in the postcard. Then ask one of the following questions or ask for a feedback regarding this

trafficking?) 83% of arrested child pornography possessors had images of children 6 to 12 years of

NOMMINATION ADMINISTRATEUR APOSTOLIQUE – APOSTOLIC ADMINISTRATOR NOMINATION
Le 13 janvier 2016, l’archevêque d'Ottawa Mgr Terrence Prendergast a été nommé par le pape
François comme Administrateur Apostolique du diocèse d'Alexandria-Cornwall. Il souhaite de faire
savoir à tous que son mandat est de consulter le diocèse au cours de la prochaine année et demie
pour décider du sort du diocèse. Est-ce que le diocèse serait mieux servi en nommant un nouvel
évêque, ou en l'associant à un autre diocèse dans une forme d'union coopérative ? La discussion est
ouverte et aucune décision n'a encore été prise. Mgr Prendergast est heureux de servir le diocèse au
cours de cette période de réflexion et nous invite tous à prier pour lui et pour ce processus.
On January 13, 2016, Ottawa Archbishop Terrence Prendergast was named by Pope Francis as Apostolic
Administrator of the Diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall. He wishes all to know that his mandate is to consult in
the diocese over the next year and a half to determine the future of the diocese. Would the diocese be better
served by naming a new bishop or by associating it with another diocese in some form of cooperative union?
The discussion is open-ended and no decision has yet been reached. He looks forward to serving the diocese
during this period of reflection and invites prayers for him and this process.

AN EVENING OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP MUSIC: Please join us for an hour of Praise and Worship
music, on Thursday January 21st at St. Peter’s Church from 6:30-7:30 pm. Bring whatever voice God
gave you and sing it back to Him! Praise and Worship is a style of music that speaks directly to our
Lord and becomes a personal prayer for those who sing it or listen to it. Most of the melodies are
simple to learn. A current favorite: “Lord I need You!” All are welcome. Upcoming evenings are: Feb.
25, March 31, April 28, May 26 and June 23.
PALLIATIVE CARE AND PHYSICIAN ASSISTED SUICIDE:
On Saturday, February 6th from 9:30 am to noon, in the parish hall of St. Francis de Sales Parish, the
diocesan CWL is hosting a forum and discussion on palliative care and physician assisted suicide.
The speakers will include Fr. Kevin Maloney, Dr. Daniel Lacroix, the Hospice’s Dr. Mary Jane Randlett,
and Jordan Arthur a local lawyer. There is no cost and everyone is welcome.
MEN SILENT’S RETREAT : “Behold The Man!”: Men's Silent Retreat” All men are welcome to join
Father Todd Arsenault, LC the weekend of February 12th to 14th to “Encounter The Lord Through his
Humanity ". The retreat will take place at Shalom House in Alexandria. The cost of the weekend is just
$185, which includes your lodging and your meals. Space is limited so register by February 5th.

McCaig, Minnesota Vikings! Fr. Scott joined, Companion of the Cross , from Kamloops, B.C. Please
join Fr. Scott! First session, Sunday February 28thn at 7:00pm. Second session, Monday February
29th,at 7:00pm. Third session, Tuesday March 1st, at 7:00pm (Sacrament of reconciliation) and the final
evening Wednesday March 2nd, at 7:00pm for the Eucharistic Celebration. EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
