The Desierto 3 fairing was originally
designed for the R1200GS Boxer.
Many years of positive feedback from our
Desierto 3 customers encouraged us to make
this fresh and dynamic look available for our
BMW R1150 GS / Adventure customers.
The toned screen can be completely adjusted to
the riders personal preferences.
The windscreens height, inclination as well as the
distance from the fairing can be adjusted quick
and efficient with a standard size 10 spanner to
suit any situation. Airflow on both sides of the
windscreen minimises turbulences coming
from the edge of the screen, practically
eliminating buffering and annoying wind
noise.

It doesn‘t have to be a complete Desierto II refit but
when you fancy having a new cockpit or because of
your Roadbook tours a road book holder is

cockpit conversion.

Hard part LA - steering stop
R 1150 GS / Adventure
The steering stop of the R1150 GS can break from
a heavy fall: In case of extreme stress on the handlebars or front wheel, the steering stop can break
off, sometimes damaging the frame stop as well
and the fork legs. The fork may also damage the
tank leaving ugly dents. The 1150 brake line can be
caught between the fork leg and telelver and is likely
to get damaged. If so, forget about riding home. The
hard part LA for R1150GS comes with a brake line
support, too. The SilverLine matches BMW silver with
clear coat.

Hard part LA - steering stop

The steering stop is also prone to break after a heavy
fall. In case of extreme stress on the handlebars, the
steering stop breaks.
It is a time-consuming and quite expensive job to
replace the yoke...

The original by the South African inventor!
The cruise control replaces the original handlebar
end weights. The anti-slip knurled screw secures the
accelerator in position. This significantly reduces the
strain on the right hand during long journeys. Thanks
to the continuous adjustment, the accelerator can
also be fixed to decelerate very gently - leaving you
enough time to take your hand off the handlebar for
a moment without immediately losing throttle.
Despite that, the motorbike decelerates in a gentle
and controlled way. This item is illegal in road traffic
in Germany and could be dangerous if used
incorrectly. We are unable to accept any
responsibility for it.

When BMW presented the new R1100GS to the public in 1993, we were convinced that the side panels
had not been available yet. But since then nothing
has happened and the motorcycle continues to be
delivered without side panels. What you see instead
is an ugly brake fluid reservoir and a mass of wires.
Our new side panels solve the problem.
Makes the color scheme of the bike complete by
using BMW-specific original colors to match the rest
of the bike. Easy to mount by simply removing the
seat and snapping into place.

Due to the excellent lumen output of Xenon bulbs, the light emitted reaches further and the illumination of
the road is much better. Also, the light produced by Xenon bulbs more closely resembles the colour of natural daylight, resulting in better visibility, increased comfort, and increased safety in night driving conditions.
High Intensity Discharge lighting uses a Xenon gas bulb to produce the intense white light with an electric
arc. There is no filament; the arc is created by igniting a mixture of inert gas and metal salts with approximately 20,000 volts. Consequently each Xenon lamp includes a transformer unit with a high-voltage cable
and special brackets. Xenon lights produce a much higher luminous flux (3200 Lumen instead of 1500
Lumen) than conventional halogen lights. For more than double the light output it consumes only 35 watts
of electrical power (compared to 55W+).
Compared to halogen bulbs that give off light with a yellow tint, Xenon bulbs produce light with a slight
bluish tint. Better visibility results in greater safety and comfort when driving, especially in bad weather
conditions.
The Xenon headlight kit includes brackets, transformer, cables and relay. There is no switch - the Xenon
lamp is activated automatically with the high beam.
The fog headlight can be fitted as a single light, or in a pair. The wide, low fog beam of the 55W halogen
allows much safer driving when it is raining or snowing. The fog light housing matches our Xenon headlight. The head-lights include a German TÜV Type Approval and need not be registered.

Flash Back LC
Sophisticated upgrade for your BMW indicator system. With the Flash Back LC you will no longer have to
press the indicator reset button. Simply keep the (left or right) indicator button pressed when getting round
turns (more than 0.5 seconds). When releasing the button, the indicator is reset automatically. This is particularly helpful when riding on the motorway or getting around roundabouts.
By pressing the indicator button once shortly, the
indicator will go on as usual and can be decativated
with the reset button. In addition to the above function, you can deactivate the indicator by pressing the
relevant indicator button twice shortly.
A huge gain in comfort!
No expensive installation, no electrical knowledge
necessary. The small unit, fitted with a processor and
other components, is simply placed between the
indicator unit relay connectors.

41 Litre Tank
Our tried and true 41 Liter fuel tank for the R 850/ 1100/1150 GS. Elkamet has manufactured our tank
since 2000 and it is perhaps the toughest tank on the market. It is made of polyamide nylon, a material
developed for it‘s impact resilience, commonly used for modern automotive bumpers. Capacity is 41L but
with the original amount of 22L of fuel it adds only 5kg to the motorcycle, but the fuel rides LOWER on the
motorcycle, increasing stability most of the time, and you don‘t have to keep it full.
But full, you can ride 700 kms (400mi) or more! This true long distance / touring tank gives you OPTIONS
on the road. You can choose your destination with little regard to availability of fuel.
It is supplied unpainted, and it fits the original mounting. The package includes all mounting hardware. The
original BMW filler cap and pump assembly are used. The RID and fuel warning lamp work with the large
tank. A German TÜV Type Approval is included.

significant discomfort creeps in over longer distances. Rider and passenger experience cramps, mysterious backaches, and pains in their knees and coccyx. Worn, aged or sagging foam in the original
seats is often to blame. Once the initially positive characteristics such as seating comfort, elasticity,
optimal hardness and riding position start to deteriorate, it‘s high time for a new seat for the rider and
pillion passenger to restore riding enjoyment! We offer the „better“ seat for the R850GS, R1100GS

