BIOGRAPHY
BIOGRAPHIE
Phillipe Raphanel was born in Paris,
France. In 1978, he graduated from the
Ecole Nationale Supèrieure des Arts
Appliquès, Paris, France and received a
diploma in Fine Arts. He immigrated to
Canada in 1981 and has since exhibited
his work across Canada and in the United
States, South Korea and Australia. He has
received numerous Canada Council
grants and was also awarded the
prestigious VIVA award in 1996. He taught
Philippe Raphanel est né à Paris, France.
En 1978, il est diplômé à l'Ecole Nationale
Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et a reçu
un diplôme en beaux-arts. Il a immigré au
Canada en 1981 et a depuis exposé ses
œuvres au Canada, aux États-Unis, en
Corée du Sud et en Australie. Il a reçu de
nombreuses subventions du Conseil des
Arts du Canada et a aussi reçu le
prestigieux prix VIVA en 1996. Il a
enseigné à l'Université Simon Fraser et est
enseignant à l'Emily Carr University of Art

BIOGRAFIA
Phillipe Raphanel nasceu em Paris, França. Em 1978, graduou-se na École Nationale Supérieure
des Arts Appliqués, Paris, França e recebeu um diploma em Belas Artes. Ele imigrou para o
Canadá em 1981 e desde então tem participado em exposições no Canadá, Estados Unidos,
Coréia do Sul e Austrália. Ele recebeu várias bolsas no Canadá e também foi premiado com o
prestigioso Prêmio VIVA em 1996. Ele lecionou na Universidade Simon Fraser e ensinar na Emily
Carr University of Art & Design, desde 1993. Raphanel é representado pela Galeria Equinox em
Vancouver. Atualmente mora e trabalhaem Vancouver, BC e em Brasília, Brasil.
