Our group belongs to the ESTeam Laboratory - UMR-S935 together with two other teams working respectively on
circadian rhythms/chronotherapy and tetraspanin biology. We are located in Villejuif, 5km far from Paris, in a
scientific-rich environment, close to the Gustave Roussy Institute and 20-minutes far from most of the Parisian
scientific research institutes like Institut Curie and Pasteur. Our laboratory is part of the INGESTEM Investissement
d'Avenir from the French Ministry of Science and Education to develop cellular models of pathology using the
induced pluripotent stem cells technology. We are also supported by French and European grants and from French
patients' societies supporting cancer research. Project management will be held by Dr Hervé Acloque, a young
Principal Investigator, with a strong expertise in EMT and stem cell biology and Pr. Ali Turhan, a senior team leader
with strong background in adult stem cells biology. All technical facilities (cell sorting, imaging, NGS...) are in close
vicinity of the laboratory.

We are searching for a highly motivated and open-minded young scientist to join our research group dedicated to
Stem Cell Biology and Stem Cell Models in Cancer and Physiology.
Our research topics : Research in our group are focused on normal and malignant haematopoiesis and on the
biology and relevancy of cancer stem cells in human solid tumors. To this end we employ innovative systems such as
patient-derived / Specific induced pluripotent stem cell lines (iPSCs), mouse knock-out lines and mouse models for
human diseases.
Post-doctoral project :
"Elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying stemness in breast cancer cells. Original strategies will be
proposed and discussed with the candidate. "Performing a High-Throughput functional screening of
Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition inhibitors and activators using a library of natural compounds.
Start : preferably Summer 2015 Duration : 24 months Salary : 2600Euros/month before national insurance
contributions (around 2100Euros/month after)
Skills and Experience We expect you to be a highly motivated and open-minded scientist with the following
qualifications : "A PhD in Life Sciences "Strong documented research experience in either stem cell biology, cellular
biology or cancer biology. "Candidates with combined experiences are particularly encouraged to apply. "Strong
molecular biology background and/or experience with bioinformatics processing of NGS/micro-array datasets is an
advantage. "Good English skills written and spoken
