Dear Listeners,
Since as long ago as 1972, our broadcast bulletin has been
bringing you news and information about the broadcasts of
Vatican Radio in hard copy format, sent by traditional surface
mail. This was the way in which we shared with you the salient
moments of the life of our station and we introduced you to
the faces that correspond to the familiar voices you’ve heard
over the airwaves.
Now, as we all know, times have changed and communication
via electronic platforms is taking the place of hardcopy communication, because it is quicker and saves printing and postal
costs. Therefore, this is the last issue of Radio Vaticana
Programmes in the familiar format you were used to up
to now. As you already know, Vatican Radio has been featuring an important website for many years now –
www.radiovaticana.va – where you can find information in
forty languages, corresponding to the programmes broadcast.
But surely many of you today have a personal e-mail address, or one at the office or institution where you work.
We cordially invite you to let us have your e-mail address
as soon as possible, so that we can continue to send you
the new electronic format of the Vatican Radio information
and contact Bulletin that we are preparing. We will try in fact
to keep in touch with you, and continue to inform you of the
more significant novelties in the life and mission of our – and
your – Station.
If it is not at all possible for you to access an e-mail and
you consider it very important to continue to receive Vatican
Radio information via surface mail, we kindly ask you to
write us and let us know, so we can see how we can continue to respond to your request.

Queridos lectores,
Desde el lejano 1972 nuestro Boletín les ha llevado noticias e informaciones sobre las transmisiones de Radio Vaticana llegando
a ustedes en la clásica forma de papel, expedido por el correo
tradicional.
Ha sido éste el modo en el cual hemos compartido con ustedes
los momentos importantes de la vida de nuestra Emisora y les
hemos hecho conocer los rostros que correspondían a las voces a
ustedes familiares a través de las ondas de radio.
Ahora, como todos sabemos, los tiempos cambian y la comunicación por correo electrónico va sustituyendo cada vez más los papeles , debido a su mayor tempestividad y también al ahorro de
los costes de impresión y postales. Éste será pues, el último número de Radio Vaticana Programmes en la forma en la que les
era familiar hasta hoy.
Como ya saben, la Radio Vaticana dispone desde hace años de un
importante sitio Web – www.radiovaticana.va – en el cual se
puede encontrar información sobre horarios y frecuencias de las
transmisiones, además de una vastísima oferta de información en
cuarenta idiomas, correspondientes a los programas transmitidos.
Pero ciertamente muchos de ustedes poseen hoy una dirección email personal o de la oficina o de la institución en la cual trabajan. Por eso los invitamos cordialmente a comunicarnos lo antes
posible su dirección de correo electrónico para poder seguir enviándoles la nueva forma electrónica del Boletín de informaciones
y de contacto de la Radio Vaticana que estamos proyectando.
Trataremos en efecto de no perder el contacto con ustedes, sino de
continuar a hacerles conocer la información y las novedades más
significativas de la vida y del trabajo de nuestra y de su Emisora.

Depuis 1972, notre Bulletin vous a apporté des nouvelles et des informations sur les émissions de Radio Vatican, vous arrivant en format papier expédié par courrier postal. C’est de cette manière que
nous avons partagé avec vous les moments importants de la vie de
notre Station et vous avons fait connaître les visages de tant de
personnes dont les voix vous étaient devenues familières à travers
les ondes de la radio.
Aujourd’hui, comme nous le savons tous, les temps changent et la communication par voie électronique prend toujours plus le pas sur la communication papier, pour des questions de plus grande rapidité mais aussi
d’économie des coûts d’impression et des frais postaux. Ce numéro de
Radio Vaticana Programmes sera donc le dernier dans la forme
que vous connaissiez jusqu’à maintenant.
Comme vous le savez déjà, Radio Vatican dispose depuis des années
d’un important Site Internet – www.radiovaticana.va – où vous pouvez trouver des informations sur les horaires et les fréquences des émissions, ainsi qu’un choix très vaste d’informations en quarante langues,
qui correspondent aux programmes diffusés.
Beaucoup d’entre vous, certainement, possèdent à présent une adresse
e-mail personnelle ou professionnelle, ou encore de l’institution
où ils travaillent. Nous vous invitons ainsi cordialement à nous faire

