Suspected militants attack AMISOM army base in Mogadishu
A Heavily fortified base belonging to AMISOM in Mogadishu is reported to have been
attacked by suspected Al Shabaab militants on Saturday midnight. The attack which
took place at AMISOM’s camp in Masalaha area, has triggered one and half hours-long
direct gunfire between AU soldiers and the attackers.

Well-known Businessman shot in northern Galkayo
Armed groups have shot and killed a prominent businessman in the volatile divided city
of Galkayo in Somalia’s Galgadud province on Sunday mid night. The slain
businessman who was identified as Omar Dhere has been shot dead as he left a mosque
in northern Galkayo by man armed with pistol after evening prayers.
