Chers Etudiants,
Nous voici le premier jour du semestre et la première édition du
Troubadour. Vous trouverez tous les lundis les dates importantes pour la
semaine et les informations qui vous aideront à mieux naviguer les
activités du semestre. So keep an eye out for the Troubadour information
letter every Monday. This will be a busy first two weeks and maybe even
a little unsettling. No need to stress. This is what you came here for, and
we want you to get the most out of it by seeing things differently. We look
forward to starting the semester with you. Your staff and professors here
are willing to provide guidance and are passionate about helping
students get the most out of their time in Aix-en-Provence. Please don't
hesitate to ask anyone here for help.

STUDY TOUR TO LA CIOTAT
Mardi, 8 septembre -8h45, meet at Hôtel Roi René (see http://goo.gl

Following the full day orientation, we will visit the picturesque, seaside
town of La Ciotat on Tuesday, a site known for the first cinema showing
in 1895. We'll visit the village with its cinema and market before going to
the beach for the afternoon. We'll also see the extraordinary, scenic
Route des Crêtes. You may bring your own picnic food or buy food at the
market in the morning to eat later before the beach. For those less
interested in sea and sun, you will be able to the village and to the old
harbor to take in the sites. A relaxing day, we'll return around 6pm.

Vendredi, 11 septembre
15h, meet at CEF, Main Hall
This is not a scavenger hunt around Aix. Students will be divided into
teams for this friendly competition to see who already has the best
knowledge of getting around Aix. Prizes for the winners.

Visit to Marseille
Founded around 600 BC, the city of the Phoecians, Marseille, is the
oldest city in France and one of the oldest cities of Europe. As a major
port city, it is also one of the most multi-cultural and cosmopolitan cities
you may ever visit. Return around 5pm.
