Gear list for the Prologue
Mandatory gear
Per team:
•
one graduated compass
•
one loaded mobile phone(to use in case of emergency) in a waterproof pouch (in case of rain)
•
one bike pump (see bike characteristics on page 2), tire levers, puncture repair kit, a cycling multi
tool and a chain tool (to repair bikes during the race)
•
one whistle
•
•
one first aid kit(containing disinfecting spray, compresses, adhesive tape…)
one yellow safety vest and 3 reflective armbands or other reflective equipment you can wear
during the race.
Per contestant:
•
one backpack to carry food, water and material during the race
•
biking gloves
•
trail running shoes
•
warm clothes and rain gear
•
canteen or camel back
•
one headlamp with extra batteries (for Friday night)
•
eyeglasses if wearing contact lenses
For accommodations on Friday camp (this material will be transported by the staff):

one tag per bag that shows your team number
change for the night and for Saturday (take two running trail shoes for Friday and Saturday, and
one pair of slippers to wear in the gym)

Bicycle characteristics
All the provided mountain bikes have equivalent characteristics. They all have a bottle cage.
Our supplier, Cyclotrott, provides one spare air chamber per team. However, for the S, M or L size
bikes, the chambers are Schrader type 26’’, whereas for XL bikes, they are 29’’ type presta.
Furthermore, the repair kits will only be provider in specific cases (there won’t be enough for
everyone), so please bring along the material stated above.
