B - SOFTENING THE BRACE FITTINGS FOR FORMING
1) Tip : We advise you to use our forming kit ref. 6C96 to achieve the correct brace
fitting alignment when making the orthosis.

2) Oven softening : The oven is set to 140°C and the brace fittings are heated for 20
minutes. It is essential to remove all the metal screws before heating the brace
fittings as they might damage the plastic.

accelerating the cooling process with compressed air.

All the finishing operations (cutting to length, drilling, etc...) should be carried out only

B - RAMOLLISSEMENT DES FERRURES POUR FORMAGE
1) Conseil : Afin d’obtenir un alignement correct des ferrures lors de la réalisation de
l’orthèse, nous vous conseillons d’utiliser le kit de formage PROTEOR réf. 6C96.

2) Ramollissement au four : Le four sera réglé à 140°C et le temps de réchauffement
des ferrures sera de 20 mn. Il est impératif avant de chauffer les ferrures, de retirer
toutes les vis métalliques qui risqueraient d’endommager le plastique.

C - REFROIDISSEMENT
Dans tous les cas, il est recommandé de laisser les ferrures refroidir sur le modèle
en plâtre sans accélérer le refroidissement par de l’air comprimé.
D - MISE A LONGUEUR - PERÇAGE
Toutes les opérations d’apprêtage (mise à longueur, perçage, …) ne devront être
réalisées qu’une fois les ferrures entièrement refroidies.
E - ACCESSOIRES
1) Kit de formage PROTEOR réf. 6C96 : Permet de dégauchir facilement lors du formage.
2) Verrou réf. 6C97 : L’installation de cet accessoire permet un verrouillage simple et
efficace dans toute position pré-déterminée.
3) Coussins condyliens 6C98 : Jeu de deux coussins condyliens avec accessoires de
fixation sur ferrures.
