HierH
Wir bedanken uns für den Kauf Ihres
Panorama-Röntgengerätes ORTHOPHOS XG 3 PPE
(Pay Per Exposure).
Mit diesem Gerät sind Standardaufnahmen des Kieferbereiches sowie Kiefergelenk- und Bissflügelaufnahmen
möglich.
Die Anzahl der Aufnahmen ist limitiert.
Sie haben die Möglichkeit, 5 Pakete mit jeweils 200 Aufnahmen zu erwerben.
Mit Freischalten des fünften 200er Pakets wird die Limitierung der Aufnahmeanzahl aufgehoben, d. h. das
Gerät kann uneingeschränkt genutzt werden.
Sie erhalten von Ihrem Händler einen ActivationCode,
mit dem Sie Ihr Gerät für die Anzahl der Aufnahmen freischalten können.
Machen Sie sich mit Hilfe dieser Gebrauchsanweisung
mit dem Gerät vertraut, bevor Sie Aufnahmen am Patienten machen. Beachten Sie dabei bitte immer die
gültigen Strahlenschutz-Richtlinien und die Warnhinweise.
Diese Gebrauchsanweisung setzt den sicheren
Umgang mit der SIDEXIS-Software voraus.

Im Interesse der Sicherheit und der Gesundheit der Patienten, der Anwender oder Dritter ist es erforderlich, dass
in festgelegten Zeitabständen Inspektionen und Wartungsarbeiten durchgeführt werden, um die Betriebssicherheit und Funktionssicherheit Ihres Produktes zu
gewährleisten (IEC 601-1 / DIN EN 60601-1 etc.).
Der Betreiber hat die Durchführung der Inspektionen
und Wartungen zu gewährleisten.
Kommt der Betreiber der Verpflichtung zur
Durchführung von Inspektionen und Wartungsarbeiten
nicht nach oder werden Störungsmeldungen nicht
beachtet, übernimmt die Sirona Dental Systems GmbH
bzw. ihre Vertragshändler für hierdurch entstandene
Schäden keine Haftung.

Sie haben beim Kauf Ihres ORTHOPHOS XG 3 PPE
eine bestimmte Anzahl von Aufnahmen mit erworben.

Nach jedem Einschalten mit dem Hauptschalter sowie
nach jeder durchgeführten Aufnahme zeigt das Gerät
auf der Digitalanzeige des Multipads die Hilfemeldung
„H 330“ an, die Sie über die verbleibende Anzahl der
möglichen Aufnahmen informiert.
Diese Hilfemeldung erinnert Sie daran, rechtzeitig eine
neue Anzahl von Aufnahmen zu bestellen.
Das nebenstehende Beispiel zeigt die Meldung bei einer
verbleibenden Anzahl von 61 Aufnahmen.
Diese Hilfemeldung muss mit der „R“ Taste quittiert
werden.
Sie können durch Ihren Servicetechniker einstellen lassen, ob diese Meldung beim Einschalten angezeigt wird
und ab welcher Restaufnahmezahl diese Meldung nach
jeder Aufnahme angezeigt wird.
Wenn alle Aufnahmen verbraucht sind, erscheint
anstelle der Aufnahmebereitschaft die Hilfemeldung
„H 331“. Diese Meldung zeigt Ihnen an, dass keine Aufnahme mehr durchgeführt werden kann.

Freischalten des Aufnahme-Paketes
Zur Freischaltung der von Ihnen erworbenen Aufnahmen benötigen Sie einen „ActivationCode“, den Sie von
Ihrem Händler erhalten haben.
Dieser ActivationCode enthält Informationen über die
Anzahl der Aufnahmen sowie die Serialnummer des
Gerätes. Deshalb ist dieser ActivationCode nur für Ihren
OP XG 3 PPE gültig.
Der nachfolgende Ablauf ist exemplarisch bei Verwendung des Microsoft Internet Explorers unter
Windows XP beschrieben.
Der ORTHOPHOS XG 3 PPE muss eingeschaltet sein.
Zuerst muss die IP-Adresse Ihres OP XG 3 PPE ermittelt werden. Folgen Sie dazu der Anleitung auf Seite 7.
Geben Sie die IP-Adresse ihes ORTHOPHOS XG 3
PPE in den Internet-Browser eines Praxisrechners ein.

