Parc X trio
Parc X trio, a Montreal-based instrumental jazz trio, winners of the TD Grand Prize for
Jazz at Montréal International Jazz Festival in 2010, is composed of Gabriel VinuelaPelletier (piano and compositions), Alex Lefaivre (bass and compositions) and Alain
Bourgeois (drums). The trio, known for its high energy live performances as well as its
charisma on stage, released four records between 2009 and 2013. They toured across
Canada, USA and Europe in 2013 to present music from their latest electric trio
release Parc X trio (3). This project reinvents the trio's sound by bringing in vintage
electric keyboard, electric bass and various effects into the mix. The sound is raw with
no overdubs or edits and reflects Parc X trio's refined passion and stunning musicality.
Parc X trio has found its own unique voice in the contemporary jazz world with a sound
heavily influenced by rock, urban beats and pop style melodies.
