Einstecken/Entnehmen von Speicherkarten
Stecken Sie eine Speicherkarte korrekt in den Einschub des USB-Kartenlesers; nur
eine Orientierung ist richtig.
Wenden Sie beim Einstecken keine Gewalt an!
Wenn Lese-/Schreibzugriffe auf die Speicherkarte erfolgen, so warten Sie, bis diese abgeschlossen sind. Ziehen Sie erst danach die Speicherkarte heraus.
Wird die Speicherkarte während einem Lese-/Schreibzugriff herausgezogen, so
können die Daten auf der Speicherkarte beschädigt werden, möglicherweise ist
danach sogar eine neue Formatierung der Speicherkarte erforderlich.
Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
An- und Abstecken des USB-Kartenlesers
Das Produkt kann an einen USB-Port eines PCs angeschlossen werden und dient
dort zum Lesen und Beschreiben von Speicherkarten im CompactFlash-Format.
Entnehmen Sie vor einem An- bzw. Abstecken des USB-Kartenlesers eine evtl. eingesetzte Speicherkarte; ansonsten können Daten auf der Speicherkarte beschädigt
werden.

Der USB-Kartenleser wird wie ein herkömmliches Wechseldatenträger-Laufwerk
eingebunden. Ein zusätzlicher Laufwerksbuchstabe wird von Windows automatisch
vergeben.
Im Datei-Explorer können Sie nun die Daten auf der Speicherkarte auslesen (oder
Daten auf die Speicherkarte speichern), genauso wie von Festplatte oder
Diskettenlaufwerk.
Verzeichnis-Strukturen auf der Speicherkarte sollten Sie jedoch nicht löschen, da
sie sonst in MP3-Player, Kamera, PDA usw. wieder formatiert werden muss.

Tipps & Hinweise
Stecken Sie den USB-Kartenleser in einen freien USB-Port Ihres PCs ein. Verwenden
Sie ggf. das mitgelieferte Verlängerungskabel, wenn der USB-Port an einer unzugänglichen Stelle liegt.
Bei der Verwendung einer CompactFlash-Festplatte ist ein High-Power-USB-Port
erforderlich; dies ist ein USB-Port, der einen Strom von 500mA liefern kann (z.B. der
USB-Port eines Motherboards oder USB-Hubs mit Netzteil).

Inserting/Removing Memory Cards
Put a memory card correctly into the insert of the USB-card reader; only one orientation is correct.
Do not force the card into the insert!
If there are reading or writing accesses in process on the memory card wait until
they are completed. Only then pull out the memory card.
If the memory card is pulled out during a reading or writing access the data on the
memory card might be damaged, it might even become necessary to format the
memory card once more.

Plugging in and Disconnecting the USB-Card Reader
Prescribed Use
The product may be connected to an USB-port of a PC and serves for reading and
writing memory cards in the CompactFlash format.

Remove the inserted memory card, if any, prior to plugging in or disconnecting the
USB-card reader; otherwise the data stored on the memory card may be damaged.
Reading out/Writing on Memory Cards
The USB-card reader is integrated like a conventional running carriage for
exchangeable data carrier. An additional letter for a running carriage is automatically assigned by Windows.
In the file explorer you may now read out data on the memory card (or store data on
the memory card) like you do with a hard disk or a diskette running carriage.
The structure of the dictionaries on the memory card, however, should not be
changed as otherwise they have to be formatted again when used in a MP3-player,
camera, PDA, etc.
Tips & Notes
When using a CompactFlash hard disk a High-Power-USB-port is necessary, this is
a USB-port which is able to supply current of 500mA (e.g. USB-port of a motherboard or USB-hub with mains unit).
Connection
Plug the USB-card reader into a free USB-port of your PC. If the USB-port is positioned at an inaccessible spot use the supplied extension cord.
Software Installation
With Windows ME or XP the drivers are included in the system, the supplied driverCD is not required! Follow all instructions of Windows ME/XP.
With Windows 98 or Windows 98SE insert the supplied driver-CD in the CD-ROMrunning carriage. The driver is in the folder "Mini CF Reader".

Attendez avant de retirer la carte mémoire que tous les échanges de données (lecture/enregistrement) soient bien terminés. Enlevez la carte mémoire seulement
après. Si vous enlevez la carte pendant la lecture / l’enregistrement, vous risquez
d’endommager les données contenues par la carte mémoire et même qu’il faille reformater celle-ci à nouveau.
Connexion/déconnexion du lecteur de carte USB
Avant toute connexion / déconnexion du lecteur de carte USB, veuillez retirer toute
carte mémoire s’y trouvant encore, sinon vous risquez d’endommager les données
qu’elle contient.
Utilisation prévue
Lecture / enregistrement de cartes mémoire
Le présent produit est prévu pour être connecté à un port USB de micro-ordinateur
et permet la lecture de et la mémorisation sur des cartes mémoires de format
Compact flash.
Le présent lecteur de cartes USB est reconnu comme un lecteur échangeur de données ordinaire. Une lettre de reconnaissance est affectée automatiquement.
Dans le programme de recherche des fichiers (Explorer), vous pouvez maintenant
lire les données se trouvant sur la carte mémoire (ou enregistrer des données sur
celle-ci), de la même manière que sur le disque dur ou sur le lecteur de disquettes.
Il est cependant préférable de ne pas effacer les structures de répertoire de la carte mémoire, car autrement elle devra être reformatée sur le lecteur MP3, le caméscope, l’assistant personnel etc.

Trucs & astuces
Pour l’utilisation d’un disque dur Compact flash, un port USB High-Power est nécessaire ; il s’agit d’un port USB pouvant fournir un courant de 500mA (par ex. le port
USB d’une carte mère ou d’un hub USB avec bloc d’alimentation).
Branchement
Introduisez le lecteur de carte USB dans un port USB libre de votre micro-ordinateur.
Utilisez le cas échéant le câble de rallonge joint si le port USB se trouve à un endroit difficilement accessible.
Installation du logiciel
Dans Windows ME ou XP, les pilotes sont déjà intégrés au système et le CD pilote
joint est inutile ! Suivez toutes les instructions données par Windows ME/XP.
Pour Windows 98 ou Windows 98SE, mettez le CD pilote dans votre lecteur de cédéroms (répertoire "Mini CF Reader").
Enficher/enlever les cartes mémoires
Introduisez la carte mémoire en faisant attention à la bonne orientation dans l’enfichage du lecteur de carte USB ; une seule orientation est correcte.
Ne forcez pas en introduisant la carte !