Bei jedem Aufruf der ORTHOPHOS XG Webseiten wird
nebenstehender Dialog angezeigt, bevor die eigentliche
Webseite dargestellt wird.
Diese Dialogbox muss mit „Ja“ bestätigt werden.

HINWEIS
Nach dem Erstkontakt ist ein Zertifikatsabgleich (Betriebssystemfunktion) erforderlich (siehe Anhang,
Seite 8).
In Ihrem Web-Browser wird nun die ORTHOPHOS XG 3
Webseite dargestellt.
Der Bildschirm zeigt zunächst die „Configuration“
Ihres ORTHOPHOS XG 3.
Hier sind Gerätedaten aufgelistet, die beim Dialog mit
Ihrem Servicetechniker nützlich sind.
Nützlicher Tipp:
Sie können sich die ORTHOPHOS XG 3 Webseite als
Favorit oder als Verknüpfung auf dem Desktop speichern. Damit entfällt eine erneute Suche nach der
IP-Adresse Ihres Gerätes.
Weitere Informationen hierzu finden Sie in der Hilfe Ihres
Internet Browsers.

Halten Sie Ihren „ActivationCode“ bereit.

Klicken Sie „ActivationCode“ an.
Es wird nun eine Webseite mit einem Eingabefeld für
den „ActivationCode“ angezeigt.
Geben Sie Ihren „ActivationCode“ in das Feld
„ActivationCode“ ein.
Bestätigen Sie durch Anklicken von „Enter
ActivationCode“.
Haben Sie den ActivationCode korrekt eingegeben, wird
eine Zeile mit diesem Code und "ACCEPTED" angezeigt. Damit ist die von Ihnen bestellte Aufnahmezahl
freigeschaltet
Sollte der Code mit dem Zusatz "FAILED" angezeigt
werden, kontrollieren Sie bitte den Code und geben ihn
erneut ein.
Wird trotz korrekter Eingabe der ActivationCode nicht
von Ihrem Gerät akzeptiert, wenden Sie sich bitte an
Ihren Händler.

HINWEIS
Jeder ActivationCode bezieht sich auf eine bestimmte
Serialnummer eines Gerätes und gilt deshalb nur für dieses Gerät.
Jeder ActivationCode kann nur einmal erfolgreich eingegeben werden.
Wenn Ihr Aufnahmen-Paket freigeschaltet ist, können
Sie den Web-Browser wieder schließen.

erste Mal aufgerufen, wird der Zertifikatsabgleich
durchgeführt.
Der nebenstehende Sicherheitshinweis wird angezeigt,
falls das Zertifikat des ORTHOPHOS XG noch nicht installiert wurde.
Klicken Sie „Zertifikat anzeigen“ an.
Die Dialogbox „Zertifikat“ erscheint.
Klicken Sie hier auf „Zertifikat installieren“ und
bestätigen Sie mit „OK“.
Der Begrüßungs-Dialog „Zertifikatsimport-Assistent,
Willkommen“ erscheint.
Klicken Sie auf „Weiter“.

Operating Instructions ORTHOPHOS XG 3 PPE
General information
Dear customer,
Thank you for purchasing your ORTHOPHOS XG 3 PPE
(Pay Per Exposure) panoramic X-ray unit from Sirona.
This unit enables standard exposures of the jaw area as
well as exposures of the mandibular joint and bite wings.

The number of exposures is limited.
You have the option of acquiring 5 packages each with
200 exposures. When enabling the fifth package containing 200 exposures, the limit on the quantity of exposures is lifted, i.e., the unit can be used in an unrestricted
manner. You will receive an activation code from your
dealer, which you can use to enable your unit for the
quantity of exposures.
Please familiarize yourself with the unit by reading
through these Operating Instructions before taking
any X-rays of patients. Always observe the valid
radiation protection regulations and warnings.
These operating instructions assume that you are familiar with the use of the SIDEXIS software.

