The D5 Series chassis is a high perform ance design in a low cost 3U rackm ount enclosure. The D5 Series is a
solid, robust design w hich will m eet
t he m ost rigorous and dem anding requirem ent s. This chassis is com plex in
design and is ideal for dat a and processing int ensive applicat ions.
The enclosure is const ruct ed of 18
gauge st eel, clear zinc plat ed for corrosion prot ect ion and an at t ract ive appearance. The front panel is at t ract ively det ailed and is of heavier gauge
t han t he chassis.
There is a huge am ount of drive st orage wit h t he provided t welve hot swap
drive carriers. Up t o 9 Terabyt es of
drive st orage can be accom m odat ed.
Models for I DE, SATA and SCSI drives
are available. Also provided are drive
bays for a slim CD/ DVD and slim
floppy drive. Two int ernal 2- 1/ 2" drives
can be m ount ed for operat ing syst em
support .
A full widt h door covers and prot ect s
t he drives and cont rols. Accessible
behind t he door is t he power and reset swit ches. The drive and alarm
LED's are viewable t hrough t he door.
Cooling is provided by four 51CFM hot
swap fans m ount ed m id- chassis plus
one 23CFM exhaust fan. There is a
full widt h air filt er m ount ed on t he
door. Also provided is a t herm al alarm
syst em t o m onit or int ernal chassis
t em perat ure and fan operat ion. Ot her
fan opt ions are available
The D5 Chassis provides for m ount ing
a st andard EATX m ot herboard up t o
12 x 13 inches. Seven plug- in cards
can be inst alled.
Power is provided by a rear m ount ed
2U or 3U st yle power supply. Several
power opt ions are available including
DC operat ion and redundant operat ion.
