dies ist unsere Antwort auf die Veränderungen und den Wandel, die von der aktuellen Wirtschaftskrise verursacht wurden, und die
sowohl die Art des Einrichtens als auch das Kaufverhalten beeinflusst haben. Aber wir konnten feststellen, dass es in den letzten Jahren
gerade die neuen Modelle waren, die den grössten Erfolg zu verzeichnen hatten.
Die Flou Neuheiten für das Jahr 2012 stellen ein vielseitiges, komplettes und an die persönliche Neigung anpassbares Angebot dar, das
in der Lage ist jedem Geschmack und jedem Segment gerecht zu werden, vom “entry level” bis hin zum anspruchsvollsten Wunsch. Und
sie fügen sich voll in das Programm des “nachhaltigen Wachstums” ein, das von Flou im Jahr 2005 mit dem Umweltzertifikat gestartet
wurde.
Unverändert bleibt jedoch die Qualität, die unsere Produkte seit jeher auszeichnet, rigoros in Italien “made and manufactured”, ein
Ausdruck von Harmonie zwischen innovativem Projekt, erstklassigen Materialien und handwerklichem Können.
• “La culture du sommeil”: depuis toujours elle est au centre des projets Flou, avec des produits qui – dès le premier lit textile, Nathalie
de Vico Magistretti (1978) – ont interprété et souvent anticipé les parcours du goût contemporain.
Au Salon du Meuble 2012 nous présentons les résultats d’une recherche et d’un effort extraordinaires: 9 nouveaux Lits,
11 nouveaux Compléments d’Ameublement, une nouvelle Collection Textile, l’agrandissement du segment Chambre
d’Enfants, ainsi que de nouvelles variantes dans la gamme des Armoires.
C’est notre réponse aux changements et aux transformations issus de la crise économique en cours, qui ont influencé autant la manière
de meubler que la manière de se rapprocher de l’achat, ainsi que le constat que, dans les dernières années, ce sont justement les
modèles nouveaux qui ont obtenu le plus grand succès.
Les nouveautés Flou 2012 constituent une offre différenciée, complète, personnalisable, capable de satisfaire tous les créneaux du goût
et tous les segments – de l’ “entry level” au plus sophistiqué – et s’insèrent de plein droit dans le parcours de “croissance soutenable”
initié par Flou en 2005 avec la Certification d’Ambiance.
La qualité, qui caractérise depuis toujours nos produits, demeure inchangée, rigoureusement “made et manufactured” en Italie,
expression accomplie d’une harmonie entre projet innovant, matériaux de premier choix et sagesse artisanale.

letto tessile, Nathalie di Vico Magistretti (1978) - hanno interpretato e spesso anticipato i percorsi del gusto
contemporaneo.
Al Salone del Mobile 2012 presentiamo gli esiti di una ricerca e di uno sforzo straordinari: 9 nuovi
Letti, 11 nuovi Complementi d’Arredo, nuova Collezione Tessile, ampliamento del segmento
Camera Ragazzi e nuove varianti nella gamma dei Guardaroba.
È la nostra risposta ai cambiamenti ed alle trasformazioni originati dalla crisi economica in atto che hanno
influenzato sia il modo di arredare che l’approccio all’acquisto, unita alla constatazione che negli ultimi anni
sono stati proprio i modelli nuovi a riscuotere il maggior successo.
Le novità Flou 2012 costituiscono un’offerta versatile, completa, personalizzabile, in grado di soddisfare tutte
le aree di gusto e tutti i segmenti - “dall’entry level” al più sofisticato - e si inseriscono a pieno titolo nel percorso
di “crescita sostenibile” iniziato da Flou nel 2005 con la Certificazione Ambientale.
Inalterata rimane la qualità che da sempre contraddistingue i nostri prodotti rigorosamente “made and
manufactured” in Italia, espressione compiuta di un’armonia tra progetto innovativo, materiali di prim’ordine
e sapienza artigianale.

Nella sua ricercatezza Ermes racchiude l’arte del “saper fare”degli
artigiani della Brianza, famosi per l’abilità nella lavorazione del legno e del
mobile. A esaltarne la raffinatezza il largo bordo in massello di noce
Canaletto, lucidato nel colore tradizionale o naturale, che incornicia la
testata e la base imbottite e rivestite in tessuto, pelle o Ecopelle
sfoderabili, con cuciture sartoriali.
Il letto, offerto solo in versione matrimoniale (misura materasso 160,
170, 180, 200 x 200 cm), è disponibile con due diversi tipi di testata:
la prima alta e larga quanto la base; la seconda bassa e allungata ai lati del
letto. Il piano di riposo a doghe regolabili può essere fornito anche con
contenitore salvaspazio.
Della stessa serie sono disponibili complementi coordinati che
conferiscono alla zona notte un ulteriore tocco di eleganza (comodino,
mobile settimanale, poltroncina, scrittoio, specchio).

