Archaeology of Jordan I. Bibliography, Vol. 2 1980-2005
Archaeology of Jordan I. Bibliography vol. 2 1980-2005 D. HOMÈS-FREDERICQ J.B. HENNESSY - C. SABA Published in 2010 Wetteren: Cultura Joint publication of the Belgian Committee of Excavations in Jordan at Lehun (al-Lahun) and the Assyriological Center Georges Dossin, Brussels - Belgium A first volume of this bibliography was published in 1986. During the last 25 years the number of archaeological excavations in the Hashemite Kingdom and the amount of publications about Jordan have increased enormously. In this relative short period there have been many more bibliographical references than between the time of the ancient travellers in Jordan and 1986, when our first bibliography appeared. Most references have been checked; figs., maps., plans, etc. have been included. This book includes more than 12.000 bibliographical items and is divided into three chapters: 1) General Bibliography; 2) Gazetteer of Surveys; 3) Gazetteer of Sites. It is an essential source of references for professional field workers, scholars and students involved in archaeological and related studies of Jordan. It is indispensable in each University or Institute Library specializing in the archaeology of the Ancient Near East. A volume in 4° (21 x 30 cm), paperback, 400 p. - Price in Euro: 75,- + postage.
