2. Hardware Installation
2.1 Einlegen der Batterien
a) Entfernen Sie die Batteriefach-Abdeckung und legen die Batterien polrichtig
in das Batteriefach (Abb1). Die richtige Polarität ist dort aufgezeichnet.
b) Bringen Sie die Batteriefach-Abdeckung wieder so an, dass sie fest
verschlossen ist.
3. Maus und Empfänger verbinden / Inbetriebnahme
a) Betätigen Sie die Verbindungstaste am Empfänger, die Status-LED blinkt
(Abb.2). Der Empfänger ist zum Abgleich mit der Maus bereit.
b) Betätigen Sie anschließend innerhalb von 10 Sekunden die Verbindungstaste
mit einem spitzen Gegenstand (z.B. einem Sift) auf der Unterseite der
Maus (Abb.1). Diese Taste ist mit „Connect“ gekennzeichnet. Bitte achten
Sie darauf, das sich während dieser Verbindungsphase, Maus und
Empfänger nicht mehr als 30 cm voneinander entfernt befinden.
c) Die Maus ist nun betriebsbereit. Wird diese bewegt, blinkt die Status LED
am Empfänger. Sollte sich der Mauszeiger nicht bewegen, wiederholen Sie
die Schritte 3a-b.

4. Batteriekontrolleuchte
Wenn der Spannungspegel der Batterien den vorgegebenen Wert
unterschritten hat und die Maus durch Bewegen oder Klicken betätigt wird,
blinkt die Batterie-Kontolleuchte (Abb 3). Die Maus funktioniert zwar noch
einige Zeit, Sie sollten aber so bald als möglich die Batterien austauschen.

2.2 Anschließen des USB Empfängers
a) Verbinden Sie den USB Empfänger mit einem freien USB Anschluss am PC.
b) Sofern noch nicht geschehen, schalten Sie den Computer ein.
c) Der USB-Empfänger wird von Windows® erkannt und in das Betriebssystem
eingebunden.
d) Stellen Sie den ON-OFF Schalter auf der Unterseite der Maus auf „ON“
(Abb.1).

5. DPI-Umschalter
Betätigen Sie den DPI-Umschalter (Abb3) um zwischen 800 - 1600 dpi
umzuschalten.
Beim Umschalten auf 1600 dpi und beim Bewegen der Maus, leuchtet die
DPI-Anzeige (Abb3) kurz auf.
In der Registerkarte „Geschwindigkeit“ können Sie Einstellungen zur
Scrollgeschwindigkeit und Empfindlichkeit des Mauszeigers vornehmen.
6. 4-Wege-Scrollrad
Das 4-Wege-Scrollrad ist ideal zum Anzeigen großer Bilder, Dokumente oder
Tabellenkalkulationen. Dies ist jedoch nur möglich, wenn die Bildlaufleisten in
horizontaler bzw. vertikaler Richtung vorhanden sind. Um alle Funktionen der
Maus, insbesondere des 4-Wege-Scrollrades zu nutzen, ist es notwendig die
Software zu installieren (siehe Punkt 7).
7. Softwareinstallation
• Die Software unterstützt Windows® 98SE/ME/2000/XP
• Deinstallieren Sie eventuell bereits vorhandene Maussoftware.
a) Legen Sie die beigelegte CD in Ihr CD-ROM oder DVD-ROM Laufwerk.
Warten Sie einen Moment, und die Installation wird automatisch gestartet.
Sollte dies nicht geschehen, klicken Sie auf Start => Ausführen, geben Sie
„X:/Setup ein (wobei „X“ für den Laufwerksbuchstaben Ihres CD-ROM
Laufwerks steht) und bestätigen Sie mit Enter.
b) Wählen Sie die gewünschte Sprache aus und klicken Sie auf „Weiter“.
c) Starten Sie nach Abschluss der Installation Ihren PC neu.
d) Nach erfolgreicher Installation erscheint das Maussymbol
in der
Taskleiste.
Hinweis:
Während der Installation unter Windows® XP können Meldungen bezüglich
eines nicht bestandenen Logo-Tests erscheinen. Die Funktion der Maus oder
Software wird dadurch nicht beeinträchtigt. Fahren Sie mit der Installation
fort.
In der Registerkarte „Tasten“ können Sie verschiedene Einstellungen zu den
Tasten vornehmen.
Die Funktionen der Tasten 1-3 können Sie, mithilfe des pull-down Menü, Ihren
eigenen Vorstellungen anpassen.
Die Taste 4 können Sie mit zwei verschiedenen Modi belegen:
- Office Modus: Bei Auswahl des Office Modus erscheint bei Betätigung
ein kreisförmiges Menüfeld. Mit diesem Menü können Sie verschiedene
Anwendungen (z.B. MS Office) starten.
7. Softwarekonfiguration
Um das Konfigurationsprogramm zu öffnen, führen Sie einen Doppelklick
auf das Maussymbol
in der Taskleiste aus, oder gehen Sie über Start/
Programme/Laser Mouse/Laser Mouse 1.0.