With its stylish presence, Ermes epitomizes the skills of the Master
craftsmen of the industrious Brianza district, north of Milan. These
experts are famous for their ability to process wood and create
furniture. The elegance of this piece is exalted by the wide edge in
Canaletto walnut heartwood, polished with a traditional or natural
finish. It surrounds the headboard and the upholstered base with
removable covers in fabric, leather or Ecopelle, decorated with topstitching.
The bed is available as a double-size bed (mattress measurements 160,
170, 180, 200 x 200 cm),and with two different types of headboard: the
first is tall and as wide as the bedbase: the second is shorter and extends
beyond the sides of the bed. The adjustable slatted mattress support
can also be supplied with a storage base.
The series includes matching accessory pieces that give the sleeping
area an additional touch of elegance (night table, tallboy, armchair,
desk, mirror).

• En su refinación, Ermes entraña el arte del “saber hacer” de los artesanos de Brianza,
famosos por su habilidad a la hora de labrar la madera y crear muebles. Destaca por su
refinación el ancho borde de nogal Canaletto macizo, acabado en el color tradicional o
bien natural, que enmarca la cabecera y la base, acolchadas y revestidas con tejido, piel
o Ecopelle desenfundables, con costuras de sastrería.
La cama, ofrecida solamente en la versión de matrimonio (medidas del colchón
160, 170, 180, 200 x 200 cm), está disponible con dos tipos de cabecera diferentes: la
primera es alta y ancha lo mismo que la base; la segunda es baja y alargada a los lados
de la cama. El somier de lamas ajustables se puede proporcionar también con base
contenedor.
De la misma serie están disponibles unos complementos coordinados que
proporcionan a la zona noche un ulterior toque de elegancia (mesita de noche,
cómoda alta, butaquita, escritorio, espejo).
• In der Raffinesse von Ermes wird die Kunst des “savoir faire” der Handwerker aus der
Brianza sichtbar, die für ihr Geschick in der Holzbearbeitung und Möbelherstellung
bekannt sind. Die Raffinesse wird vom breiten Rand aus Nussbaum “Canaletto” noch
unterstrichen, der in seiner traditionellen oder natürlichen Farbe poliert wurde und
Kopfteil und Untergestell umrahmt, die beide mit abziehbarem Stoff-, Leder- oder
Ecopellebezug zu haben sind, mit Nähten wie vom Schneider.
Das Bett steht nur als Ehebett (Matratzenmasse 160, 170, 180, 200 x 200 cm) aber mit zwei
verschiedenen Kopfteiltypen zur Verfügung: der erste Kopfteiltyp ist hoch und so breit
wie das Untergestell; der zweite niedrig und an den Bettseiten breiter. Die Liegefläche
mit festen Federleisten mit Härteregulierung kann auch mit einem Bettkasten
geliefert werden.
Aus der gleichen Serie gibt es noch dazu passende Einrichtungsgegenstände, die dem
Schlafbereich einen weiteren Touch Eleganz verleihen (Nachttisch, Hemdenkommode,
Armsessel, Schreibtisch, Spiegel).
• Dans son raffinement, Ermes recèle l’art du “savoir-faire” de la Brianza, district de
Lombardie connu pour le design et l’habileté des artisans dans le travail du bois.
Pour en exalter le raffinement, la large bordure en noyer Canaletto massif , cirée dans
la couleur traditionnelle ou naturelle, qui entoure la têtière et la base rembourrées et
revêtues en tissu, cuir ou Ecopelle déhoussables, avec des finitions “couture”.
Le lit, proposé uniquement en version deux places (dimension matelas 160, 170, 180,
200 x 200 cm.), est disponible avec deux différents types de têtière: la première, haute
et large autant que la base; la seconde basse et allongée sur les côtés du lit. Le sommier
à lattes réglables peut être livré également avec coffre gain de place.
Dans la même série les compléments coordonnés disponibles (chevet, semainier, petit
fauteuil, bureau, miroir) offrent à la zone nuit une touche supplémentaire d’élégance.

Manifesta un lusso discreto e non esibito questo letto ricco di charme,
pregiato nei materiali e nelle finiture. Ultrachic nella versione con
la testata e la base rivestite in pelle sapientemente lavorata a intreccio,
è altrettanto raffinato nella versione rivestita in pelle non lavorata,
in tessuto o Ecopelle.
Entrambe le versioni sono perfettamente rifinite anche sul retro
testata, a suggerire ideali collocazioni anche a centro stanza.
Il piano di riposo, a doghe regolabili, accoglie materassi nelle misure
160x200 cm, 170x200 cm, 180x200 cm.
La struttura in acciaio e i quattro piedini, in alluminio verniciato color
bronzo, conferiscono carattere al basamento del letto, che è possibile
coordinare con l’omonima elegante poltroncina rivestibile in tessuto,
pelle o Ecopelle sfoderabili.

