Corinne DALLE ORE
Always rich in color, collages & different materials, Corinne works on her paintings for giving them a tactile dimension. Her style is reflected both in the
brushstrokes and in the composition: she tears, glues, paints & writes, bringing to the canvas colors that are either explosive or subdued, inspirational
words, playful images, details from another time. The artist transforms our perceptions and manipulates photographs with enthusiasm. She creates a
world both abstract & figurative. Humorously, she uses offbeat sentences or details cut from magazine. The world of Dalle-Ore is in perpetual motion
and invites the viewer's eye to travel across her canvases.
Paris, London, New-York, Dalle-ore questions our capitals through her "city snapshots". She looks at buildings like an architect, fascinated by
skyscrapers, the interlocked geometric masses, the neon and illuminated signs. She captures the tension of big cities and reveals their energy. Prone to
abstract from reality, Dalle Ore manages to impose fantasy & poetry amongst the chaos and tumult of the city.
She creates a world in which aesthetic pleasure is immediate. Sincere & passionate, her works appeals to both neophytes and well informed collectors.
BIOGRAPHY
Born in Saint-Tropez in 1969, Corinne Dalle-Ore began painting in her hometown before leaving to study in the United-States where she obtained a
scholarship to a university of arts in 1987. Back in Paris, she studied at the Academie Charpentier and the Ateliers de la Grande Chaumiere.
In 1991, she changed direction and became involved in music. After working for eight years in the recording industry, she went on a long trip through
Asia. It was during this year-long adventure that she produced her first travel sketch books and decided to devote herself fully to painting again. Among
her sources of inspiration, in addition to her major influences, Basquiat & Twombly, Dalle Ore readily admits a real affection for the 1950s & 1960s, the
old-fashioned aesthetics of the advertising posters of the time, their colour and their specific grain of paper.
