Hanneke Beaumont vit et travaille à Bruxelles
Hanneke Beaumont lives and works in Brussels,
Belgium
Au début de sa carrière, le biais de la commande
astreint l'artiste à travailler en référence à un modèle.
Mais très vite elle se libère du carcan que lui impose
la fidélité. Trop de contraintes la limitent dans sa
volonté d'expression, dans son désir de traduire une
certaine intériorité. Elle se passe ainsi
progressivement du sujet ne retenant que l'aspect
physique d'un corps qu'elle modèle, sachant
d'instinct le mouvement, l'attitude, qu'il prendra.
Davantage captivée par le vécu intime de l'homme,
et sans pour autant donner des traits individualisés,
elle désire rendre compte de ce qui rend les êtres
humains : l'inquiétude, l'espoir, l'attente, la fragilité,
la réflexion intérieure.Face à une sculpture
d'Hanneke Beaumont on est immédiatement «
écrasé » par sa vivante présence.