The charming bed ‘Olivier’ oozes discrete understated luxury.
The materials and the finish are top quality. The version with the
headboard and the base covered in skilfully woven leather is extremely
stylish, as are the models with covers in smooth leather, in fabric or in
Ecopelle.
The back of both versions has been perfectly finished, allowing this
bed to be positioned at the center of the room. The adjustable slatted
mattress support can be fitted with a mattress measuring 160x200 cm,
170x200 cm, 180x200 cm.
The steel frame and the four feet – in bronze-colored aluminum – give
character to the bed. It can be completed by the delightful armchair
with removable covers in fabric, leather or Ecopelle.

• Esta cama, rica de encanto, manifiesta un lujo discreto y no ostentado, con materiales
y acabados preciados. Ultrachic en la versión con cabecera y base revestidas en piel
hábilmente elaborada en trenza, es otro tanto refinada en la versión revestida en piel
no elaborada, en tejido o en Ecopelle.
Ambas versiones están perfectamente terminadas también en la parte trasera de la
cabecera, para sugerir colocaciones ideales también en medio de la habitación.
El somier, de lamas ajustables, acoge colchones de medidas 160x200 cm, 170x200 cm,
180x200 cm. La estructura de acero y los cuatro pies, de aluminio pintado en color
bronce, dan carácter a la base de la cama, que se puede coordinar con la homónima
butaca elegante revestible en tejido, piel o Ecopelle desenfundables.
Mesita de noche simple y elegante, con forma circular con dos o con tres cajones de
extracción total y cierre amortiguado, acabado interno en madera de abedul.
Estructura revestida completamente en piel. Tiradores con acabado bruñido cepillado.

Materialien und Oberflächenfinish sind von besonderer Güte. Superchic in der Version
mit dem Bezug aus geschickt verflochtenem Leder, aber auch genauso raffiniert in der
Version mit schlichtem Lederbezug, Stoffbezug oder Ecopellebezug.
Bei beiden Versionen wurde der Kopfteil auch auf der Rückseite entsprechend
verkleidet, was eine Aufstellung des Betts mitten im Raum möglich macht. Auf der
Liegefläche mit festen Federleisten mit Härteregulierung finden Matratzen mit den
Massen 160x200 cm, 170x200 cm und 180x200 cm Platz. Die Stahlstruktur und die
vier bronzefarben lackierten Aluminiumfüsse verleihen dem Untergestell des Betts
Charakter, das mit dem gleichnamigen Armsessel kombiniert werden kann, der einen
abziehbaren Bezug aus Stoff, Leder oder Ecopelle hat.
Einfacher und eleganter Nachttisch in runder Form mit zwei oder drei Schubladen,
die sich ganz herausziehen lassen und gedämpft zurückkehren. Innenauskleidung aus
Birkenholz. Vollständig mit Leder überzogene Struktur. Griffe mit brüniertem
gebürstetem Oberflächenfinish.

La structure en acier et les quatre pieds, en aluminium verni couleur bronze, confèrent
du caractère au piètement du lit, qu’il est possible de coordonner avec l’élégant

Riassume il concetto di semplicità, leggerezza e versatilità questo letto, ideale per la fascia
“entry level”. L’innovativo, resistente tessuto elastico calzato sulla testata è duttile e
confortevole come lo schienale di una sedia. Alto da terra il letto è disponibile sia nella
versione matrimoniale (materasso 160, 170, 180, 200x200 cm) che singola (materasso
100x200 cm). Il piano a doghe è incorporato nella struttura in tondino di ferro che termina
con razionali appoggi a terra negli stessi colori del tessuto di rivestimento: bianco, alluminio,
nero. A richiesta può essere fornito con la testata a led (indipendenti nella versione
matrimoniale) ed uno che corre lungo tutto il perimetro della base.
Essentia nasce da un’idea di due giovani designer di ultima generazione, ora parte dello
studio ThesiaProgetti, nel loro ciclo di studi presso la Facoltà di Architettura dell’Università
di Venezia.

• Esta cama compendia el concepto de sencillez, liviandad y versatilidad, y es ideal
para la franja “entry level”. El tejido elástico, resistente e innovador, que recubre la
cabecera, es dúctil y cómodo como el respaldo de una silla. La cama es alta y está
disponible tanto en la versión de matrimonio (colchón de 160, 170, 180 y 200x200
cm) como en la individual (colchón de 100x200 cm). El somier de lamas ajustables
está incorporado en la estructura tubular de hierro que termina con unos racionales
apoyos al suelo en los mismos colores que el tejido de revestimiento: blanco, aluminio,
negro. Sobre pedido se puede proporcionar con la cabecera con LED
(independientes en la versión de matrimonio) y con un LED que corre a lo largo de
todo el perímetro de la base.
Essentia nace de una idea de dos jóvenes diseñadores de última generación, que
ahora forman parte de ThesiaProgetti, en su ciclo de estudios en la Facultad de
Arquitectura de la Universidad de Venecia.
• Die Quintessenz des Konzepts für Einfachheit, Leichtheit und Zweckmässigkeit;
dies Bett ist ideal als “entry level”. Der innovative, widerstandsfähige und elastische
Stoffbezug des Kopfteils ist dehnbar und bequem wie die Rückenlehne eines Stuhls.
Das hoch vom Boden befindliche Bett ist sowohl als Ehebett (Matratze 160, 170, 180,
200x200 cm) als auch als Einzelbett (Matratze 100x200 cm) zu haben. Die
Liegefläche mit festen Federleisten mit Härteregulierung ist in die Rundeisenstruktur
mit integriert, die am Boden mit rationalen Füssen endet; weist die gleichen Farben
des Bezugsstoffs auf: weiss, aluminiumfarben, schwarz. Auf Anfrage kann es mit einem
LED ausgestatteten Kopfteil geliefert werden (unabhängig voneinander bei der
Version als Ehebett) und einem, der den gesamten Umfang des Untergestells umläuft.
Essentia stammt aus der Idee zweier junger Designer, die heute zum ThesiaProgetti
gehören, aus deren Studienzeit im Fachbereich Architektur der Universität Venedig.