The breathable seat offers tremendous advantages over the standard one, especially at high temperatures. It enables the air to circulate inside the seat, which efficiently eliminates perspiration in the seat area.
This in turn helps to prevent the underclothing from sticking and wrinkling. The innovative padding has

These fork protectors give utmost protection to
the stanchion of the telelever forks. Forget about

Öhlins‘ shock absorbers
are the best that you can fit to your motorbike‘s chassis.
We have tested many different shock absorber systems and have come to the conclusion that Öhlins‘
shock absorbers are the first choice. Since then all our motorcycles have been fitted with these shock
absorbers. This refit has improved the chassis considerably (when front and rear match). All Öhlins‘ shock
absorbers work on the „de carbon“ principle. There are several different types of shock absorbers that
have been specially adapted to the corresponding motor bike. The reason why Öhlins‘ shock absorbers
work so well is their precision!

The second problem that exists with the original
exhaust is that you cannot use it on long distance
travels as you don‘t get unleaded fuel wherever
you go. The Remus exhaust can be used with or
without catalytic converter. The front silencer can be
exchanged so that you can decide whether you want
to fit a catalytic converter (KAT) or not.
The new R1150GS features a front silencer separated from the rear silencer. Thus you can either replace the front silencer (w. or w/o catalytic converter) or
the rear silencer (for a better sound and look).
All parts are interchangable.

Ceramic Clutch
Since the trip report about Mongolia and the BMW R 1100 GS „Monsterkuh” at the latest, you will know
about the problem: In the long run, the clutch of the R 850 GS/R 1100 GS/R 1150 GS does not stand the
extreme stress of off-road or sports riding and can break down completely within a few seconds. Frequent
acceleration and driving at high speed on narrow and steep mountain roads is like an endurance test for
the clutch which starts getting hot quickly. Most long distance travellers riding one ofthe above models will
be able to tell you, at least roughly, how to change the clutch or where you will find the next workshop.
The ceramic clutch has been developed in Africa for use on Africa‘s extreme trails and for off-road trips.
Since its introduction it has proved to be reliable. The ceramic clutch is much more durable and can be
used under more extreme conditions than the original clutch. Even when climbing uphill on narrow tarmac
roads with heavy luggage the clutch will work perfectly.

Sump guard

Our sump guard protects the centre stand and the
front silencer against damage from stones or other
objects protruding from the ground when riding off
road. As the sump guard plate is bent upwards, it
prevents sand and dirt from penetrating the space
between the engine and the gearbox, so it protects
the crankshaft seal from dirt and increases its life
considerably. Our sump guard mounts to the centre
stand with four clamps. The rubber elements on the
clamps provide vibration isolation. The plate is CNC
machined from 4 mm aluminum.
The engine guard extension was deliberately
manufactured without holes or cut outs to maintain
the motorcycle‘s „slip“ on rocky tracks when riding
off-road.

For enduro riders falls are part of the game. The rider is well protected,
but what about his bike? We have developed crashbars for the R 850 GS/R 1100 GS/R 1150 GS and
Adventure that really protect the motorbike. Rugged mounts attach to the bike in 6 places. Two crossbars take the lateral forces. Steel, available in black only. The crashbars have a stepped joint below the
crossbar. To carry out any maintenance work on the motorcycle, only two screws have to be removed.
Removing the entire crashbar is not necessary.

The BMW R1100 GS has several weak points which
prevent enduro riders from riding the bike under
extreme off- road conditions. Here is the solution.
Problems occur when the workload on the rear
frame is too high, i.e. After a jump or when riding
with heavy luggage. The rear frame mount on the
gear- box casing simply cracks.
Another weak point is the footpeg mount. Under
extreme stress it may break the gearbox casing; i.e.
when dropping the motorbike onto the footpegs or
after a fall.
When mounting our parts - we refer to these as hard
parts - frame problems will belong to the past:

That BMW has sold more than 100000
R1100GS and R1150GS is a success story difficult to
match. No other motorcycle design has
inspired so many motorcyclists to travel the world. No
other design is at the same time so unique and so versatile. However the good old GS is not getting
any younger, and with so many R11GS on the road, many owners are looking for a distinctive new look,
and also for something lighter and slimmer. TOURATECH has been working on this. The result is the
new TB1100 / TB1150 ReVamp, a GS renewed while retaining all of its original strengths. TOURATECH
has combined the excellent engine and chassis of the R1100GS and R1150GS with a fresh and modern
design. Now every 4-valve GS owner has the opportunity to transform his or her GS into a dynamic riding
machine of the new generation.
With our kit, both the R1100 GS, R1150 GS and the ADVENTURE can be transformed quickly and economically into an authentic ReVamp. Naumann Design created the design; a new, narrower tank, together
with new fairings, adding a stylish one-piece saddle and a windscreen with optimum aerodynamics for
the comfort of the rider. ReVamp assembly time is estimated to be 6.5 hours by an experienced technician
(except painting). It was designed to be accomplished without drilling even one hole. Restoring your GS to
original likewise requires only 6,5 hours. Conversion of Adventure requires seat mounting parts (from the
standard GS) which are listed in the instructions. Detailed English instructions can be downloaded from

covers you will receive our tried and tested 41 litre tank designed for long-distance journeys. With a
ReVamp EXTREME you will not only be well prepared for travelling to far away continents but also for a
weekend trip to the Black Forest. Naturally, the “EXTREME” can be further equipped with many items from
our comprehensive ReVamp and 1100/1150GS ranges to suit your individual requirements. Please have
a look at page 459 (seat and cockpit plate) before ordering. On our test ride to Bolivia we could test
the benefits of this conversion kit under the most
