Molecular Biology
Molecular Biology Laboratory. Students practice resolving problems on
the basic knowledge of DNA structure, replication, transcription, and
genetic engineering.
Scientific communication
Different types of scientific communication. Lectures and
laboratory on the major scientific communication tools and ways to
better contribute to the scientific community and behind.
Scientific English
Reading scientific literature. Lectures and laboratory classes where
students learn how to critically read a scientific paper and reformulate
in English in their own words the important(s) aspect(s) of the paper.
ECOTROP
Field course. A Graduate field course that takes place every spring in
Lopé national park, Gabon. Students have several seminars and
practical research experience in conservation biology, remote sensing,
entomology, paleoecology, ecology and health, and sociology.

Research tools in biological sciences. A class with laboratory
specifically designed to introduce students to research methods in
biological sciences.

Biodiversity Laboratory. An undergraduate laboratory that exposes
students to representatives of the various Class, Phylum, and /or
Kingdom. Additionally, differences in meiosis/mitosis, Reproduction,
Evolution, Mendelian genetics and the scientific method are also
explained.

that presents microscopy, major animal and plant classes, Evolution,
and Conservation to students.