un début dans le segment “entry level”. Son tissu élastique, résistant, qui coiffe la
têtière, offre un appui confortable, tout comme le dossier d’une chaise. D’une bonne
hauteur du sol, le lit est disponible autant en version double (matelas 160, 170, 180,
200x200 cm), que single (matelas 100x200 cm). Le sommier à lattes, incorporé
dans la structure en fer rond, est soutenu par de rationnels pieds disponibles dans les
mêmes couleurs que le revêtement: blanc, aluminium, noir. Sur demande, il peut être
livré avec la têtière avec leds (indépendants dans la version à deux places), et un led
qui court tout le long du périmètre de la base.
Essentia naît d’une idée de deux jeunes designers de la dernière génération, qui font
actuellement partie de ThesiaProgetti, dans leur cycle d’études auprès de la Faculté

Accorgimenti stilistici di grande impatto caratterizzano questo importante letto
matrimoniale, che riprende le linee rigorose degli anni Settanta declinate nel segno di una
moderna contemporaneità. Ugualmente suggestive sono le due versioni in cui viene
offerto: la prima ha fasce laterali in noce Canaletto (finitura lucidata in colore
tradizionale o naturale) che dalla base salgono a formare la testata e racchiudono il
rivestimento in tessuto, pelle o Ecopelle; la seconda totalmente rivestita (inclusa la fascia
laterale) in tessuto, pelle o Ecopelle sfoderabili.
In entrambe le versioni la testata si completa con due pannelli lievemente arcuati e separati
al centro, rivestibili in tessuto, pelle o Ecopelle sfoderabili. Dotato di piano di riposo a doghe
regolabili , può essere fornito anche con base con contenitore salvaspazio.

• Outstanding style features characterize this important double-size bed: its clean lines were inspired by the
Seventies and declined in a contemporary modern style. The two versions available are equally suggestive:
the first has lateral edges in Canaletto walnut (polished traditional or natural finish); these rise up to form the
headboard and surround the fabric, leather or Ecopelle covers: the second is completely covered (including
the lateral edges) in removable fabric, leather or Ecopelle. The headboard of both versions is completed with
two gently arched panels, separate at the center; these are upholstered with completely removable fabric,
leather or Ecopelle. The bed has an adjustable slatted mattress support and can be supplied with a storage
base. The bed can be completed by night tables belonging to the same series.

las líneas rigurosas de los años Setenta, declinadas según una contemporaneidad moderna. Son igualmente

Colombo has oriented his creativity to decorative shapes declined
with a contemporary soul. The double-size bed that results captures
the attention for the scenographic opulence of the headboard and its

Each year at the Milan Furniture Salon, in addition to the new products,
Flou always presents its fabric collection and showcases the latest
fabrics, materials, colors and patterns: bed covers, bed linens and
technical accessories, the collections that have always characterized
the ‘complete Flou sleeping system’.
The new bedcover sets mark a return to tradition and more classical
stylish bedlinen design; the overall effect is natural as the linens do not
need to be tucked in under the mattress. The duvet can be inserted
easily thanks to the large opening at the bottom. The bedcover sets
are available in more than 400 colors and patterns and are supplied to
suit every dimension of the Flou beds: from the single of width 85 cm to
the double-size 200 cm wide, and all of the intermediate sizes. There are
also new additions to the duvet sets that reflect current trends: prints,
jacquard, natural printed linen, the bright pop-art colors that were in
vogue in the Eighties, and of course the classical plain colors that satisfy
the desire for something romantic, giving warmth and importance to
the room. The selection of bed covers has been extended with new
fabrics and colors, and additional variations of those already listed in the
collection. One of the most exciting new products is a bright,