adio Vatican offre ses premières Applications (App)
pour
Android
et
iPhone/iPad. Elles ont une forte
empreinte multimédia et offrent
une écoute en direct sur cinq chaînes Radio, des vidéos en direct des
célébrations papales, des pages
web, des reportages, rassemblés
en un unique instrument, qui permet
aussi de connaître et de suivre les
rendez-vous quotidiens du Pape.
Les deux App, entièrement gratuites, peuvent être téléchargées pour
Android sur Google Play, à l’adresse : http://rv.va/android
pour iPhone/iPad sur iTunes Store,
à l’adresse : http://rv.va/iphone
Ces applications de Radio Vatican
seront bientôt complétées par une
version compatible avec Windows
Phone.
L’application s’ouvre sur l’Agenda
des activités du Pape (disponible,
dans cette première version, en italien, anglais, français, espagnol et
chinois). Grâce à un système conçu
et réalisé par Radio Vatican, le Vatican Tic, à chaque activité sont reliés tous les articles et les contenus
audio produits dans cette langue,
et également par les 39 autres rédactions linguistiques de Radio Vatican. En outre, l’Agenda est
constamment mis à jour sur les retransmissions audio et vidéo en direct des célébrations du Pape,
produites en collaboration avec le
Centre de Télévision du Vatican.
De la même manière, il est possible
de lire les textes des discours prononcés par le Pape et publiés par
le site du Vatican :

L’App offre en outre un service de
News, avec les dernières infos de
RV sur les principaux évènements
d’actualité dans le monde et dans

de 70 programmes quotidiens
dans les 40 langues de RV.
L’App pour Android est disponible

supérieure ; et pour voir le streaming vidéo des évènements en direct il est nécessaire d’avoir la

primeras Apps para Android
y iPhone/iPad. Tienen una
fuerte impronta multimedial y ofrecen la escucha en directo de sus
cinco canales Radio, directas vídeo
de las celebraciones papales, páginas Web, servicios periodísticos,
todos en un único instrumento, que
permite también conocer y seguir
las citas cotidianas del Papa.
Las dos App, enteramente gratuitas,
son descargables para Android del
Market Google Play, en el siguiente

para Iphone/iPad de iTunes, en:

La oferta de App por parte de
Radio Vaticano prevé, a breve,
también una para Windows Phone.
La aplicación se abre en la Agenda
de las citas públicas del Papa
(disponibles, en esta primera versión , en italiano, inglés, francés, español y chino). Gracias a un
sistema ideado y producido por RV,
el Vatican TIC, a cada cita del
Papa son conectados todos los
artículos y contenidos audio producidos en esa lengua, y también
de las treinta y nueve redacciones
lingüísticas de RV.
Además, la Agenda es constantemente actualizada sobre las transmisiones en directo audio y vídeo
de las celebraciones del Papa, producidas en colaboración con el
Centro Televisivo Vaticano.

its first Apps for Android
and iPhone/iPad. A strong
multimedia approach offers livelistening on five radio channels,
live videos of papal celebrations,
web pages, journalistic reports, all
enclosed in one instrument that
also allows one to keep abreast
of the Pope’s daily engagements.
The two Apps, entirely free of
charge, can be downloaded for
Android from the Google Play
address:

Vatican Radio’s APP offer foresees shortly also one for Windows
Phone.
The application opens on the
Agenda of the Pope’s public appointments (available, in this first

