Unterstützte Betriebssysteme und Update Kit 2 für Eurex Release 8.0 Simulation
Sehr geehrte Handelsteilnehmer,
seit dem 13. Juni 2005 werden die Betriebssysteme Sun Solaris 10 und Sun Solaris 8 für Eurex,
Xetra und CCP in der Simulations- und Produktionsumgebung, sowohl auf MISSes als auch auf
Workstations, parallel unterstützt. Um den Teilnehmern ausreichend Zeit für den Upgrade ihrer
internen Systeme einzuräumen, wird der Support für Sun Solaris 8 bis zum 31. Juli 2006 verlängert.
Ab dem 1. August 2006 wird Sun Solaris 10 das einzige unterstützte Betriebssystem für Eurex,
Xetra und CCP sein, da der Support für Sun Solaris 8 über den 31. Juli 2006 hinaus nicht möglich ist. Zusätzlich verlängern wir den Support von Windows XP SP1/SP1a, der nur für Workstation-Installationen angeboten wird, für Eurex und CCP ebenfalls bis 31. Juli 2006.
Am 14. Oktober 2005 wird nach Handelsschluss das Update Kit 2 für die Eurex Release 8.0Simulation versendet. Es wird dringend empfohlen, das Update Kit auf allen MISSes und Workstations zu installieren. Es enthält einige wichtige technische Verbesserungen und kann ab dem
17. Oktober 2005 in der Simulation zum Einsatz gebracht werden. Obwohl die Installation des
Update Kit nicht obligatorisch ist, wird diese dennoch dringend empfohlen.
Zusätzlich werden die Software-Kits auf der EEX-Website zum Herunterladen bereitgestellt. Der

Supported Operating Systems and Update Kit 2 for Eurex Release 8.0 Simulation
Dear trading participant,
Since June 13, 2005, the operating systems Sun Solaris 10 and Sun Solaris 8 for Eurex, Xetra
and CCP have been supported in parallel in both the simulation and production environments on
MISSes and workstations. In order to provide members with sufficient time to upgrade their internal systems, support will continue for Solaris 8 until July 31, 2006.
From August 1, 2006 onwards, Sun Solaris 10 will be the only supported operating system version for Eurex, Xetra and CCP, since longer support for Sun Solaris 8 will not be possible. In addition, support for Windows XP SP1/SP1a, which is provided for workstation installations only,
will also be extended for Eurex, Xetra and CCP until July 31, 2006.
After close of trading on October 14, 2005, Eurex will distribute Update Kit 2 for Eurex Release
8.0 Simulation. Installation of the update kit is recommended on all MISSes and workstations.
The update kit contains some important technical improvements and can be used in simulation
from October 17, 2005 onwards. We highly recommend installing the update kit, even though
installation is not mandatory.