• FLOU CELEBRATES 15 YEARS IN THE ‘SATELLITE SALON’
Flou accepted Cosmit’s invitation to collaborate in the exhibition “Design-Technology”; the models designed
by 15 young designers who took part in previous editions of the Satellite Salon are on display. Flou produced
the chairs “Flowberty”, a research design by Alessandra Baldereschi; the design examines the relationship
between upholstery and its decoration.
Concept armchair and sofa FLOWBERTY design Alessandra Baldereschi
The seating was inspired by the Liberty Style in which the typical natural and floral organic shapes are
transformed into textured features with a specific function. The project developed from an investigation into
the relationship between upholstery and decoration. The upholstery is disjointed and positioned only where
it is required, with the pieces creating a decorative pattern in relief. Flowers in a variety of shapes and colors
emerge from the surfaces of the armchair and sofa, creating different chromatic landscapes.
In this way, the layer of upholstery actually increases the comfort of the seat and at the same time enhances
the decoration. The design exploits two heat-forming technologies for the thicker materials (a procedure
normally used for lingerie and sports gear) - in bi-elastic fabric for the upholstered part and a double curved
and coupled process used for the wooden components for the frame.
• FLOU CELEBRA LOS 15 AÑOS DEL “SALÓN SATÉLITE”
Flou ha aceptado la invitación de Cosmit para colaborar en la exposición “Design-Technology” en la cual se
van a exponer modelos realizados a partir de los proyectos de 15 jóvenes diseñadores, ex participantes en las
ediciones precedentes del Salón Satélite. Flou ha realizado los asientos “Flowberty”, un proyecto de
Alessandra Baldereschi que investiga la relación entre el acolchado y su decoración.

Los asientos se inspiran en el Estilo Liberty, en el cual las típicas formas orgánicas, naturales y florales, se
vuelven una textura con una función específica. El proyecto nace de una investigación de la relación entre
acolchado y decoración. El acolchado se descompone, se pone sólo donde es necesario y se moldea para
crear una decoración en relieve. Flores de varias formas y colores salen de la superficie del sillón y del sofá,
desarrollando paisajes cromáticos diferentes. De esta manera el acolchado ofrece comodidad al asiento y,
al mismo tiempo, también constituye su decoración. El proyecto utiliza dos tecnologías: termoformado de
gran espesor (utilizado normalmente para las prendas de vestir íntimas y deportivas) en tejido bielástico
para la parte acolchada, y un doble arqueado y acoplamiento de los bastidores de madera para la estructura

Auf Einladung von Cosmit nimmt auch Flou an der Ausstellung “Design-Technology” teil, wo Modelle
ausgestellt werden, die aus den Arbeiten 15 junger Designer und Ex-Teilnehmer der vorherigen Ausgaben des
Salone Satellite stammen. Flou hat die Sitzflächen “Flowberty” realisiert, die aus dem Projekt von Alessandra
Baldereschi stammen, die die Beziehung zwischen der Polsterung und deren Dekoration untersucht hat.
Concept Sessel und Sofa FLOWBERTY Design Alessandra Baldereschi
Die Sitzflächen inspirieren sich am Liberty Stil, wo die typischen organischen, natürlichen und florealen
Formen eine funktionale Beschaffenheit annehmen. Das Projekt entstammt einer Studie über die Beziehung
zwischen Polsterung und ihrem Dekor. Die Polsterung wird auseinandergenommen, nur dort positioniert wo
sie erforderlich ist, und so geformt, dass sie eine hervorstehende Dekoration bildet.
Blumen unterschiedlicher Form und Farbe treten aus der Oberfläche des Sessels und des Sofas hervor und
bilden so farblich unterschiedliche Landschaften. Auf diese Weise verleiht die Polsterung der Sitzfläche
Bequemlichkeit und gleichzeitig auch Dekor. Beim Projekt kommen zwei Technologien zur Anwendung:
Thermoformen mit hoher Wandstärke (wird normalerweise für Unterwäsche und Sportkleidung verwendet)
mit bi-elastischem Synthetikgewebe für die Polsterung und eine doppelte Wölbung und Aufkaschierung der
Holzrahmen für die Struktur.
FLOU FESTEGGIA I 15 ANNI DEL “SALONE SATELLITE”
Flou ha aderito all’invito Cosmit di collaborare alla mostra “Design-Technology” dove
verranno esposti modelli realizzati partendo dagli elaborati di 15 giovani designer ex
partecipanti alle precedenti edizioni del Salone Satellite. Flou ha realizzato le sedute
“Flowberty”, progetto di ricerca di Alessandra Baldereschi che indaga la relazione
intercorrente tra l’imbottitura e la sua decorazione.
Concept poltrona e divano FLOWBERTY

