Touching Without Defining: Moving Toward a Deeper
Understanding of Professional Touch
We are quick to define who, how, and what we see. When we touch who
we see – having defined the person in that moment – we have not truly
seen the person in their full presence of being. Thus, we limit the
moment of self recognition for both ourselves and them.
What would happen if we were to touch someone with fewer expectations
and preconceived notions? If we were to withhold definition and allow
more of the person to show up, how might that change our touch and the
experience of being touched?
This workshop explores deeper ways of working with professional touch.
We look at how withholding definition can allow us to touch the potential
of a person, rather than working with the intention of correcting a habit.
When Tuesday, 21 October, 10 am – 1 pm & 3 pm – 6 pm Wednesday,
22 October, 10 am – 1 pm & 3 pm – 6 pm
Where - Location: The workshop will be held in the beautiful training
centre run by Gilles Estran in Abzac in the heart of the Bordeaux
countryside near the grand vineyards of Bordeaux (St. Emilion, Lussac,
Pomerol). The property has its own simple accommodation for
participants (10 maximum).
Cost 180€ for the two day workshop.
Early bird price – 160€ if you register before September 21, 2014 100€ for one day
Accommodation: There are a limited number of spaces for
participants to have accommodation and all meals right at the workshop
venue for a very reasonable €20 per day. Contact the organizer to reserve

Evolving and teaching the Alexander work for today's world
WHO IS IT FOR?
Open to any Alexander Technique teachers and trainees,
or long-time Alexander students.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The principles of the Alexander Technique are true to the
extent that they do actually match our nature — our
underlying wholeness, our tendency to get stuck in
unconstructive habits, and our capabilities for change and getting
back in touch with ourselves.
Alexander was clear that he had made a solid beginning, but did
not have all the answers... and that, hopefully, others would
come after him, and take the work further.
This is not about figuring out the past, but about getting better at
the future !
While our underlying human nature has not changed in the last
hundred years since Alexander developed his work, our
understanding of ourselves sure has changed, becoming
clearer and more useful. The ways we get this profound
learning across to others has also evolved, becoming more
effective as well as easier and quicker to learn.
David Gorman brings over 35 years of his experience,
innovative teaching and research to these 3 days.

DE QUOI S'AGIT IL ?
Les principes de la Technique Alexander sont réels et
puissants dans la mesure où ils correspondent en fait à
notre nature - notre intégrité sous-jacente, notre tendance à
nous coincer dans des habitudes non constructives, et nos
capacités pour changer et reprendre contact avec nous-mêmes.
Alexander savait qu’il avait construit une base solide, mais qu’il
n’avait pas toutes les réponses…. et que, heureusement,
d’autres viendraient après lui, et prolongeraient son
travail..
Il ne s’agit pas d’expliquer le passé, mais d’améliorer le futur !
Bien que notre nature humaine n'ait pas changé depuis le dernier
siècle durant lequel Alexander a développé son travail, notre
compréhension de nous-mêmes a changé, devenant plus
claire et plus utile. Les façons d’accéder à cet apprentissage
profond à travers les autres a également évolué, devenant
plus efficace ainsi que plus facile et plus rapide à apprendre.
Dans ce stage, David Gorman apporte ses 35 années
d’expérience, d’enseignement innovant et de recherche.

Localisation :
Le stage se déroulera dans le très joli centre de formation dirigé par
Gilles Estran à Abzac proche des grands vignobles Bordelais tel que
St Emilion, Lussac et Pomerol. Le lieu propose une possibilité
d'hébergement commun confortable.
Tarifs :
Inscription pour le stage de 3 jours : Le forfait est de 270€.
Tarif préférentiel – 250€ si inscription avant le 28 September 2014
Inscription partielle : Dans la mesure des places disponibles, vous
pourrez vous inscrire pour 1 ou 2 jours à 100€ la journée.
Hébergement : Il y a un nombre limité de places d'hébergement en
commun avec tous les repas sur le lieu du stage pour un prix très
raisonnable de 20€ par jour. Vous pouvez nous contacter pour avoir
