1983: Graduation from Arsakeion Secondary School.
1987: Graduation from the Faculty of History and Archaeology – School of Philosophy
of the University of Athens.
1995: Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of History and Archaeology – School of Philosophy
of the University of Athens. Title: The Kouros Type. Its Function and Use in
Mainland Greece and the Islands (unpublished).
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY
1988: Collaboration with the 2nd Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities of the
Greek Archaeological Service.
1995: Collaboration with the Lexicon Iconographicum Mythologiae Classicae (LIMC).
1996-1999: Temporary Research Assistant of the Institute for Greek and Roman
Antiquities (K.E.R.A.) of the National Hellenic Research Foundation.
2000—2004: Research Assistant of the above-mentioned Institute.
2004-2008: Research Assistant Professor of the above-mentioned Institute.
From 2008 onwards: Senior Researcher of the above-mentioned Institute.

● History and historical geography of ancient Thrace
● Epigraphy
● Administrative organisation of the Roman province of Thrace
RESEARCH AND OTHER ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES
● Organization of three Workshops in cooperation with the French School of Athens
entitled «La domination romaine sur les communautés du Nord Égéen (IIe s. av. J.-C. –
IIe s. apr. J.-C.). Entre ruptures et continuités». These seminars will be held in Athens
in the period from April 2014 to March 2015.
● Collaboration with the Copenhagen Associations Project of the University of
Copenhagen - study and insertion into a database of evidence pertaining to the private
associations of ancient Thrace.
● Writing of a chapter on Greek Epigraphy of ancient Thrace for the Oxford Handbook
of Greek Epigraphy (ed. Nik. Papazarkadas, UC Berkeley).
● Creation of an interactive map for the program KREPIS of the NHRF. Title: «The army
as a means of networking. The installation of veterans in Roman Thrace».
● Member of the editorial Committee (2012-2015) of the Journal Tekmeria
(www.tekmeria.org).
