1959 Graves Classification
When the 1855 classification was established, only Château Haut-Brion had been included. It obviously enraged
many producers and they finally agreed to elaborate a classification for the wines of Graves. It was created in 1953
and ratified in 1959. It is important to note that they selected châteaux only for their red or white wines.
