Prepared a PhD on "Thermomechanical Heat Treatments applied to steels (Ausforming) and a Theory of Precipitation Hardening in Ni base Superalloys". Named Research Group Leader for High Strength Steels in 1969. Appointed "Maître de Recherches" in 1971.