Important promotional contacts
in S p a n ish
he Office for the Promotion of Programmes in the Spanish
language is building up contacts with some important radios
that rebroadcast Vatican Radio.
At the invitation of Radio Paz of the Archdiocese of Miami, in September 2012 we visited this Radio which has a large following
among Spanish residents in Florida, among whom the largest community of Cubans outside the island. On this occasion we also visited the Catholic Radio Station EWTN in Alabama, with a
potential worldwide audience of 600 million people, and Radio
Inmaculada in Atlanta, founded by a Catholic family. In October,
the Office presented the technological and organizational developments of Vatican Radio, as producer of all its multilingual contents, at the Fifth World Congress of Radio Maria in Perugia,
where among the 70 nations represented, 17 rebroadcast the
Pope’s voice in Spanish, together with seven other Radios in the
United States of America.
For over 20 years this Office has promoted, maintained and reinforced the ties of cooperation between the Pope’s radio and numerous other stations, with a page dedicated to promotion on the
Vatican Radio website; with the construction of a database of the
stations that rebroadcast our programmes; with a weekly programme dedicated to them entitled “The chain of friendship”; also
through daily contacts by mail, email and telephone; and finally
with a weekly bulletin that reaches a broad mailing list.It is above
all through travel and contacts with their home offices that the stations that rebroadcast our programmes become ever more aware
of the importance, the informative and cultural value of belonging to a big family, that of the Pope’s Radio.

Promoción en Español
a Oficina de Promoción de Programas en Español intensifica
sus contactos con importantes Emisoras que retransmiten Radio
Vaticana. Por invitación de Radio Paz de la Arquidiócesis de
Miami, se visitó en setiembre de 2012 esta Emisora que cubre una
amplísima audiencia de hispanos en Florida, USA; entre ellos la comunidad más grande de cubanos fuera de la Isla. En esta ocasión
se visitó también EWTN Radio Católica Mundial, en Alabama, con
una audiencia potencial de 600 millones de personas en el mundo
y Radio Inmaculada, en Atlanta, Emisora nacida en el seno de una
familia católica. En octubre la misma Oficina presentó el actual desarrollo tecnológico y organizacional de Radio Vaticana como Productora de contenidos en todas sus lenguas, en el V Congreso de la
Familia Mundial de Radio María, en Perugia, Italia, donde de las 70
naciones representadas, 17 retransmiten en lengua española La Voz
del Papa, con otras 7 Emisoras en USA que retransmiten también en
español.
Desde hace cerca de 20 años esta Oficina genera, mantiene y refuerza la cooperación y el vínculo entre la Emisora del Papa y numerosas Radios, mediante un espacio de Promoción en el sitio Web;
la construcción de una base de datos de Emisoras; un programa Radial semanal dedicado exclusivamente a ellas llamado Cadena de
Amistad; a través del contacto cotidiano por correo postal y electrónico y teléfono; y con el boletín semanal, que llega a una lista más
amplia de contactos. Especialmente con los viajes y el contacto en sus
sedes, con la Radios que retransmiten la Voz del Papa, se comprueba
la conciencia que estas Emisoras tienen de la importancia y el valor
noticioso y el sentido de familia que genera La Voz del Papa.

l’archidiocèse de Miami, nous avons visité en septembre 2012
cette station qui est très suivie par les communautés hispaniques
résidant en Floride, notamment la plus grande communauté cubaine à l’étranger. A cette occasion toujours, nous avons visité aussi

Radio Inmaculada à Atlanta, fondée par une famille catholique.

aux USA. Depuis presque 20 ans, ce Bureau promeut, maintient et
renforce les liens de coopération entre la Radio du Pape et de
nombreuses autres Stations, avec une page consacrée à la Promotion sur le site Web RV ; avec la construction d’une base de
données des Radios qui nous retransmettent ; avec un programme
hebdomadaire qui leur est exclusivement consacré, intitulé « La
chaîne de l’amitié » ; par un contact quotidien par courrier, email
et téléphone ; et pour finir avec le bulletin hebdomadaire qui
porte à une mailing list encore plus fournie. C’est surtout par les
voyages et les contacts sur place que se renforce dans les Stations
qui nous retransmettent la conviction de l’importance de la valeur
informative et culturelle et du sens d’appartenance à une grande
famille, celle de la Radio du Pape.
