Candidates must possess strong knowledge and interest in Moroccan politics and be able to operate in a fast-paced environment. A university degree, fluency in English, French and Arabic, as well as Moroccan citizenship is required. Amazigh language skills are also a benefit. Job Summary Every employee of IRI is responsible for carrying out the Mission of IRI, and demonstrating the core values in their day to day operations. The Program Assistant (PA) is the entry level position at IRI. As a junior member of the team, the Program Assistant will provide administrative and programmatic support for current and developing programs in Morocco. The PA will collaborate closely with the Office Manager/Accountant, the Program Officers and the Program Coordinators on IRI’s programs from both an organizational and financial standpoint. The PA must have strong organizational skills. The PA will be evaluated based on his/her ability to carry out functions in a satisfactory way and on his/her contribution to a positive working atmosphere in the office. An additional measure will be his/her ability to operate in a team environment and support positive growth, both programmatically and personally, with colleagues. The job duties of the Program Assistant includes, but is not limited, to the following: Assists with managing and preparing budgets and financial reports. Drafts contracts and assists with oversight of contractual obligations. Prepares accounting reconciliations for trainers and consultants. Assists with the implementation of all IRI programs in Morocco. Assists with monitoring, reporting and analyzing political developments in Morocco, especially as they relate to IRI objectives and activities. Updates databases, program summaries, and weekly reports. Assists with logistics and attends IRI trainings and workshops. Performs basic office upkeep in coordination with the Office Manager/Accountant, including: stock office supplies, assist with clerical duties (copying, faxing) and perform general reception duties – answering phone, greeting visitors, etc. Other duties as assigned or deemed necessary. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Political Science, International Relations or related field. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communications skills in Arabic, French and English. Amazigh facility also desired. Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Willingness to acquire new skills and knowledge required for the job. Willingness to travel internally in Morocco.
