Candidates who may not have the required academic background but who have appropriate work experience are encouraged to apply. Course Overview: This degree covers four Fields of Study called “Unité d’Enseignements”, namely “Formation Générale”, “Formation Scientifique et Technique”, “Formation Technologique” and “Formation Professionnelle” Career Prospects It is expected that the demand for graduates with maintenance skills will grow rapidly in the coming years and decades as existing structures get old. However, as modern management of civil engineering structures includes regular inspections, checkups and evaluations of the structures for both curative and preventive maintenance, these specialised professionals of maintenance will be necessary to maintain the state of the structures while assuring security of properties, people and environment and conforming to laws and standards. Graduates may obtain employment as Maintenance Manager/Officer or Chief Maintenance Technician in private, parastatal and government bodies. Mode: Full Time (1 year) & Part Time (1.5 years) Teaching Methods Teaching and learning takes place through lectures, tutorials, study of projects, laboratory work, individual and group, seminars and industrial placement. Students are expected to spend a considerable amount of time on private independent study. Even though the main medium of instruction will be French, some modules will be taught in English. Some parts of the dissertation may also be written in English. Our aim is to train bilingual professionals who will have a definite advantage in today’s competitive and globalised job market. Fees Full Time: Rs 45,500 per year Part Time: Rs 90,000 in 3 installments of Rs30,000 Location This course will be run only at the Rose-Hill campus.
