ABOUT INTERMEZZO
Claudio Santambrogio is the founder of Intermezzo, a hand
made furniture company that includes an outstanding selection of Italian and international brands and designers. After
graduating in interior design in Italy, Claudio joined his family’s
furniture company as a Production Manager. This vocational
training allowed him to set up his own business. In 1992, Claudio moved to Denmark and opened his first shop in Copenhagen. Intermezzo immediately made a name for itself thanks
to its ability to combine elements of Italian and Nordic design.
2013 was a crucial year for the company because Claudio decided to move his business online to reach a broader market.
Intermezzo offers a collection of wardrobes, chairs and lighting inspired by the 1960s and 1970s décor, combining the
charm of bygone days with a contemporary spirit.
REFRESH COLLECTION is an essential part of Intermezzo’s
design offer and includes cabinets, chairs and lighting decorated with special fabrics and wallpapers. These items were
born from the ideas that there are many ways to use wallpaper
aside from the traditional uses. The use of wallpaper is a way to
create focal points and accents in the home. These furniture
pieces, coordinated with wallpaper, give an artistic twist to the
house and create a dreamy scenery.
Claudio Santambrogio est le fondateur d’Intermezzo, un fabricant de mobilier italien haut de gamme portant la signature
de designers de renommée internationale. Après des études
d’architecture d’intérieur, Claudio Santambrogio rejoint l’entreprise d’ameublement familiale puis crée sa propre entreprise. En 1992, il part vivre au Danemark et ouvre son premier
showroom à Copenhague. Sa boutique devient rapidement célèbre grâce à du mobilier s’inspirant tant du design italien que
du design scandinave. En 2013, Intermezzo s’implante sur le
marché International en ouvrant une boutique en ligne où l’on
peut acheter du mobilier, des sièges et des luminaires dans un
style alliant esprit contemporain et design années 60/70.
Parmi les différentes collections d’Intermezzo, la collection
Refresh – armoires, luminaires et sièges décorés avec des tissus et des papiers peints originaux – est la gamme la plus importante. Ces pièces de mobilier, coordonnées au papier-peint,
créent des effets d’optique surprenants et élégants, transformant l’espace en une œuvre d’art.