Le sedute si ispirano allo Style Liberty, dove le tipiche forme organiche naturali e floreali
diventano una texture con una specifica funzione.
Il progetto nasce da una ricerca sul rapporto tra imbottitura e decoro. L’imbottitura viene
scomposta, posizionata solo dove occorre e sagomata a creare una decorazione a rilievo.
Fiori di varie forme e colori fuoriescono dalla superficie della poltrona e del divano
sviluppando paesaggi cromatici diversi. In questo modo l’imbottitura conferisce comodità
alla seduta e, nello stesso tempo, è anche il suo decoro. Il progetto utilizza due tecnologie:
termoformatura ad alto spessore (normalmente utilizzata per l’abbigliamento intimo e
sportivo) in tessuto bielastico sintetico per la parte imbottita, e una doppia curvatura ed
accoppiamento delle scocche in legno per la struttura.
• FLOU FÊTE SES 15 ANS AU “SALON SATELLITE”
Flou adhère à l’invitation Cosmit pour collaborer à l’exposition “Design-Technology”, où seront exposés des

du fauteuil et du canapé, en créant des paysages chromatiques différents. Ainsi, le rembourrage confère de
l’aisance à l’assise et, en même temps, sert aussi de décoration. Le projet utilise deux technologies:
thermoformage à haute épaisseur (utilisé normalement pour l’habillement intime et sportif) en tissu
bi-élastique synthétique pour la partie rembourrée, ainsi qu’une double courbe et couplage des coques en
bois pour la structure.

• Born in 1975, after an artistic school training she obtained in the 2000 the Industrial Design Master at the Domus Academy
in Milan. In 2001 invited to a study –stay project in Japan she is developing some pottery- made works dedicated to the table for
some Companies of the Gifu district . She took part at the Salone Satellite editions in 2002 , 2003 and 2004.
Some works she created are part of the Dilmos Edizioni Collection. Alessandra Baldereschi projects has been exposed at the
Eindhoven DesignHuis museum (2009) for the GLASS exposition , Beijing and Shangai for the the “Milan Made in Design” expo
on 2007 (Souffle armchair), to the Milan Triennale for the “the New Italian Design” expo on 2007 (Helix corkscrew ), in New York
during the ICFF 2007 inside the “Invito a Tavola” expo 2007 (Helix corkscrew ), at the Saint Etienne Biennale on 2006 (Bosco
collection) and Inside Design Amsterdam on 2005 (Dono collection) at the Seoul Design Festival on 2003 and 2004 (Bosco and
Abat-jour collections) etc. In 2005 some works of the Bosco collection project , made with natural leaves and moss, have been
exposed in the Fertile Garden exposition at the New York Moss Gallery.

Si laurea in architettura all’Università di Firenze e dopo aver maturato varie esperienze nel mondo del design e dell’ architettura,
apre, nel 1997, il suo studio a Colle di Val d’Elsa. Iniziano le prime importanti collaborazioni nel mondo del design: nascono
oggetti e complementi per l’arredamento e l’arredo bagno. Parallelamente iniziano i primi lavori di architettura: edifici privati e
commerciali, showrooms e allestimenti espositivi.
Oggi, dopo aver acquisito esperienza e metodologia nel corso degli anni, trovano spazio nella sua progettazione diverse
competenze, che spaziano dal design del prodotto, all’interior fino all’architettura, tenendo sempre un occhio puntato alle
esigenze dell’uomo e all’ambiente che lo circonda.
Always on... è il motto dello studio, restare sempre accesi, sempre sintonizzati per riuscire a capire e a identificare le idee e i
bisogni di chi ci sta intorno.
• Fabrizio Batoni graduated in Architecture from the University of Florence. He gained considerable experience in the worlds
of Design and Architecture, giving him the expertise to open his own studio in Colle di Val d’Elsa in 1997. He was contracted to
important projects in the design world and created articles and accessories for interior design and bathrooms. In parallel, he
worked on his first projects of architecture: private and commercial buildings, showrooms and exhibition stands. At the time
of writing, thanks to the experience and the know-how he acquired over the years, his professional design activities range from
product design, interiors and architecture. In his work, he has never lost sight of Man’s needs and the environment he lives in.
Always on... is the studio’s motto – he is always tuned-in and switched-on to understand and identify ideas and the requirements
of the people around him.
• Se licencia en Arquitectura en la Universidad de Florencia y después de acumular varias experiencias en el mundo del diseño y
de la arquitectura en 1997 abre su estudio en Colle di Val d’Elsa. Empiezan las primeras colaboraciones importantes en el mundo
del diseño: nacen objetos y complementos para la decoración y el mobiliario también para el cuarto de baño. Paralelamente
comienzan los primeros trabajos de arquitectura: edificios privados y comerciales, showrooms y montajes de exposiciones.
Actualmente, después de haber acumulado experiencia y metodología en el curso de los años, en sus proyectos caben varias
competencias que abarcan el diseño de producto, el interiorismo y la arquitectura, centrándose siempre en las exigencias del
ser humano y en el ambiente que lo rodea.

