Biographie
Eric Michael Laviolette est Professeur d’entrepreneuriat et de stratégie. Ses recherches
s’appuient sur les théories des ressources, des capacités dynamiques et des réseaux pour
expliquer pourquoi et comment les individus créent and développent des nouvelles activités à
partir (et entre) les organisations établies au sein de systèmes socio-économiques plus larges.
Il a vingt publications sur les thèmes suivants : l’essaimage, les compétences
entrepreneuriales, les modèles de rôles et l’auto efficacité entrepreneuriale ainsi que les
clusters en tant qu’institutions. Ses enseignements tant en anglais qu’en français portent
principalement sur la création d’entreprise, la croissance entrepreneuriale et la stratégie des
jeunes et petites entreprises. Il a aussi été responsable et coordinateur pédagogique de
plusieurs programmes et spécialisations dont le MSC in International Business Development
& Consulting, programme de double diplôme au sein d’un consortium IBSA de 7 universités.
