Did you know?
Célèbre par ses usines d’armement, Tulle
se révèle patriotique sous l’occupation
Allemande. Puis, la « Résistante » devient
ville martyre suite à l’attaque d’une
garnison le 9 juin 1944.
Lieu de mémoire, le Champ des Martyrs
rappelle cet épisode.
A town famous for its munitions factories, Tulle
put up a patriotic resistance during the German
occupation. Then, the ‘resistance’ town became
a martyr for the cause following the attack on
one of its garrisons on 9 June 1944. The Champ
des Martyrs stands as a memorial to the event.

La Cathédrale, au cœur médiéval de Tulle abrite des œuvres
spectaculaires : le vitrail du chœur, le mobilier contemporain, les
orgues monumentales, la crypte archéologique.
Installé dans l’aile ouest du cloître, le musée rassemble des collections
variées. Depuis 2011, il privilégie une présentation par roulement de
ses collections sous forme d’expositions temporaires renouvelées
régulièrement.
The cathedral, above the medieval heart of Tulle, contains
spectacular works, such as the chancel stained glass window,
the contemporary furniture, the massive pipe organ and the
archeological crypt.The cloister Museum contains varied
collections. Since 2011, a revolving form of presentation of collections
has been chosen, via regularly renewed temporary exhibitions.

La Manufacture d’Armes a marqué l’histoire de la cité Tulliste.
Le Musée des Armes propose un panorama de l’armement de
fabrications française et étrangère.
The Arms Factory shaped Tulle’s history. On display is a broad range
of weapons made in France and abroad.
Du 1er novembre au 30 avril : ouvert tous les jours sauf le mardi. Ouvert le 1er
dimanche de chaque mois.13h-18h. Du 1er mai au 31 octobre : ouvert tous les
jours sauf le mardi et le 1er dimanche de chaque mois.10h-13h et 14h-18h30.

Pour 6 personnes : 1 kg de pommes de terre, 150 g de lard, 1 persillade, 1 œuf, de la graisse
de canard. / For 6 people; 1 kg potatoes, 150 g bacon, 1 persillade (parsley and garlic
mixture), 1 egg, duck fat.
ETAPES / STEPS
Épluchez les pommes de terre, râpez-les sur une passoire et égouttez-les bien. Hachez
le lard avec la persillade et mélangez avec l’œuf et les pommes de terre râpées. Faites
chauffer la graisse de canard et versez votre millassou en prenant soin de former une
grosse crêpe bien épaisse et régulière. Laissez cuire une vingtaine de minutes, retournez-la
et laissez cuire encore vingt minutes à feu doux. Accompagnez d’une salade verte ou en
garniture d’une viande.