• Er studiert an der Universität von Florenz Architektur und nach diversen Erfahrungen in der Welt des Designs und der
Architektur eröffnet er 1997 sein Studio in Colle di Val d’Elsa. Es beginnen die ersten bedeutenden Zusammenarbeiten in der Welt
des Designs: es entstehen Einrichtungsgegenstände und Artikel fürs Bad. Parallel dazu werden die ersten Architekturarbeiten
ausgeführt: Privatgebäude und Gewerbeimmobilien, Showrooms und Ausstellungsausstattungen. Im Lauf der Jahre konnte er
Erfahrungen sammeln und Methodologien ausprobieren, die sich in seiner Planung widerspiegeln, seine Kompetenzen reichen
von Produktdesign über Innenausstattung bis hin zur Architektur, wobei er immer die Bedürfnisse des Menschen und das diesen
umgebende Ambiente im Auge behält.

Cuno Frommherz
Cuno Frommherz nasce in Svizzera nel 1963. Falegname di formazione, si avvicina al mestiere di designer da autodidatta,
lavorando per diversi anni presso un architetto d’interni. Nel 1996 inaugura il proprio atelier di product design.
Disegna mobili d’arredo per marchi internazionali rinomati. Le sue creazioni vincono in numerose occasioni prestigiosi premi per
il design. Ha tenuto conferenze sul design in Germania, Olanda, Russia, Lettonia, Slovacchia e Danimarca.
Spazio, estetica, percezione: sono queste le tre dimensioni che ispirano il lavoro di ricerca di Cuno Frommherz e lo stimolano a
rinnovare costantemente la riflessione sui prodotti quali oggetti creativi.
“Riesco a muovere le dita solo perché lo spazio me lo consente” è nelle parole del poeta Josif Brodskij che il designer ritrova un
concetto fondamentale della sua filosofia creativa, dove gli spazi vuoti contano quanto l’oggetto che vanno a completare.
Nella sua visione, ambiente esterno, spazio e individuo sono intrecciati in maniera indissolubile.
Ogni creazione di Cuno Frommherz ha una personalità propria, mantenendo però la sobrietà e la pacatezza necessarie per far sì

Thesia Progetti nasce come studio di architettura ed ingegneria dalla collaborazione e dall’esperienza di Mino Bressan
e Donatella Santangelo, avvicinandosi negli anni ottanta all’industrial design operando in settori dell’arredamento,
dell’illuminotecnica, fino allo sviluppo di prodotti di meccanica. Da sempre rivolto ad una progettazione che si basa su alcuni
concetti fondamentali del fare: semplicità, leggerezza, versatilità. Ideologie queste pensate non più a senso unico ma in una visione
ciclica del riutilizzo del prodotto dismesso. Lo sviluppo di progetti con importanti aziende porta lo studio ad occuparsi anche
dell’immagine e della direzione artistica; la stretta sinergia tra studio ed aziende sviluppa competenze di design management
che spaziano dall’ideazione alla produzione, alla comunicazione. Negli ultimi anni la filosofia progettuale si evolve ancora grazie
anche all’ingresso nel team di progettazione di Nicolò Bressan e Sara Passalacqua: Pensare e sviluppare oggi un prodotto, sia
di architettura sia di design, significa tener conto di tutto il ciclo della sua vita, dalla nascita alla dismissione: delle implicazioni
sociali, economiche, ambientali che tutto ciò comporta.
• Cuno Frommherz was born in Switzerland in 1963. A carpenter by trade, he became a self-taught designer thanks to several
years of work with a studio of interior architecture. In 1996, he inaugurated his own atelier of product design.
In his professional career, he has designed pieces of furniture for well-known international brands and has spoken at conferences
on design in Germany, Holland, Russia, Estonia, Slovakia and Denmark. Space, esthetics, perception: these are the three dimensions
that inspire Cuno Frommherz’s work and drive him to reflect continually on products as creative articles.
‘I can move my fingers because the space around me allows me to’ - these are the words of the poet Josif Brodskij and they
epitomize the basic concept of the designer’s creative philosophy: empty space is as important as the pieces of furniture added
to it. And in his mind and through his vision, the outdoors, the space and the individual are entwined in an inextricable bond.
Every creation by Cuno Frommherz has its own personality; however, the common classic unobtrusive features are maintained
and are essential to allow the user to interpret them individually, without the created article itself dictating the rules.
• Thesia Progetti is a studio of architecture and engineering, that developed from the collaboration and experience of Mino
Bressan and Donatella Santangelo. During the 80s, it approached the field of industrial design and was active in the sectors of
furnishings, illumination technology and the developments of mechanical products. It has always been geared to design based
on the fundamental concepts of creativity: simplicity, lightness, versatility. These ideas have been developed as part of a cyclical
vision for the re-use of the product at the end of its viable lifespan. The development of projects in collaboration with important
companies steered the studio to the area of image design and art direction; the dynamic synergy between the studio and the
companies led to the development of design management skills that span from the original idea to the production to the
advertising. In recent years, the studio’s design philosophy evolved once again thanks to its inclusion in the design team of
Nicolò Bressan and Sara Passalacqua. In today’s world, envisaging and developing a product – whether architectonic or design
– means considering its entire life cycle, from the initial stages to its disposal: taking the social, economic and environmental
implications into account.

diseñador y trabaja varios años con un arquitecto de interiorismo. En 1996 inaugura su proprio taller de diseño de productos.
Diseña muebles para famosas marcas internacionales. Sus creaciones ganan numerosos y prestigiosos premios de diseño.
Ha dado conferencias sobre el diseño en Alemania, Holanda, Rusia, Letonia, Eslovaquia y Dinamarca. Espacio, estética,
percepción: estas son las tres dimensiones que inspiran el trabajo de investigación de Cuno Frommherz y lo estimulan para
renovar constantemente la reflexión sobre los productos como objetos creativos.

