Contest Rules
1. Objectives:
The International Festival of Students’ film (FIFE) is a visual demonstration organized by the
Association " ARTS ET METIERS " in collaboration with the Institute IHB ART MEDIA and
other public and private partners. This pedagogical and creative event aims at promoting dialogue
and exchange between students from around the world through all genres of cinematic image.
2. The spirit of the films:
Artistic director of the Festival provides selection of films (fiction, documentary, animation 2d
and 3d, video, experimental film), a special attention will be given to works that:
Highlight the importance of dialogue and tolerance in relations between peoples;
Wear a fresh original and innovative look on topical issues;
Help the knowledge and understanding of other cultures in order to fight against prejudices,
clichés, stereotypes, sources of conflicts and misunderstandings;
Address the collective imagination and mutual representations, value the right to difference and
dialogue.
3. Competition Section :
The competition includes the following section:
Films made by laureate students or students in their last year of training. Artistic director of the
film festival selects a film for each candidate.
4. Jury:
The Festival organizing committee will choose a jury of professionals and personalities from film
and television, who will judge the students’ films .
5 - Prize:
The festival jury will award 3 prizes this year for these cinematic categories:
"Film Animation Film: 1st prize, 2nd prize, 3rd prize.
"Fiction Film": 1st prize, 2nd prize, 3rd prize.
"Documentary Film": 1st prize, 2nd prize, 3rd prize.
"Experimental Film": 1st prize, 2nd prize, 3rd prize.
"Video Clip": 1st prize, 2nd prize, 3rd prize.
The prices of these categories are awarded by the Association "Arts and Crafts".

6 - Other Conditions:
Genres accepted: All genres are accepted (fiction, documentary, animation, music video,
experimental film).
Length: the length of the films should be between 2 and 15 minutes.
Formats: The films must be submitted exclusively to the Art Direction video format "DVD"
Visibility: Participants should insert logos of their institutions training at the opening credits of
their films.
Content: The content of the film is the sole responsibility of the author's name and can in no way
be interpreted as reflecting the position of the direction of the festival.
7 - Registration of candidates:
The application form should be downloaded, completed and signed.
Participation is limited to 2 films per student.
Films must be sent by post, accompanied by:
MSDS sheet and film synopsis, 2 photos portrait of the author, movie poster, some scenes of the
film, a copy of diploma or certificate of attendance.
Shipping DVD movies are the responsibility of the candidates who are responsible for the
copyright.

Règlement de participation
1. Objectifs :
Le Festival International du Film de l’Etudiant (FIFE)
est
une manifestation
audiovisuelle organisée par l’Association « ARTS ET METIERS »en collaboration avec
l’Institut IHB ART MEDIA. Cet événement d’ordre pédagogique et créatif vise
à
favoriser le dialogue et l’échange entre les étudiants de quatre coins du monde à
travers l’image cinématographique, tous genres confondus.
2. l’esprit des films :
La direction artistique du Festival assure la sélection des films (film de fiction,
documentaires, films d’animation 2d et 3d, clip vidéo, film expérimental ) dont une
attention particulière sera accordée aux œuvres qui:
Mettent en valeur l’importance du dialogue et de la tolérance dans les relations entre les
peuples ;
Portent un regard nouveau, original et novateur sur des thèmes d’actualité;
Aident à la connaissance et à la compréhension des autres cultures afin de lutter contre
les préjugés, les clichés, les stéréotypes, les sources de conflits et malentendus;
Traitent des imaginaires collectifs et des représentations mutuelles ;
Valorisent le droit à la différence et au dialogue.
3. Section Du Concours :
Le concours comprend la section suivante :
Les films réalisés par les étudiants lauréats ou en dernière année de formation.
La direction artistique du festival sélectionnera un film par candidat.
4. Jury :
La Direction du Festival nombrera un jury, composé de professionnels ou personnalités
du cinéma et de la télévision, qui jugera les films des
étudiants participants.
5- Prix:
Le jury du Festival décernera cette année 3 prix pour ces catégories filmiques :
« Film d` Animation » : 1 er prix, 2 ème prix, 3 ème prix.
« Film de Fiction » : 1 er prix, 2 ème prix, 3 ème prix.
« Film documentaire » : 1 er prix, 2 ème prix, 3 ème prix.
« Film expérimental » : 1 er prix, 2 ème prix, 3 ème prix.
« Clip vidéo » : 1 er prix, 2 ème prix, 3 ème prix.
Les prix sont décernés l’Association « Arts et Métiers ».

6- D’autres Modalités :
Genres admis : Tous les genres sont admis (fiction, documentaire, animation, clip vidéo,
film expérimental).
Durée: la durée des films doit être comprise entre 2 et 15 minutes.
Formats: Les films doivent parvenir á la Direction Artistique exclusivement au format
vidéo « DVD »
Visibilité: Les participants devront insérer les logos de leurs instituts de formation au
générique du début de leur film.
Le contenu : Le contenu du film est la seule responsabilité de nom de l’auteur et ne
peut en aucun cas être interprété comme reflétant la position de la direction du festival.
7- Inscription des candidats :
Le formulaire de candidature devra être téléchargé, complété et dûment signé.
La participation est limitée à 2 films par étudiant.
Les films devront être envoyés par poste, accompagnées de :
Fiche signalétique, fiche technique du film et son synopsis, 2 photos portrait de l’auteur,
affiche du film, quelques scènes du film, une copie de diplôme ou certificat de scolarité.
Les frais d’expédition des films DVD sont à la charge des candidats qui assument la
responsabilité des droits d´auteur.