Maintenance
In the interest of the safety and health of patients, users
and other persons, inspection and preventive maintenance must be performed at scheduled intervals to
ensure the operational reliability and functional safety of
your product (IEC 601-1/DIN EN 60601-1 etc.).
The system owner must ensure that all inspections and
maintenance events take place.
If the system owner fails to fulfill the obligation to have
inspections and maintenance work performed or ignores
error messages, Sirona Dental Systems GmbH and its
authorized dealers cannot assume any liability for resulting damage.

You purchased a specific number of exposures along
with your ORTHOPHOS XG 3 PPE system.

Each time you turn on the main (power) switch or take an
exposure, help message "H 330" will appear on the digital display of the Multipad to indicate the remaining
number of possible exposures.
The purpose of this help message is to remind you to
order new exposures in time.
The example on the left shows this message with
61 exposures left.
This help message must be accepted by pressing the
"R" key.
You can have your service engineer activate or deactivate the display of this message during power-on and
set the number of remaining exposures at which it will
start appearing after each exposure.
When all of the exposures have been used, help message "H 331" will appear instead of the exposure readiness display. This message indicates that no more
exposures can be taken.
This help message also must be accepted with the "R"
key.

2 Activating the exposure package

Activating the exposure package
To activate the exposures you have purchased, you will
require the "ActivationCode" you received from your
dealer.
This ActivationCode contains information on the number
of exposures and the serial number of the system for
which they were purchased. This ActivationCode is thus
valid only for your OP XG 3 PPE.
The following procedure is described based on the
example of Microsoft Internet Explorers under
Windows XP.
The ORTHOPHOS XG 3 PPE must be switched on.
First the IP address of your OP XG 3 PPE must be
determined. To find the IP address, follow the instructions on page 7.
Enter the IP address of your ORTHOPHOS XG 3 PPE
in the internet browser of your practice computer.
"https://XXX.XXX.XX.XXX"
Each time the ORTHOPHOS XG web pages are visited,
the adjacent dialog box will be displayed before the
actual web page appears.
This dialog box must be confirmed with "Yes".

NOTE NOTE
When opening the program for the first time, a certificate
check (operating system function) is required (see attachment, page 8).
The ORTHOPHOS XG 3 PPE web page is then displayed in your web browser.
The screen initially displays the configuration of your
ORTHOPHOS XG 3 PPE.
All of the system data which might be useful when contacting your service technician are listed here.
Useful tip:
You can save the ORTHOPHOS XG 3 PPE web page as
a favorite link in your browser or as a shortcut icon on
your desktop. A renewed search for the IP address of
your system is then no longer necessary.
For more information, please check the help function of
your internet browser.

Have your "ActivationCode" available.
A website with an input field for the "ActivationCode"
is then displayed.
Enter your "ActivationCode" in the "ActivationCode"
field.

Confirm your entry by clicking "Enter ActivationCode".

Click "ActivationCode".
If you entered the activation code correctly, a line displaying this code and "ACCEPTED" will appear. The
number of exposures you ordered is now activated.
If the code is displayed with the comment "FAILED",
please check the code and enter it again.
If your system does not accept the ActivationCode even
though it was entered correctly, please contact your
dealer.

NOTE NOTE
Each ActivationCode refers to a specific system serial
number, and therefore applies only to this system.
Each ActivationCode can be entered successfully only
once.
You can close the web browser again as soon as your
exposure package has been activated.

Checking the "Counter Info"
If you click "Counter Info" in your web browser, the
number of remaining exposures will be displayed.
You can check the number of remaining exposures here.

Determining the IP address
You can read off the IP address from the digital display
of the Multipad on the ORTHOPHOS XG 3 PPE as follows:

3 Determining the IP address
Write down this address so that you will be able to
enter it in the internet browser of your practice computer later on.
You can switch back to the parameter list by briefly
pressing the Service menu key.
If you press the Service menu key again, exposure
readiness will be displayed.

If you are visiting the ORTHOPHOS XG website for the
first time, a certificate check will be performed.
The adjacent safety security certificate will be displayed
if the certificate of the ORTHOPHOS XG has not yet
been installed.
Click "View Certificate".
The "Certificate" dialog box then appears.
Click the "Install Certificate" button and confirm with
"OK".
The "Welcome to the Certificate Import Wizard" dialog box then appears.
Click "Next".