- Zoom Modus: Bei Auswahl des Zoom Modus, können Sie nach Betätigung
dieser Taste in verschiedenen Programmen, mit den Tasten 2 und 3 zoomen.

2.1 Inserting the Batteries

a) Remove the battery compartment cover and insert the batteries in the
correct direction in the battery compartment (Fig. 1). The correct polarity is
indicated there.
b) Reattach the battery cover so that it is securely closed.
- Betätigen Sie die Taste innerhalb einer Office-Anwendung, öffnet sich
wiederum ein kreisförmiges Menüfeld mit verschiedenen Optionen zur
Bearbeitung Ihrer Daten.

2.2 Connecting the USB receiver
a) Connect the USB receiver to an available USB port on the PC.
b) Switch on your computer if you have not already done so.
c) Windows® detects the USB receiver and integrates it into the operating
system.
d) Set the ON-OFF switch on the base of the mouse to “ON” (Fig. 1).

3. Connecting the mouse and receiver / getting started
a) Press the Connect button on the receiver; the status LED starts to flash
(Fig. 2). The receiver is now ready to synchronise with the mouse.
b) Using a pointed object (for instance, a pen), press the Connect button on
the base of the mouse within 10 seconds (Fig. 1). This button is marked with
“Connect”. Please note that the mouse should be no more than 30 cm away
from the receiver during this connecting phase.
c) The mouse is now ready for use. The LED on the receiver flashes when the
mouse is moved. If the cursor does not move, then repeat steps 3a-b.

5. DPI switch
Press the DPI switch (Fig. 3) to toggle between 800 - 1600 dpi.
When the mouse is moved while switched to 1600 dpi, the DPI display (Fig. 3)
illuminates briefl y.
6. 4-way scroll wheel
The 4-way scroll wheel is ideal for displaying large images, documents or
spreadsheets. However, you can only do this if the horizontal or vertical scroll
bars are present. To use all the functions of the mouse, in particular the 4-way
scroll wheel, you must install the software (see point 7).

If the voltage level of the batteries drops below the preset value and you move
or click the mouse, the battery control lamp flashes (Fig. 3). Although the
mouse will still function for some time, you should change the batteries as soon
as possible.

7. Installing the software
• The software supports Windows® 98SE/ME/2000/XP
• Uninstall any mouse software already installed.
a) Place the enclosed CD in your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive. Wait a moment,
installation starts automatically. If it does not start automatically, click Start
=> Run, enter “X:\Setup” (where „X” is the drive letter of your CD-ROM
drive) and press Enter to confirm.
b) Select the required language and click Next.
c) Restart your PC after the software is installed.
d) After installation is complete, the mouse icon
appears in the task bar.
Note:
When installing while using Windows® XP, a message may appear regarding
a failed logo test. This does not affect mouse or software operation. Simply
ignore and continue with the installation.
7. Configuring the software
To open the configuration program, double-click the mouse icon
in the task
bar or use the file path: Start/Programs/Laser Mouse/Laser Mouse 1.0..

In the Speed tab, you can set the scroll speed and the cursor sensitivity.
- Clicking the button inside an Office application opens a circular menu field
that has various options for processing your data.
- Zoom mode: Once this button is pressed in Zoom mode, you can zoom in
various programs using buttons 2 and 3.
To return to the factory settings, click Restore.
8. Support and contact information
If products are defective:
In the Buttons tab, you can perform various settings for the buttons.
You can adjust the functions of buttons 1-3 to your personal requirements using
the pull-down menu.
You can assign button 4 with two different modes:
- Office mode: If Office mode is selected, a circular menu field appears when
you click the mouse. Using this menu, you can start various applications
(e.g. MS Office).

