On June 14, 1990, the Federal
Court, Trial Division, granted
the Canadian Cable Television
Association's (CCTA)
application for an
interlocutory order
prohibiting the Copyright
Board from taking any further
proceedings in respect of
tariff 17. The CCTA is also
seeking a permanent
prohibition order, which the
Court has yet to rule on.
Le 14 juin 1990, la Division
de première instance, de la
Cour fédérale, a fait droit à
la demande de l'Association
canadienne de télévision par
câble (ACTC) pour une
ordonnance interlocutoire

The Court order has the effect
of nullifying aIl of the
Board's decisions taken at the
pre-hearing conference of
May 23, 1990. This includes
the deadlines established
for filing evidence,
interrogatories and replies
thereto, and pre-hearing
memoranda.
