REAR ADMIRAL MOHAMED LAGHMARI
Inspector of Royal Moroccan Navy
Born in Tahala province of TAZA in 1948, Rear-Admiral MOHAMED LAGHMARI graduates
from the French navy school in Brest in 1969.
NAVY CAREER:
After completing his basic training on board the French helicopter carrier "Jeanne d'Arc" as
junior officer, Rear-Admiral MOHAMED LAGHMARI embarked as executive officer of the patrol
boat "AL BACHIR".
In 1971, he was designated commanding officer of the patrol ship "ESSABIQ", then
commanding officer of the landing ship "Lt MALGHAGH" in 1973.
In 1977 he attends the "Telecommunications" course in France and was designated
commanding officer of the coastal escort ship "Lt RIFI" in 1978.
In 1980, he was designated commanding officer of the landing ship BATRAL class "ABOU
ABDELLAH AL AYACHI".In 1982, he was appointed as commanding officer of the 3rd Naval Base
(Dakhla) then in 1986, he assumed the commanding officer of duties of the corvette discubierta
class "Lt Col ARRAHMANI”.
In 1990, he attended the Naval War College in New port Rhode Island in USA.
In 1991, he was appointed chief of the Detection and telecommunications division and chief
of the Supply and Program division at the Royal Moroccan Navy Head Quarters in 2003.
In 2004, he was appointed as chief of the First Bureau of the General Armed Forces Head
Quarters were he served till his appointment as Inspector of the Royal Moroccan Navy on the 13th
of June 2010.