Estudio y empresa lleva a desarrollar competencias de gestión del diseño que abarcan desde la idea hasta la producción y la
comunicación. En los últimos años la filosofía de proyecto evoluciona una vez más, gracias también a que entran en el equipo de
proyecto Nicolò Bressan y Sara Passalacqua: Actualmente pensar y desarrollar un producto, sea de arquitectura que de diseño,
quiere decir considerar todo el ciclo de su vida, desde la creación hasta el desuso, sin dejar a un lado los reflejos sociales,
económicos, ambientales que todo esto conlleva.
• Er ist 1963 in der Schweiz geboren. 1996 hat Cuno Frommherz sein Atelier für Product Design eröffnet. Vorher war der Autodidakt
mehrere Jahre bei einem Innenarchitekten tätig, ursprünglich hat er den Beruf des Möbelschreiners erlernt.
Er gestaltet Möbel für namhafte internationale Firmen. Seine Arbeit wurde mehrfach mit renommierten Designpreisen
ausgezeichnet.
Vorträge über Gestaltung hat er in Deutschland, Holland, Russland, Litauen, der Slowakei und Dänemark gehalten.
Die Grundlage seiner Arbeit ist die Auseinandersetzung mit Raum, Schönheit und Wahrnehmung. Es sind diese Themen die ihn
bewegen und herausfordern weiterzusuchen und sich immer wieder von neuem Gedanken über Produkte zu machen.
Josef Brodsky sagte: «Ich kann meine Finger nur bewegen weil es Zwischenraum gibt». Diese Aussage ist ein wichtiger Grundsatz
seiner Gestaltungsphilosophie. Zwischenräume sind genau so wichtig wie das Objekt selbst und Bestandteil dessen. Aussenwelt,
Raum und Mensch sind in seiner Auffassung untrennbar miteinander verwoben. Cuno Frommherz sucht seinen Entwürfen eine
eigene Persönlichkeit und zugleich Zurückhaltung und Ruhe zu geben. So hat der Nutzer die Möglichkeit sich selbst einzubringen,
ohne durch das Produkt dominiert zu werden.
• Thesia Progetti entsteht als Architektur- und Ingenieursbüro aus der Zusammenarbeit und Erfahrung von Mino Bressan und
Donatella Santangelo; das Studio beginnt in den achtziger Jahren sich mit Industriedesign zu beschäftigen und wird in den
Bereichen Einrichtung und Beleuchtung tätig, sowie in der Entwicklung mechanischer Produkte. Seit jeher orientiert man sich in

Einwegrichtung gedacht, sondern sind eine Vision für einen Wiedergebrauch des abgedankten Produkts. Die Entwicklung von
Projekten mit grossen Firmen bringt das Studio dazu, sich auch mit dem Image und der künstlerischen Richtung zu beschäftigen.
Die enge Synergie zwischen dem Studio und der Firma führt zu einer Entwicklung von Design Management Kompetenzen, die
vom Entwurf über die Produktion bis hin zu Kommunikation reichen. In den letzten Jahren hat sich die Projektphilosophie auch
dank zweier neuer Gesichter im Planerteam weiterentwickelt, Nicolò Bressan und Sara Passalacqua: Entwickelt man heutzutage
ein Produkt, egal ob im Bereich Architektur oder Design, bedeutet dies, dass man dessen gesamten Lebenszyklus berücksichtigen

En 1996, il ouvre son propre atelier de product design. Il dessine du mobilier d’intérieur pour des marques internationales de
renom. Dans de nombreuses occasions, ses créations ont remporté des prix de design prestigieux.
Il a tenu des conférences sur le design en Allemagne, Hollande, Russie, Lettonie, Slovaquie et au Danemark. L’espace, l’esthétique
et la perception, sont les trois dimensions qui inspirent le travail de recherche de Cuno Frommherz, en le stimulant à renouveler
constamment sa réflexion sur les produits en tant qu’ob-jets créatifs.

• Thesia Progetti naît comme cabinet d’architecture et d’ingénierie, de la collaboration entre Mino Bressan et Donatella
Santangelo et de leur expérience. Durant les années Quatre-vingts, il s’est rapproché du design industriel en opérant dans les
secteurs de la décoration et de l’éclairagisme, jusqu’au développement de produits de mécanique. Depuis toujours, il est orienté
