Hong Kong – On Saturday, 21 March, Fine & Rare Wines Featuring An Esteemed Connoisseur's Private Collection Part
II at Christie’s Hong Kong totalled HK$26,629,410, and was sold 93% by lot and 96% by value.
“Global wine lovers showed their appreciation for the strong single-owner & cellar selections at Christie’s first wine auction
of the season. A 57-bottle Bordeaux vertical collection of Pétrus, featuring rare vintages from 1950 to 2009 achieved
HK$1.59million (US$206,000). Fine Champagne offerings also set a high standard, proving that mature vintage champagne
has a firm following. Demand continues for fine Burgundy both from the famous Domaines to the up-and-coming unsung
heroes,” said Tim Triptree, Senior Specialist and Head of Sales with Christie’s Hong Kong Wine Department.