¬ Mode d‘emploi
1. Contenu de l‘emballage

2. Installation du matériel
2.1 Mise en place des piles
a) Ouvrez le couvercle du compartiment et insérez les piles en respectant la
polarité (fig. 1). La bonne polarité est indiquée à l’intérieur du compartiment.
b) Refermez le couvercle du compartiment à piles.
3. Synchronisation souris – récepteur / mise en service
a) Appuyez sur la touche de connexion du récepteur ; la DEL d’affichage d’état
commence à clignoter (fig. 2).
Le récepteur est alors prêt pour la synchronisation avec la souris.
b) Appuyez dans les 10 secondes sur la touche de connexion de la face inférieure
de votre souris (fig. 1) à l’aide d’un objet pointu (un stylo, par exemple). Cette
touche est indiquée par « Connect ». La souris devrait être à une distance
d’environ 30 cm du récepteur afin de garantir une connexion parfaite.
c) Votre souris est alors prête à fonctionner. La DEL d’état du récepteur
clignote lorsque la souris est utilisée. Répétez les étapes 3 a-b dans le cas
où le pointeur ne bouge pas.

4. Voyant de contrôle des piles
Lorsque le niveau de charge des piles est faible, le voyant de contrôle de la
souris (fig. 3) clignote lorsque vous l’utilisez (mouvements et clics). Votre souris
continuera certes à fonctionner pendant quelques temps, mais vous devriez
remplacer les piles dès que possible.

2.2 Branchement du récepteur USB
a) Raccordez le récepteur USB à un port USB libre de votre ordinateur.
b) Mettez votre ordinateur sous tension.
c) Le récepteur USB est alors reconnu par Windows® et intégré dans votre
système d’exploitation.
d) Réglez l’interrupteur ON-OFF de la face inférieure de la souris sur « ON »

5. Commutateur dpi
Actionnez le commutateur dpi (fig. 3) afin de commuter entre 800 et 1600 dpi
(ppp).
L‘affichage dpi s‘allume (fig. 3) lorsque vous commutez sur 1600 dpi et bougez
la souris.
Vous pouvez régler la vitesse de défilement et la sensibilité du pointeur de la
souris dans l’onglet « vitesse ».
6. Molette à 4 directions
La molette à 4 directions convient parfaitement pour l’affichage des grandes
images, de documents ou de tableurs. Les barres de défilement horizontale
ou verticale doivent toutefois être disponibles. Il est nécessaire d’installer le
logiciel (voir point 7) afin de profi ter pleinement de toutes les fonctions de la
souris, dont la molette à 4 directions.
7. Installation du logiciel
• Le logiciel supporte Windows® 98SE/2000/ME/2000/XP
• Désinstallez éventuellement tout logiciel de souris déjà installé.
a) Insérez le CD fourni dans votre lecteur de CD-ROM ou de DVD-ROM.
Patientez jusqu’à ce que le programme d’installation démarre
automatiquement. Dans le cas où l‘installation n’est pas lancée, cliquez sur
Démarrer => Exécuter, tapez « X:\Setup » (X étant éventuellement à
remplacer par la lettre de votre lecteur de CD-ROM) et validez avec Enter.
b) Sélectionnez la langue souhaitée et cliquez sur « Suivant ».
c) Redémarrez ensuite votre ordinateur après l‘installation.
d) Une fois l’installation réussie, l‘icône de la souris
apparaît dans la barre
des tâches.
Remarque :
Il est possible que des messages concernant le test de logo Windows
apparaissent pendant l’installation sous Windows® XP. Le fonctionnement
de la souris ou du logiciel n’en seront toutefois pas affectés. Continuez
l’installation.
Vous pouvez configurer différents paramètres concernant les touches dans
l’onglet « Touches ».
Vous pouvez adapter les fonctions des touches 1-3 comme vous l’entendez à
l’aide du menu déroulant.
Vous pouvez assigner deux modes différents à la touche 4 :
- Mode Office Modus : Un champ de menu rond apparaît lorsque vous
sélectionnez le mode Office. Ce menu vous permet de démarre plusieurs
applications (MS Office, etc.).
7. Configuration du logiciel
Double cliquez sur l’icône de la souris
dans la barre des tâches afin d’ouvrir
le programme de configuration ou cliquez sur Démarrer/Programmes/Laser
mouse/Laser mouse 1.0.

- Lorsque vous actionnez la touche à l‘intérieur d‘une application Office, un
nouveau menu rond s‘ouvre vous présentant différentes options pour la
gestion de vos données.
- Mode Zoom : Le mode Zoom vous permet de zoomer avec les touches 2 et 3
dans différents programmes dès que vous actionnez ces touches.
Pour rétablir les réglages par défaut, cliquez sur « Réinitialiser ».
